  • Excellent. Takes me back a bit. Thanks for posting!

  • We use to race there a lot, even the famous Snow Bird race

  • Who was Jan Gabriel's partner in these commercials? I remember these on WLS radio in Chicago from Thursday until SUNDAY!, SUNDAY!, SUNDAY! This was some of the best radio marketing ever produced. US 30 was the place to be when you were growing up in the late 60's and early 70's. Jan Gabriel missed his calling. He should have been a Havard Professer of radio marketing. He could have taught those overpriced kids a thing or two about selling on radio air time. He was simply the best at it!

  • lol

  • Rest in peace, Mr. Gabriel. Not many people knew your name, but EVERYBODY knew your voice!

  • RIP Jan Gabriel

  • "Flame throwers and red hot blowers, DON"T tell your mother you're going"

  • 'First race track I ever went to. 'Lived up in Highland, and the thrill of going to the "strip" in the mid-sixties for a teenager was indescribable. God bless guys like Jan Gabriel. They put some of that "spice" into life for lots of people. ☺
