First of all. There are no Christian suicide bombers. Even if there are, Christianity does not teach it. Secondly, Christianity suggests that at the price of living true Christianity, you will be persecuted, and maybe even killed. It's just the way it is. Some martyrs see it as a privilege to die for their faith, perhaps for reasons that have to do with giving life and strength back to the church, but you don't have to see it that way as you are set on your beliefs about

Forums like this (the internet) will make it much more difficult for young people to believe in religion. The information age offers inquiry and discussion, this is something that has not happened before in history, religion was always off limits where you had to "respect" any and all claims made by the church.

So much of what religion postulates has been disproven (creation, the great flood, young earth, etc.) that any statement that the religious base (bible, koran, torah, etc.) is infallible has been made moot and leaves the religion open to criticism. Debunk the source via it's argument and not the source directly and it's authority is diminished and it's argument null and void.

The Roman Catholic Church added a few books in the 13th century, we obviously don't consider those to be inspired (just as additions have been recently made to the koran). Other than that, there is one Bible with different English translations that are also called "versions." You can say whatever you want about the Bible, and many have tried to discredit it, it still stands firm.
1. The first recorded confession of faith was 3 years after the death of Christ. And the last recorded Gospel was about 35-40 years after the death of Christ (around 65 AD).
2. We don't have different "versions" of the Bible that contradict each other, the different "versions" are different translations of the same God-inspired Bible, translated from the original languages. I thought you would know this one man.

Revelation is nonrational not irrationtional, in rationalism anything that goes boyond human natural reasoning into the realm of mystery is rejected as irrational, not so. Maybe the idea of superstittion among seculars has some legitimacy when it comes to exposing false religions by science, but labeling every religion as superstitiion is a bit of an exaggeration.

So much of what religion postulates has been disproven (creation, the great flood, young earth, etc.) that any statement that the religious base (bible, koran, torah, etc.) is infallible has been made moot and leaves the religion open to criticism. Debunk the source via it's argument and not the source directly and it's authority is diminished and it's argument null and void.

Please read John 4:6-7, Luke 2:7 and John 1:14. These show that Jesus became truly human. He was fully God and fully man. It is not shameful to say that as a baby he emerged from Mary's vagina, or that he was taught to clean himself as a child by Mary and Joseph. It is most glorious that Jesus humbled himself for our sake like this.

Thank you Mr. Piper for not being ashamed of the gospel and motivating others to share and use all that is allotted them. I really enjoyed your Dont Waste Your Life sermon. I say enjoyed because it reminded me of where I have been slacking. Focusing on growing my businesses which will burn eventually, rather than growing/producing more fruit for Him (Matt 13:23). Yes it can be denied, I've seen with my own eyes Muslim Egyptians coming to Christianity like crazy. Adultery and drunkenness are strictly prohibited by the Bible. Just because you see those things in the West doesn't mean this is Christianity.Furthermore, to convert to Christianity in the Arab world means persecution, torture, and even death. The Roman Catholic Church added a few books in the 13th century, we obviously don't consider those to be inspired (just as additions have been recently made to the koran). Other than that, there is one Bible with different English translations that are also called "versions." You can say whatever you want about the Bible, and many have tried to discredit it, it still stands firm.

Get your facts straight:
1. The first recorded confession of faith was 3 years after the death of Christ. And the last recorded Gospel was about 35-40 years after the death of Christ (around 65 AD).
2. We don't have different "versions" of the Bible that contradict each other, the different "versions" are different translations of the same God-inspired Bible, translated from the original languages. I thought you would know this one man.

When the task was completed, not one version was similar to the other, so he burned all copies and kept only one which is the koran today. Does that sound like a holy, reliable book to you? Even so, assuming the koran was reliable, one man wrote it in one lifetime, and even so, it's not cohesive.

Also, true believers are supposed to be a minority in this world, because we're in the world but not of the world. However, there are more Christian converts that you can imagine. In the Arab world alone, more Muslims are coming to Christianity that you can imagine. I lived there and I know. Muslims are increasing only through birth (birth rate of about 8 kids per woman, as opposed to 1.8 for Christians). So to be more accurate, for everyone 1 Christian convert, you have 8 Muslim babies born.

The King Version is just a translation of the Bible. It's fine having errors in translating from the original Hebrew/Greek.

The entire New Testament talks about Jesus' deity. He is the God who took on human form, therefore the NT addresses Him as both God and Man. The Bible doesn't only say that He existed before Abraham, but that He existed eternally.

Volumes have been written about the Bible and its reliability. In fact, no book in this world has more manuscripts than the Bible does. It's followed only by Homer's Iliad, which has many less manuscripts. The koran doesn't come close to that, not to mention that it was written by one man who had 9 wives and countless concubines while commanding everyone to have 4 at most. Does that sound like a prophet to you? Why do you believe Mohammad?Because you grew up in a Muslim home?Not enough evidence.

The fact that you use such foul language shows how what kind of god you follow. Anyway, one of many passages where Jesus claims to be God is in Matthew 16:16-17. Jesus claimed to be God, backed those claims up by rising up from the dead. The koran on the other hand was compiled by Omar Ibn el Khatab when many of the people who had it memorized were dying, he then burned all copies except for one, which is the koran you have today. Does that sound reliable to you? Sounds like a joke to me.

Jesus has always existed, appearing to many in the Old Testament, He came to this world through birth. "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM. (John 8:58). As for the Luke passage, you should finish the verse: "it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you." The Bible was written by 40 men, inspired by God, and many of them died for what they saw. Mohammad was pagan. The word Allah is pagan; jaheleya age.

According to the Bible, Jesus was never created, He is the Almighy God, creator of the universe who took on human form to come and save many. I won't get into foolish arguments with you about it, but fact is that thousands of Muslims come to Christ every month through different methods. One of the many reasons I believe the Bible is that it was written by 40 different men over 1400 years with ONE cohesive message.The koran was written by one immoral man over his lifetime. Muslims are coming to Christ by the thousands annually in each Arab country in the Arab world with the exception of Saudi Arabia, and the numbers are increasing rapidly. To God be the glory forever! With love to my homeland of Egypt, where God is moving with might and great power. By the time you have finished reading this, many have already come to salvation in Christ Jesus.

Moses of Old (if he existed and he probably didn't) had a big army and killed thousands of people. He had a man stoned to death for working on the sabbath day. The man was a dangerous fanatic and a genocidaire. Along with leaders and prophets like Jacob and Jephthah, he wiped out entire peoples and religions.

Furthermore the validity, soundness, and relevance of argument have no relation to the author's ability or inability to "relate" to the subject at hand. Arguments stand on their own, without reference to emotional states of individuals.

You're really easily led aren't you? Do you believe EVERYTHING you hear/see/read? Have you EVER met a really wealthy person who is foolish with money? John Piper will promote himself as being frugal because if he turned up wearing an armani suit he wouldn't be down with the proletariat and therefore wouldn't be able to sell to them. Surely the money would be better spent on good causes like stopping poverty, curing diseases and preventing war?
