  • You're all morons lol. Zeppelin didn't copy Hendrix, and Hendrix didn't copy Zeppelin. They both came from essentially the same influence, and if you hear a riff that Hendrix made you can't say Zeppelin stole it because chances are Hendrix recycled it from one of his old blues heros. Same goes for Zep.

  • I love his use of "9" chords, he just rocks those so well. It also makes it so the root "chord" if you will is in the middle of the scale.... I know that sounds really general but it definitley helped me out learning guitar adopting his sort of style. It's too bad he didn't stick around just imagine how much more he would have influenced music.

  • How the fucks this rare if its on youtube....

  • Sounds like a guy just beating out some chords to me. What's so great about this? I do it and people say, man that sounds like shit, but Jimi does this and every says, wow, what a guitar god. LMAO

  • @morpheus3d its because noone likes you.

  • page more feel that hendrix?....nt sure

  • That's not acoustic, it's clean electric

  • @freakflagflies HEYYYYY U FUCKINGGGGGGG IDIOT U HAVE NO MUSICAL EAR CLEARLY ACOUSTIC

  • Hendrix: Best left-handed guitar player

    Page: Best right-handed guitar player

Either way they dominated the guitar and other players during their time

  • hendrix and page???????? TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GUITAR STYLES AND SOUNDS AND TECHNIQUES.

  • Page and Hendrix were different. Electrically Hendrix was much heavier with his amps and distortion, Page was cleaner and in my opinion had more "feel". I prefer Page's solo's over Jimi's as they draw more emotion, I like Hendrix best when he is picking or chopping. My fave Hendrix song is Little Wing, possibly unmatched by any rock guitarist. Too many by Page to list here.

I wish Hendrix would have stayed with us so that he and Page could have jammed together, imagine that gig?

  • @johnnyfry2 How was Page Cleaner please tell me? Strat vs Les paul really... ...Have you even listened to Hendrix he has plenty of clean stuff

  • awsome jam but i could go without the image shaking

  • one person clearly clicked on the wrong button

  • sounds like someone cutting up coke in the background ?

  • this sounds like bron yr aur by led zeppelin.. and the song no quarter page took the riff from machine gun .. well they did say the page , clapton , townson and all the british guitarist used to look up to jimi so it doesnt suprise me that the all stold shit from him

  • HEY listen to the jam Atlantis Blues on my profile its the jam jimi plays right after this one

  • HEY MAN I HAVE THIS SAME RECORDING is the tape you have of this jam 2 hours?

  • Page and Hendrix drank from the same soul well, nuff said. Calling either of two geniuses derivative is a profound life-fail

  • @sonatine23 What do you mean by "soul well"? Hendrix wasn't known to be into black magic was he?

  • @TTmaniax no i dont think he was. his illuminati employers were though.

  • @TTmaniax we called him self the voodoo child yea he dabbled in some which craft not to he was full blown in any one belief but he did explore

  • thats from the rare ass " black gold " boxset on midnight beat label huh ? yup it sure is right ?

  • As was said previously, music is always a rip off, but there is always evolution... but sometimes someone comes along and there is a paridgm shift which pushes what is known to something new, that is what Mr Hendrix is capable of, a fucking paridigm shift.

  • why the banter? Spread the love... r.i.p Jimi

  • this is not hendrix??? is it?

  • this isnt hendrix

  • Just enjoy the fuckin music for what it is. If you wanna bitch about Hendrix playing a Zeppelin song, go listen to zeppelin and get the fuck off this video, dummies. Page, Hendrix, whoever.. They all just wanted people to enjoy the music, either you do or you don't.

  • Jimmy Page is a rock god, just like Jimi

  • how do we know this is even a genuine Hendrix rec?

  • Nossa que lindo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Demais

  • lmao begging og this sounds like led zepplins black dog

  • yea jaja they probly stole it from him. the voice and stick sounds in the back is mitch on brushes on phone book

  • @mechtech104 I was thinking more Bring it On Home.

  • Everybody takes from Jimi therefore He is the greatest

  • page is a rip off in my opinion

  • @osirouslui70

This is a poor use of the term "ripped off." Today the term has an all encompassing definition, when applied to one artist taking the chord progression or basic riff of another. Go back 80 years, when the blues was first being recorded by major artists. Apply the term then, and Robert Johnson ripped off Son House. Further down the road, BB King ripped off of T-Bone Walker. These men did not rip each other off, they instead sought to emulate and enhance, same can b said with Page.

  • @osirouslui70 Hendrix is a Rip off old blues musicians who were a rip off of older musicians who were a rip off of older musicians who then ripped off of older musicians. Music has evolved over many years pretty much this way...building off what came before.

  • @osirouslui70 Page is far from being a rip-off. Only superficial, musically ignorant people would say such things....

    They're both great.

  • Zeppelin ripped off Robert Johnson and Howling Wolfe. They were good at stealing music.

  • Bluesman always "rip off" other bluesman. Robert Johnson and Howling Wolfe both made a living in part by playing other peoples licks. Its a sign of respect. Btw Page, Hendrix, and all the other great guitarist from that time until now have one thing in common, Lenny Breau.

  • Nah that's not true Lupin. Breau came after Johnson and Howiling Wolfe. And Hendrix wasn't influenced by Breau. Hendrix got his jazz influences from Christian and Wes.

  • everybody learns from everybody. the only absolute origin is God, but maybe he learned from jack the ripper or somebody

  • Page is a cheap imitation of Hendrix. Yes Page and Led Zepp both are influenced by Jimi Hendrix..

  • you must be kidding!!! are you saying that "Rain song" could possibly be a rip off??

DUDE,,, Get a grip,,, i like hendrix better too, but to say that Page is a cheap imitation of Hendrix??????,, thats lunacy !!! Sure,, he did copy some licks, but MY GOD Page,,, and you have to admit it,, was a GREAT writer! They are and will always be great in my mind,,,both of them!

  • Jimmy Page is a Hendrix influence. Page was robotic.

  • Pages playing isn't influenced by Hendrix. Every guitarist including him looked up to him but he certainly wasn't influenced, SRV, yes but Page no. He wasn't robotic.

  • ellfrutas

  • u must be retarded zeppelin and hendrix werent really the same generation zeppelin got big after hendrix died not during man

  • Comment removed

  • @stranger1786

    Well...

They were slightly big during Jimi Hendrix time of living, i mean, they were invited to play at woodstock ;o

  • @stranger1786 Zeppelin I came out in 68...Same time as Are you Experienced?

  • @stranger1786 They released Led Zeppelin one year after Hendrix released Are You Experienced , so I guess you must be retarded.

  • @H3jfisk 2 years and he didnt say anything about theyre album. so your retarded, you cant read and you dont know your facts

  • @thepurplepuf 2 years or 1 year, it's pretty much the same. I actually don't care. Stop being ignorant, enjoy the music.

  • @stranger1786 You are 100 percent correct. buy any album of LED from the late 60's and you will hear mostly cover Blues songs.

  • tu a été le meilleur.

    comment avoir les texte?

  • that beginning song was led zeppelin

  • no it was'nt led zeppelin either. GOD are there any people with just a little musical intelligence here???

anyone saying Page was a rip off is nuts,, sure he played some of jimi's licks,,, but dont ev ery other guitar player on the planet do the same??? COME ON PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

  • what are you talking about?

Jimi was playing zeppelin song in the beginning.

  • just a riff from the song the ocean

  • Anyone saying Page was a rip off is nuts,........ sure he played some of jimi's licks! :o)

  • @jhendrix page is a known "rip off" artist. taking from blues guitarists. ex: howlin wolf - killing floor and zeppelins - lemon song.

    Do your research kids.

  • i think rip off is a harsh term - i like to call it more "appreciating" than stealing

he never tried to pass all of his riffs as his own, he acknowledged that he derived much of his material from early blues guitarists, simply because he loved that genre so deeply and wanted to incorporate its sounds and ideas into zeppelin's heavier style

  • watch "it might get loud", the scene where he plays "rumble" by link wray. he was not a thief, merely a true lover of blues, only wishing to carry its meaning into a new realm, even if that meant "borrowing" a few riffs here and there

  • @KingKoopa jimi was playing zeppelin before zeppelin was zeppelin

  • yea man they all idolized eacothers skills..

only if they all did play together then that would have been the ultimate session

  • @febzoe the tracks are in heaven maybe you'll get to hear some of the new stuff there putting out up there, i hear its really out of sight

  • @mphillips0052 Yup I agree.

If people weren't copying licks, I doubt we would even have that many guitarists on this world. Stevie Ray Vaughan is heavily inspired by Albert King, but nobody blames him (nor should they)

  • @mphillips0052 Who said Page was a Jimi rip off? They are apples and oranges...Both so different but so great!

  • @mphillips0052

    weird.

i hear no hendrix` inspiration in page`s playing.

    page himself is an inspiration

  • @mphillips0052 actually zeppelin ripped off motown and black soul hits. they were sued for it several times as well.

  • @joetheman0131 They ripped off the prolific blues songwriter Willie Dixon, who wrote "You Need Love," recorded by Muddy Waters, which became "Whole Lotta Love," "Bring It On Home" (Sonny Boy Williamson), "You Shook Me," (Waters), & many others & they had to pay Dixon a 6-figure settlement before he died. Page took the position that his guitar work made the tunes theirs, but Plant didn't bother changing any of the lyrics.

  • @mphillips0052 I'd love to know any licks from zeppelin, the yardbirds, or anything that bares any similarity to Hendrix, because im almost possitive there aren't any.
