The best tutorial on this type of diaper cake I have found. And trust me I have search for like two nights now. I didn't want to do the rolled diaper cake where each diaper was rolled with a rubber band and had the hardest time finding a tutorial on this type of cake. THANK YOU so much. VERY helpful!!!!!

@milagros711 - I actually tied wire around him right under the underarms and tied him to the wire that holds the diapers together... you can use rubber bands too to hold the diapers together. then tie the wire to the rubber bands.

You don't show how you held the diapers & put the wire around them, you also don't show how you attached most of your decorations. For someone who's trying this for the first time there's too much missing from your video. A person would have to already know how to make a diaper cake in order to follow your video.

@angeltien - i hope it was helpfull.. One person commented that she uses cake pans and put the diapers in the cake pan to help keep them together.. That is another easy way to keep there round shape while fanning them out.

Love the jungle theme!!!! I borrow wedding cake pans from my sister-in-law and use them to mold the swirled layers. Much quicker and easier! Swirl them really tight and then tie with white yarn or string. Dump it out and the layer comes out perfectly. Also, Walmart brand diapers(stage 2) are pretty cheap - about $14 for 2 packs (80+ diapers total). I buy a pack of cooking skewers from the $1 store and use them to old cake together. Ring at top of skewer can be used to tie/anchor toys at top.

I am so excited you liked it... I love doing these cakes because it is easy to get creative in making it personal. You can make a whole gift out of it with attaching toys or bibs and even blankets. Have fun and hope your sister will love it and enjoy.

The bottom teir has about 40 to 50 diapers. The top teir is about 20 to 30 diapers. You can add more just scrunch them together more.
