The guy admitted that he put on a mask for the sake of the judge and didn't look at Irving once in five days. In other words, because he could not hide his disdain for Irving, he would not look at him. Are we to actually believe the Judge did not pick up on this? Also, his obvious disdain, which he painstakingly describes to us, belies his statement that he had nothing against Irving. What lies these people tell!
