Great interview. I remember reading about the fire in the studio in an interview, it's apparently what inspired Robert to write "Pictures of You".

Love the part about saving Mary from a fire by the way, as if she'd be standing inside the house with her arms crossed going "Where the hell is Robert, it's getting hot in here!" She could be trapped inside the house of course, but yeah...

If religion was outlawed people would be very unhappy because their right to believe what they wanted would be violated, countless charity and social services would be demolished, and many people who rely on religion for a sense of meaning or comfort would find themselves in a meaningless world. And that's not even scratching the surface.

I'm not religious at all, but I think it would be fascistic to outlaw religion, some people just need their god.
