Anyone who has actually shot real rifles at metal targets knows how violent bullet fragments can be, even when striking properly constructed and angled plates. The fact that the subject received no injury is mindblowing. Mulitple angles on the handgun, relatively close proximity to vital organs and face, and a tiny margin for error. Hard to believe this shot was even attempted.

at 50 yards the target will be a perfectly fine size through an average rifle scope. snipers are sharpshooters trained at long range. these specific ones are not likely trained for the range our military is but 50 yards is a cake walk.
