Remember reading about these guys at the tme,but they got no airplay in Canada, and could never find thier albums, even on import or in the delete bins.Better late than never.Great hard rock.
This is insane! So ûbergreat it´s just funny! Almost 35 years old. Still waiting for someone to write something heavier/cooler than just before the lead break. I mean, listen to M Diamonds bass sound! :-) The whole song is just...way coolest! LD is a fave band, indeed!
Saw them in Wichita Falls, TX (of all places), my home town. Also saw Moxy there too, not the same show btw, BOTH SHOWS KICKED ASS COULDN'T TELL YA WHO OPENED FOR EITHER BAND WE WERE THERE TO SEE THE HEADLINERS, DAMN I MISS THE 70'S AND THE 80'S! IT WAS THE BEST TIME FOR MUSIC! EVER!
umm...wow, i can't believe i've never heard this song before!!! I'M OBSESSED!! this shoulda been a HUUUUGGEEEE HIT!!! ugh, damn record companies....oh well, CRANK IT UP MOTHA FUCKA!!!
Legs Diamond and Moxy were two great bands that never got their just dues. They were hot in SA though,,I've seen these two band multiple times and they were always fantastic.
I laugh when these words pass my lips. "Damn kids don't know shit these days" - I sound just like my dad. Well...it's true. I guess I can't blame them, with all the crap they've got to choose from these days.
LD opened for Styx during their Grand Illusion Tour back in 77 in El Paso, TX. I was 15 yrs. old then and LD was THE reason why I went to that show.
(Back then) they were one of those little known, no airplay, non-commercial bands....and I like my rock that way. They rocked much harder than Styx, of course.
@MeanrBeanr My Dad (I'm 15) Was talking about seeing Styx in El Paso (Home Town for me too) Just THIS MORNING! This Is THE MOST KICK-ASS ROCK AND ROLL EVER! These guys, Jo Jo Gunne, Wishbone Ash, Ten Years After, Humble Pie and UFO should have been so much bigger! LONG LIVE ROCK!
Oh man I used to listen to this wit my GF back in 80, I dig these this Band. I think I was the only 1 in SLC that was onto these dudes. Not of my buds knew these guys. I listened to legs and the surf Punks fer yrs ......Fucking Rock on!!!!
Yeah the local CD shop had to special order the CD for me, they were like "Legs what?" lol. It was worth the $20. I could listen to this song forever.
Awesome, you even have some Budgie tracks. I miss S.A. Left there in the 80's. I bet you have "The Gods" don't you dude? You got to post "The Gods are RockNRoll machines". No place rocks like SanAntonio did in the 70's and early 80s.
San Antonio well always be the capital of metal rock!!! I'm in Seattle now and they don't come close to what true rock is!! I've seen Legs many times and they kicked ass over and over!! I just wonder why they never got bigger than they were??
I'm right there with you Scorpions[Uli Roth}Sweet Grand funk,Three Man Army,SilverHead Tucky Buzzard Alex HarveyCaptain Beyond- Granicus White Witch. The 70's Ruled!!
God, I love being from SA in the 70s. Legs, Mahogany Rush, Budgy, Moxy, Oz Knozz, April Wine, Too Smooth, Scorpions, UFO, GEEEEEEEEEEEZ! Joe Anthony and Lou Roney, we salute you!
I agree. I also use to listen and see Moxy whenever I could. Joe Anthony was the Godfather. He put San Antonio on the map. I call Korea my home now a days but I am still rocking out to the music of my youth and San Antonio!
@munerider - right you are my friend. KISS FM and KMAC broke many of bands WAY before they were known, including Rush. Those were the days my friend. Joe Anthony and Lou Roney were so outragous. Never be a time like that again (unfortunately). Long live SA, Esay, Rock City. Too Smooth... thank you for including. Best unknow band EVER. They were my life.
he doesnt own it, he just works there..he lives a humble life now. but he just put on a show two days ago at the cadillac bar here in san antonio. it was awesome! he can still rock!

Man i remember we could barely get some shit on the Radio from San Antonio with Joe Anthony if we listened Really hard in Corpus Christi... he fucking Ruled the Airwaves ! ! ! !
i adore Budgie... back in 1978 or 79 my mom asked me if i wanted to go see George Thorogood in concert and i said naahhh and she got home and said Budgie opened for him and i about died!
i like their ultra mellow "slip away" and "quacktors and bureaucrats".
i promised the hubby i wouldnt log onto Ebay for awhile LOL... yeah i did miss out on that Budgie concert.. i didnt let her forget it for many years... she kept saying "i didnt know they were the opening act!" and im like well u should have called me from there...lol
The Best with Joe Anthony and 99.5 never forgotten he was and will be the Best !! San Antonio is and will always be the Capital of Rock n Roll and Heavey Metal !!!!
Hell yea Joe Anthony was the best and is still the God Father of Rock n Roll The Best!!!! He is the Hero of San Anto Always will be !! The Best!!!!San Antonio The CApital of Rock n Roll The Best !!
