It IS backwards...well, flipped, actually. Mainly with the directions (east is west, west is east) and the eye that Midna has covered with the Fused Shadow piece.

Yeah maybe it was to protect her identity, but i think it was more because twilight invaded Hyrule. So why she would not be the twilight princess now? lol

That was maybe the  translators idear. In the german version she calls her something like "Ruler of the shadows" while midna is still the Twilight Princess. I think she called her that way because zelda is the ruler of Hyule, that is now also a twilight realm.

Midna calls Zelda "Twilight Princesss" for 2 reasons:

1) To protect her identity.

2) To make fun of Zelda's decision to encover the world in twilight so she could stay alive.

It's like this. Say your brother was the ruler of Pie. You are the ruler of Cupcakes. Your brother surrenders his kingdom to someone who overtook yours. Since his kingdom is now part of yours, & he was still the prince of Pie, you can now call hime "Prince Cupcake."

@PiePiyo Well Zelda didn't surrender for the sake of her own life. She saw what the Twili could do and decided if they went to war... well they would definitely lose.

She probably would have given her life up though, *Spoiler* since later in the game when she temporarily gave her life to save Midna's when she was dieing from the power of the light spirit.
