  • hahaha...christ !...was thinkin the same thing

    ....lmao

  • holy jesus look at tha eyebrows on that guy @ 1:07

  • they should do a video game about lobster wars!!!

  • It seems these boats have a problem retaining good crew so they hire "the willing" and because of that the following diasters will and have occurred. The girl was dumb but brave in trying to get that knife to him. I give her props regardless.

  • Haha I want to be a lobstermen . where can i find those job???

  • @marg189 in maine/ mass

  • Ops !!

First off, what the hell are crewmen doing on the port side of the stack when your setting gear, and Rach, what were you thinking climing on top when nobody knows whats going over next. Didn't you here the captain yelling to keep away??

    Can you say, ClusterFuck??

  • @dickylobster he's on the port side of the boat so he can set the gear!! duh!!! The question is what is doing there without a knife..

  • LOL...great way to start the season.

  • @virdafjell lol asshole.

  • how do you haul trawl with a stupid crew like that,of my god that girl on the boat is really stupid

  • Totaly agree with Inzanezombie, thoses guys are noobs. First rule when you are seting gear is to remember how you stacked it on deck so you know which trap is going to be pulled next. Obviously they didn't put the right trap ready for lauching and ended up with a line mess. And by the way, in three days from now I'll be at sea fishing lobster that's why I'm watching all thoses vids

  • 4 crew members??? lol!! We only have 2.. and they still can't stack trawl right ha! nOObs. Why didnt buddy climb around the back of the stack and give him a knife instead of darting around the front? And the other guy wasnt even trapped. He just wanted to cut the line lol. The Seapup2007 stupid lobstering move is the best :D

  • @Inzanezombie they are pulling from every witch way back and front

  • @buggeazy102

thats impossible...if you know how to stack pots and gear...theres no way they would be coming from the back, row for row, port to star, not fwd and aft stacked..so it would be the last 2 rows coming.. theres bouys on the other end..whoever stacked the trauls would know or should know exactly what lines to cut immediately.

  • @Inzanezombie not the back bottom crazy! the back top he needed to cut the rope from the top befor it reaches him they are pullin from front botton an front top the girl stood on the middle back to hand him the knife the only way to get out for him was to cut the back rope jump on the side cut the ropes that pull the top front middle front an bottom front

  • does nay one know the theme song to this show???

  • I bet the captains just face palming himself, thinking to himself 'where the fuck did I find these dumb asses.'

  • Skelly, James and Bruce were the best crew ever aboard the Timothy Michael !!! We never had these issues.

  • does anyone no the name of the intro song?

  • Hey flyingbansheedude, Obviously, something wasn't done right. But don't judge all of the east coast because of what you see here. As far as women on board. Would you like to say that to Linda Greenlaw (one of the best captains of all time) or susiebhel?

  • Rachael you can fish with me anytime !!!

  • fucking idiots...with a crew like that I wonder if they can fish anything...

  • holy shit that was intence

  • Yeah, old superstition says 'a woman on board brings bad luck'. Yuk-Yuk-Yuk!Sorry Rachael but it seems right, besides, big speakers with no protective grilles are a real strange feature of the boat! The camera crew are obviously getting in the way and distracting the operation. To stay focused and alert, the working space has to be free of obstacles, now these fragile speaker cones are just wild. Wasting precious moments avoiding things that shouldn't be there - all good for television, Huh?

  • Holy Shit! When i go and set traps with my uncle i was afraid something like this would happen. These people are boneheads tho.

  • fucking idiot

  • what a bunch of wingnuts...lol

  • brutal work. these guys are a poor example of the offshore fleet of the northeast. most crews are experienced and run a tight ship. alska boys work hard too, but you have hylolics to move your gear around. these guys physycally (after hauled aboard) have to pick, bait, then stack the gear. then handle all 40 again setting them out. alot more physical then crabbing. sorry west coast

  • dude u dont have a fucking clue ever heard of dungeness crabbing we move all 150 pound pots by hand we run a pot every 25-55 sec depending on depth thats in the block emptied baited and over the side this is pussy work compared to what we do im deckboss/blockman/engineer on a 78ft boat the BLAZER we can burn throu 500 pots in 16 hours and turn and burn till were full at 80k pounds we are by far the fastest paced crabbers in the world if u wanna call bullshit on me come check it out for yourself

  • We did a 50 trap trawl in 22 minutes. Pussy work huh ??? we were 77 feet and did 600 traps in 14 hours. We flat stack 6 high and our traps are 110lbs+ If you are that fast, come to the trap hauling contest and proove it !!!

  • these guys are retarded compared to us west coast and alaska fisherman

  • Why didn't he have a knife. I though a knife was standard equipment?

  • is this show ganna be on in 09

  • omg this is hilarious "4000 pounds of gear" XD

  • what a joke ,, ha-ha-ha ,, thats the worst display of deck hands i have ever seen ,, stay away from nova scotia waters ,,lol,, you will be lost at sea here ,, what a joke,,

  • haha i noe man i fish in newfoundland but i was a few seasons in Nova Scotia

  • These guys are nothing compared to the crab men

  • That's why they get pay wayyy less then them.

At least I think they do.

  • that's what can happen when you trawl traps. One at a time, and you don't get stuff like that mess happening

  • dont think they are very clever the guy throwing the pots down on the deck then putting his feet in the rope kicking it my skipper would have run out and kicked me if he saw that always let it go out its self. and they also must have made an arse of coiling the rope onto the boat before it went out like that. Very dangerous jumping in cutting the rope to

  • this crew must be green is all i can say...

  • you know, having a woman on board is bad luck, and now you know why...superstition doesnt happen for no reason, in my town a woman is to NEVER board, even docked, also you cant fish on xmas or a friday, last time that happendn a whole fleet was lost

  • that is a total concidience.

    superstition is bs

  • they are called centerboard cooks? i think

  • maverick have a lady and she brings GOOD luck :I

  • Yeah I respect anyone that puts there body and mind through this.......

The whole series available on DVD from Monday 19th May

  • i am a lobster fisherman ,,, and this is the first time ive seen lobster wars we dont get it on basic cable,, and yes lobsterign truely is a mans job,, its hard work well the off shore fishing is,,even some men cant handle it
