  • there is a soulfulness in your singing that grabs an individual heart string and this song is no different

  • Such a Beautifull song........:)

  • kenny chesney has THE best version hands down

  • @TheBlumpking69420 kenny chesney sucks

  • @TheBlumpking69420 ok i take that back just heard kennys version its up there with the best i just don't like most of his music

  • OH yah she nailed it

  • love her..but chesney sang it better<3

  • fabulous! Dave Loggins asks the question passionately and Reba gives him his reply with just as much. Dave get back to Tennessee pronto!

  • Tim, please come to Florida!! There aint nobody like me in Canada=)

  • I do not like this version one bit....Kenny Chesney...him and his guitar....the live version from DENVER.....that's the best remake of this song....in my opinion...

  • Reba has such an amazing voice. She was the one that got me liking country music. I look forward to all of her music old or new.

  • Reba is the best female singer of this song. She's a special Lady!

  • This may be one of the greatest coivers I've ever heard...

  • REBA DID A GREAT JOB SINGING THIS SONG BUT DAVE LOGGINS SINGS IT BETTER THAN ANYONE COME ON

  • She did a good job of singing the womans point of view of the song. I didn't expect this. "He said." Guess that's why they are who they are.

  • Thanks Reba for giving this song a feminine touch. Kudos!

  • Love love love this song soooooooooooooooo much :D

  • Good version, but it just seems to be lacking that plaintive, slightly mournful sense that you get with Dave Loggins' version. I am not dissing Reba's version at the all, I just think that Dave gets the true feeling of the song, that this guy longs for his woman but he longs for the wandering road just a bit more.

  • A beautiful song (have always wanted to sing it, but my voice and the song are not a good match:)), and Reba covers it well --

  • A face a man would die for...

And a voice that would take you to heaven

  • I've always loved this song by Dave Loggins and now that you've posted Reba's version , I guess it will be a tough choice as to which one is the best....Both artists have brought tears to my eyes with their soulful voices : )

Thank you so much for creating this video !!

  • Sully no no no...nothing is ever better than the Original D.L. better than R.M.

  • so beautiful and so old...56

  • Wow she did this rendition a lot better then the man that sang it. Very nice.

  • I love Reba and this song so much

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Does not compare to Dave Loggins at all. He has such cry in his voice that you can almost see the pain of this song.

  • Adore this version. Thank you so much for sharing. Gorgeous song and yes, hits my gut as the best version.

  • this is one of my favorite songs. A true classic. And I love this version. Great Job Reba!

  • I just love Reba so much

  • great song from the start and when Reba redid it just makes it even better love reba

  • i like all of the versions that i have heard of this, but i personally prefer the live cover that tori amos performed.

  • I love this song and Reba does a great job......love Reba!

  • I Love Reba's Version But I Like Wade Bowen's Better He Made It Amazing =)

  • grow up and listen to good music, or go listen to snoop dog you morons

  • Love Reba

  • I thought harry chapin wrote this song but i am not sure so thanks for clearing it up and what a voice reba has.

  • I always thought that Reba was a cutie, but your video made me see just how beautiful she is!! Thanks

  • This is Dave Loggins song..settled!

  • Oh, yes yes yes - taken from Bastards.

    <3 u 4ever

  • 3:46 - ah-mazing!!

And there ain't nobody like me

    I'm the number one fan

    Of the man from Tennessee

    love it <33

    Tarantino ;)

    p.s. I luv u, Soul Sis.

  • ur high dave coe wrot this song

    -daves son joe

  • What are you yakin' about. David Allan Coe didn't write this. He made a damn fine record out of it, but he didn't write it. Look it up.

  • garth brooks done a good version of this song as well. so did I think the dave matthews band.

  • Let me settle this one. I know Dave Loggins and this song very well. Dave Loggins wrote this song and had the original and best version ever on this song. Hope this clears everything up. David Allan Coe only wishes it could have wrote a song like this.

  • beautiful rendition...

  • I still long for Dave Loggins expression of this song - this voice though .............superb!

  • This the first time I have heard Reba's version of PCTB

I am impressed !!! Her crackely voice is PERFECT for

this heart felt song...adding just the right amount urgency

to the wonderful lyrics. You go girl !!!

  • This is the first I heard it by Reba, too. I have to say she is right behind loggins on this one. I don't care for the other verions at all.

  • good insights : )

  • her voice is NOT crackley!!

    not even a LITTLE!!

  • Very nice

    I like it very much

  • David allan Coe...pure genius....best song writer besides kristoferson

  • This song is by Dave Loggins, covered by David Allan Coe.

  • Not a big deal, DAC has written plenty of others that other people have covered such as the ride

  • written by coe for loggins to release

  • Well, you are wrong but you can believe whatever you like. Do a little research before you answer on a whim.

  • American Country website wrote:

Wikipedia says David Allen "Dave" Loggins, cousin of Kenny Loggins (Footloose), wrote this song that hit the top pop charts in '74. And David Allan Coe sang it, also.

Wikipedia writes that Dave and Kenny Loggins are brothers and that Dave Allan Loggins wrote this.

  • awesome!!

  • I've always loved this song.

  • i know i love it too. and i think it is the best version. ♥

  • me too! i don't like it by jimmy buffet, although i love him.
