@jordan3222002: As this is a 1972 live performance on German TV: Move to Germany - we have lots of them - but be warned - they have gotten sillier somehow - women in the 70s, 80s + parts of the 90s were smarter + more intelligent.
brulee ferry is the pop monnn, since he..., the whole world has declined in popular culture, from then on in, the counter culture haqs emerged once again, brian jonestown massacre an post veterans to psychedellic 90s to mdma 00s has left us with a large gap of reunition ready to be mind fucked by the 2010sssssssss let go mother fag boys and girls and make some good music, our lethargic apathy is infuriatingly slow. jump into the river of sound motherfuckers.
Yey, this is amazing, what a band. Somehow I had only known about Ferry and Eno separately and had missed all of this. I am looking forward to getting all the roxy music I can. Thanks for posting!!
Lolz, you must either be a troll or highly misinformed.
Aside from being one of the top glam bands of the early 70s and influencing countless groups from The Smiths to Talking Heads, they also got Brian FUCKING ENO's career bloody started, while also managing to put out classic albums like their debut, For You Pleasure, Siren, Country Life, and Avalon.
Plus, nothing else really sounded like them. Not even Bowie.
@1nterwebs . Thanks for the reply, this was our art college anthem, always seemed stuck on the duke box at the Angel in Southampton when no one had any money!

Bass players just don't get it do they? locked in a time warp! GET YOUR HAIR CUT MY SON!! LOOK AT MR FERRY, NOW THAT'S WHAT YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING LIKE!!!
you know what pisses me off. theres some dickshitter sitting WITH HIS BACK TO THE FUCKING BAND...DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE HEARING AND SEEING IN FRONT OF YOU!!??? i was born in 1986
I remember watching this on TV in Germany when it first broadcast. I lived in Bremen and a girl from my class actually got into the taping. TV was different then. The show ran longer than scheduled as Roxy was having a good time and they ended up playing a bunch more songs. Roxy Music was my favourite band and I was a very happy teenager.
@michiganpie I think that's something Bowie once said, and I agree, Eno's solo is the high point of the song. And like FelixMechant said, I just commented elsewhere that Eno is a fucking genius.
Producing succesful records. The last Coldplay & U2, for example. But he has done so much great things, solo records, collaborations (David Byrne), produced masterpieces (Remain In Light)...
virginia plain witha filter tastes nicer & is an extraordinarily convenient way of paying tax on ones state severe disablement allowance benefits. chain smoking is also a great my of keeping one mouth shut whilst intermittingly excercising my lungs. Deb @ voluntary income taxpayer.
Too right, did you hear the story about some early (early) Bowie tapes ('67-'68) were "wiped to make room for other recordings". God willing someone was recording in the world at that time. Now they make a fortune off of Bowie's stuff they saved because he was already Ziggy and that was selling. Jackasses.
haha - totally - you should check out their version of remake/remodel from this same show (earlier in the set, before the costume change!) - during his solo he does this flashy little hand gesture on the piano that blows my mind every time
Super Eno

lucky for us. Eno's solo albums are way super cool. bottom line: Roxy is great with Eno and Roxy is great with Edwin

I disagree. Roxy was great with Eno. Roxy was good after he left.

no worries. i'm an ENO fan. i love him in ROXY and i love his solo stuff too. w/o a doubt, ROXY was an entirely different creature with ENO :)
