  • Ms. Dionne W. and Ms. Dianna R are both GREAT performers, both have their own style of delivering a song, I believed that even if Ms. Dianna sings one of Ms. Warwicks song, she would sing it her own way. Therefore both versions are GREAT, because they sang it from their HEART not just beacuse of others dictates.

  • I love Dionne but this is horrible.

  • Now I appreciate Diana Ross so much more after listening this version.

  • alguien puede bajar you re all need to get by plis

  • I meant Dionne and Toni Tennille version of He's Gone! Simply awesome! And her version of Daydreaming... I love!

  • I'm such a fan of Dionne...but i must say I'm bias to this song and I'm not liking this version! I love, love her version of I Wanna Be Your Everything and her and Tammie version of He's Gone! Now those songs she killed!

  • Dionne knows more about music all encompased - and has been one of our greatest for the last 50 years. I nearly cry when I realize that her once fabulous voice just cannot get up to those wonderful high notes she once hit so easily. She still brings to the stage and studio the lovely gift God gave her. Yes, I hate growing old too, but you know; there's a certain beauty in it. We were there, we saw, we heard artists that are either old or gone now and are forever in our hearts!

  • I nearly cried, I hate growing older!!!

  • Dionne brings so much to this performance that it's almost a catalogue of her many vocal stylizations. It truly captures great depth of feeling, with that unique tenderness as only she can. Very special!

  • Diana's version is awesome, but this is the adult version!

  • @micksutube Miss Dionne's rendition is painfully slow, and makes listener's long to hear the original. The melody of this song is not one to be distorted - as Miss Dionne does by adding lyrics where there ought not be any.

  • @kahntraversi Dionne's reinterpretation was revelatory. Dionne tapped the lyrical content of this song for every single ounce of meaning it has, perhaps at the expense of the melody...because she can! In her day, her breath span was astounding and her innate understanding of subtlety and nuance second to none; the latter is undiminished! Their interpretations are worlds apart; they take the listener to entirely different destinations. I do love both, but Dionne's struck a deeper chord in me!

  • is she still singing? i bet her voice is badly damaged from yrs. of cigarette smoking.

  • Magnifique ! I love a lot !

  • So Powerful and emotional...

  • Love It? Makes me cry every time I here it! Flood of memories pour in ! Some hard to

make sense of now then or ever with relationships of what could have should have or would have only if? Life!!

  • What Year did she sing this and what concert? Simply amazing

  • C'est la 1ère fois que j'écoute cette version et j'en suis ravi !

  • Diana is a favorite of mine but this was a fantastic version! Props to Dionne!!

  • fabulous!!!!!!!!! the one and only....Dionne Warwick!

  • I'm a huge Diana Ross Fan and i can't believe Ms. Warwick would even dare to sing this iconic song of La Ross....But..... I'm so very amazed at this performance that i'm so grateful she did. Spectacular!! Live!! Alive!!

  • @masmano . You don't hear many covers of the songs Ross made mega famous because it's not easy to sing "her" songs.

  • horrible remarks to such a lady like dionne. I can't believe what i read. Her voice , her presence and her great personality is what we need to concentrate on. uffff. I believe she is nothing but a lady.

  • this one of my all time favorite song by my alltime favorite miss diana ross .dionne ' s arrangement is awsome by my all time favorite DIONNE WARWICK LOVE THE HELL OUT OF IT.

  • Da'um, Whitney could stash crack rocks in Auntie Dionne's freakishly large nostrils.

  • @mikesterSTLMO you are right I wish she had a perfect nose like Streisand!!!

  • @mikesterSTLMO absolutely one the most horrible things i've ever heard! And i'm sure you look perfect?

  • @Anaidvideo Well I don't know about perfect; I don't like to brag. Besides, physical

'perfection' is subjective. Also I'm such a huge Archie fan that I can't battle with you. I love me some Archie:-----)

  • God she stinks. Miss Ross herself must have wanted to slap da bitch.

  • @mikesterSTLMO Sorry Diana has always admired Dionne and the two are good friends. Next insult, I there are plenty of other Dionne videos to critic.

  • @Nikray I'll take your word for it that they are friends, although I'm skeptical. But OK, let's find another crappy Warwick performance to bash. You're right, it shouldn't be very hard. Hey I know, did you ever see Dionna butcher Streisand's With One More Look At You? See you there:-)

  • @mikesterSTLMO You must really need help have at it run find as many as you need to satisfy your needs, show everyone how great you are....

  • I've always loved this song ever since I first heard the original by Diana Ross. This is not an easy song to cover. After hearing Diana Ross' perfect version, any other singers covering it would be just second rate, I thought. But Miss Warwick is a brilliant song interpreter, she eases her style into the song and gives it a new sound. I'm impressed, even though Diana's interpretation is what I'll always hold closest to my heart.

  • ...what a kind of voice!!! lovely...and soundly....

  • she has a great voice but I wish she would have kept the original melody line. changing it too much makes the song almost unrecognizable.

  • @yurherenow That's because it had to be adjusted to Dionne's style of singing to make it easier for Dionne to sing. I do agree that she changed the melody line too much. It almost makes her sound desperate, like she's trying to hard to impress..

  • im 27 and this is the first time i ever heard this song, and yes im in tears, why there is no more music like this today?

  • Dionne slowed it down and breathed new life into the song long associated with Diana Ross. Some might not realized that Warwick may have recorded the song before Ross did. Warwick's tenure at Warner records has alot of unreleased songs she recorded. I suspect her recording of this tune is in their vaults.

  • @mkbell2003 Interesting hypothesis, but it's highly improbably. You see, "Touch MITM" was the VERY first song Michael Masser ever composed. He has said numerous times that he was commissioned by Berry Gordy to come up with a hit for Diana Ross. Masser says he dreamt up the title with Diana in mind, long before he had a complete melody line written.

  • @SmoothCinnamonX lol, really?? the song really is sooooo diana ross.

  • Dionne has stated that this is one of her favorite records and she loves Diana's recording. I love what Dionne did with the song she did not try to do Diana. Dionne is an amazing musician/singer and this is a great cover.

  • Agree totally Nanenoah. Love Diana's and am glad to hear this too.

  • I grew up listening to her, even though Portuguese is my mother tongue, and years after, after I had somehow managed English, I attended my first Dionne's concert, I was mesmerized by her crystal-clear voice one more time! This rendition of Touch Me In The Morning makes me cry thinking about the biggest love I have ever had...

  • I love Dionne, but this song is best left to the Supreme diva Miss Ross!

  • I have to agree. Dionne is one of my favorites, but this song doesn't suit her.

  • I remember being very young in 1985 & won tickets to see Dionne. Didn't know who she was, but got the tickets anyway & took my best friend. We had front row seats at the Fox Theatre. We were so close that we could see her big toe in her opened toe shoes & she smelled so good, I remember the perfume was Chantilly..my friend was so mesmerized by her voice & so was I. She looked down at him & said, "Smile"...he melted & has never forgotten that to this day. Dionne is amazing!!!

  • Thanks for sharing that. I really enjoyed reading it. Clay

  • @ClayCarlos, you're more than welcomed, just one of those things in life a person never forgets.

  • Dionne fucked Barry up in this duet he had no chance!

  • Gorgeous! Shines a whole new light on this classic. Dionne has magic like no other :)

  • She's going to perform in Bangkok on Dec.20 and I'm just glad to be one of her audience. It's sure is the best new year present for me.

  • as the time changes the unique voices getting disapear, is that possible? no i'M not right...hope yeah there's a lot excelent voice

  • i wish i will se and kiss dionne warwick !!

and thats one of my dream!

she is my favorite in all time even thou im a 15 yrs old but i love her songs, voice style for being a simple ferformer !!

i love dionne!! and iknow my dream will come true but im on manila!! in short in the town of MAnny PAquia

  • Just read in the sunday paper that she will be at The Castro Theater in San Francisco in February.....I planned to be there to cheer her on. I never knew she and Diana were friends until Diana mentioned it a few years ago....apparently, they were fairly close at one point. Nice version that she makes her own.

  • i didnt like the intro until bout 45 seconds into it but then Dionne steals it.great performance, thanks for posting

  • Rumor has it that a studio recording of this from 1980 is sitting in the vaults at Arista. Maybe if we all write to Mr. Bronfman at Warner/Rhino he'll be moved to dust it off and release it. This live version was recorded in France back in '85/6.

  • @DejaVusee Thanks for the info. Do you know if there's a stereo versions of this live performance?

  • Music is great The Person is a superstar

  • i love Dionne Warwick

  • wow! I LOVE her! Super!

She is one of the kind... I wish I could meet her

in person. I LOVE DIONNE WARWICK!

  • Fantasia.

  • Has anyone got this in stereo?

  • I can't stop myself listen and listen this song with Dionne!!!!! Beautiful!!!

  • This rendition of this song is absolutely incredible! Of course it was a super hit for Miss Ross, but Miss Worwick took this to a new level. I think this should have been released as well. Mr. Masser has such powerful lyrics. He tells great stories through his music. WOW!!

  • @koneal Just FYI: Michael didn't write the lyrics to TMITM, Ron Miller did.

  • What year did she sing this????

  • The way to sing a song with vivid sections of life unfolding. Only she knows how to do this.

  • i am hearing this a totally different story...A>>>M>>A>>ZING

thanks for this. Definately and addition to the repertoire....mmm hmmm

  • They've always sang each others' songs beautifully, as they're both very dramatic in their deliveries. This version draws out the drama even more. Very nicely done!:)

  • I found this quite a while ago;I was floored by the restructuring of the song;she takes you on a journey and you don't want it to end and yet when it does you feel complete,if her performance had been given in a motion picture, she would have won an oscar for sure. She gives this song a soul that absolutely pulsates with intensity and an unforgettable message that you keep listening to because the message is worth hearing again, Great job by Ms. Warwick.

  • I loved it Mike...

Thanks so much for sharing and sending....

When I think of past loves I think of this Song...All my past loves now are in heaven but now someone else has been sent my way and I know the Ones in Heaven are smiling down on me...

Who knows maybe they got together and found this special someone for me...

I wouldn't put it pass them at all....Thanks again Mike you are a true friend!

    Bob

  • Could this be any better! DIONNE WARWICK is

    better than best!

  • She's always great in my mind.

  • She is a Beautiful Woman.....Even Now....God bless you Dionne Warwick.

  • She is perfect

  • Dionne proves she's one of the greatest singers. Shame on "rolling stone" magazine for leaving her off the top 100 list.

  • I've never heard this version by Dionne, thanks for posting. I've seen her in concert a few times over the years, but never saw her perform this song.

  • You're welcome :)

  • wow!

  • sHE IS A PERFECT CLASSIC SINGER. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

  • Dionne gives a great theatrical performance here; she takes you on a journey and she invites you to experience every part of it with her;she gives this story a soul and it takes flight with determination and an intensity that holds your attention until its resolve;your fully satisfied with the ending, and she makes you long for more and so you watch the video again and you should, as I did.Great performance Dionne.

  • i would love to hear a studio version of this by ms warwick, this is so beautiful

  • yimheretoday......Watch your mouth........Show respect to a Beautiful Woman...

  • thank you for sharing Dionne's songs to us. Do you have her version of YESTERDAY I HEARD THE RAIN?

  • Im sorry but i haven't

  • @bluearrow51

    On YouTube at watch?v=NcmsPNyJ9Ow&feature=related

  • @bluearrow51 Yesterday I Heard The Rain by Dionne is now on the Tube.

  • Dionne is a song stylist and her phrasingn is awesome, she tells a story. JHudson is starting to reminde me of Dionne telling the story not just singing with big vocals. Dionne needs to be on A Idol to help the kids tell the story.

  • Interesting version of this classic song!

Wonderfull performed.....but still prefer Diana Ross´ version

  • yimheretoday: Why don't you shut your ignorant mouth? What do you look like? It is easy to sit behind a computer and toss insults at others. The woman is in her late 60s or early 70s so give her a break . Her vocals are very good on this song and highly emotional, i really feel her on this. GOD Bless you Dionne for the joy you brought to so many ppl with your GOD given talent. She has one of the most peaceful soothing voices of all times. Yimheretoday get bent!

  • This damn version brings tears, tears, tears. So damn emotional right now. Dionne, Dionne as I type this I am in tears from your annointed voice. so naturrrrrrrrel, so pure, so Dionne!!!

  • She truly made it her own. Love the arrangement.

Espetacular! Incomparável! Perfeito! Inigualável!

    Dionne Forever!

  • maaarvalous!

  • If your gonna "cover" a song this is the way to do it. Dionne really makes it her own. (with no taking away from Diana's brillant version)

  • I think this recording is from 1992-ish, although she did also perform it in 1985 or 1986 on Solid Gold : D

  • Thank you so much for posting this. A wonderful performance by a shining talent.

I'm age 58 and have followed her career for

decades. She has never disappointed. You owe no apology. The images you selected for this are delightful, but to me the most important thing about a music video is the music. Congratulations. You did this well.

  • I am speechless.

  • Absolutely brilliant.

  • Maravilhosa!!!!!

  • So glad this song is back, fell in love with this rendition a while back..Emotive and dramatic..Love it!

  • Although Diana Ross's one remains perfect, this was incredibly beautiful and really goes among Dionne's best performances. Thanks for posting. Is it possible to know when it was recorded?

    Greetings from Pavia, Italy.

    Giorgio

  • The previous poster of this recording said it was from 1985 :)

  • LOVE THIS SONG and LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!!! Siiiing Lady Dee!
