  • i just looked up this ad so i could find out what the song was. cheerin

  • you dont happen to have parts 2/ 3??

  • I always thought that it was on a slight curve so that he was going so fast that he couldn't account for the variable of a truck appearing as if out of nowhere.

  • A way bigger threat is from, almost amusingly, livestock while speeding on country roads. Cars in front of ya? No problem. You can usually see them miles ahead and slow down easily, but livestock and horses and deer will jump out of you and BAM your dead. But big flying animals don't seem as effective with ads...although they're sometimes more dangerous than hitting a truck.

  • Why did he try to drift entry that country corner, This aint japan.

  • up to 0:20 looks like an ad for a car company O.o

  • Would've been a better commercial if the guy got out of the car and yelled FATALITY

  • I've started to notice Australian PIFs are like English ones, only they grab you by the balls, swing you round while holding them, throw you against the wall, kick you in the groin and scream in your face 'DO THIS YOU FUCKING FUCK!'

  • I love this ad: take the advertiser's use of speed and exhilaration - the freedom to do as you want and conquer the road - its all such a great game - then translate it to the real world. If we all behaved like they do in the ads, if we all bought the rush of a fast car as portrayed, then we would miss the truck ahead, we would make a mistake, we would come off the road, and likely kill ourselves. I “got” this ad.

  • Gotta love how faked this ad is.. there was no truck in view for miles then all of a sudden hes up the ass of a truck, even if he did drift.. he would of hit that truck...

all ads ive seen from the RTA are bullshit :|

  • I don't suppose anyone knows where this was filmed?

  • This ad is stupid. Even if the bloke was speeding he would've seen the truck from miles off. No one goes that fast around a bend if they can't see properly. There's a difference between driving fast and complete stupidity..

  • @Davez621 little dick - rta ad campaign

  • hmmmm i though he would got hurt more cuz he got T-boned

  • the offender's car in this add is quite obviously a Ford Falcon ute, you can tell by the shape of the front of the car, plus the shape of the head lights.

  • The person in the magna should watch out for oncoming drift.

  • @Davez621 Australian no one thinks big of you ad. People wave the pinky finger at people who speed as in small dick no one thinks your cool :) Watch it : Speeding:No one thinks big of you

  • flooded it mate?

  • ONE LESS FORD ON THE ROADS, WIN!

  • thats a holden. you can tell by the grill

  • @thegrim504 its an AU ford falcon.mate . do you know your cars ? apparently not , pause it at 0:12

  • i had a friend years ago him and a dickhead in another car was drunk with his wife who was pregnant with 2 kids in the back the drunk guy overtook my friend and went over the line a bit and hit a truck he said it killed all the family. was nothing left but legs thats enough for me not too speed

  • @auzziads

The RTA does want us to think we are dumb, they are communist ghouls & are run by curry munchers who have come to Australia from a land of riding elephants & swinging through trees, then they tell us how to drive.

    They can fuck off.

  • he didnt need that ford anyway

  • I used to drive to work on that road everyday.

  • Comment removed

  • I consider this ad a FAIL, just like most RTA speeding ads. The road could be signposted at 100 and he could be doing less than this.

His mistakes are: overtaking on a blind corner, not noticing the truck in front till the last possible moment, maintaining control of vehicle for the conditions. All of these are dangerous regardless of speed and still could have happened if he was within the limit.

Just like the "pinkie" ad, what is shown is irrelevant to the intended message.

  • LOL thats what happens when you drive a ford xD

  • thats not a ford

  • If he bought a Holden that wouldn't have happened

  • haha oh ...care to explain why that wouldn't happen?

  • not, a ford taurus is safer

  • is it a RX8

  • thats a mazda :P

  • Thank's

  • what is the name of the ute and brand of the ute

  • NO Speed Limits on OZ!!!

  • Unfortunately there are.

New South Wales was the last state to have un-limited roads. We have more road crashes now due to unsafe roads which are poorly maintained.

The Northern Territory was the last jurisdiction of The Commonwealth to have no speed limits & they are having more crashed & deaths, why?

Because it takes longer to get to your next locality, therefore fatigue & also it takes longer to overtake a Road Train doing max limit of 130kph.

Speed is a factor in a crash, not a cause.

  • i have seen cases in which the faster driver was saved coz he moved out of the other vehicle earlier

  • lol thats a silly remark

  • Lol they paid about 20 bucks for the two shitty cars used in this ad

  • The start makes you think it's a ford ad o.o

  • what a cunt that got in the way lol, typical bogan dickhead AU ute driver with about 9000 bullbars and arials

  • isn't ever

check out the custom front end

    looks choice

  • it's not custom it's the venom bumper they are quite easy to get

  • good looking au ute

  • looks like he was enjoying himself

  • Idiot this exact accident happened 28th nov 2008 just north of dubbo at 0912.

Young male in a blue holden comm ute heading south at high speed from gil overtaking in a manner dangerous. He came up behid a line of cars stopped for roadworks. He crashed head on into a 65 ton B double. The truckie turned the wheel just enough. The utes engine was 150m further down the road.Go on be a dickhead this shit does happen why temp fate!

Reduce the slaughter by a quarter

  • this video was also posted about a year before

  • Did the truck fall from the sky or teleport there using RTA? (Random Teleportation Ability)

  • hahahh i know huh! the autobahn shows when you speed you pay more attention and it can be safe.. ohh unless a random truck teleports infront of u. speeding ads r so ridiculous~

  • HAHAHAHAHA it did seem to magicly materialise didn't it maybe theres some star trek shit going on there

  • Who Gives A Hoot, My Tp Has been Track tested and topped out at 187.4kp/h in 5th down a 1/2 km Strech of Track, But hey it's got 4 wheels a motor and it Bloody goes who gives a s*** it's better then the Crappy VE common-whore

  • Dude, you drive a 90s magna that tops out at 187kmh, and your saying its better then a VE Commodore? Just cause a car is better and outsells mitsubishi's bombs on wheels no need to call it names, i thought some people were more mature...

  • This Ad was released the Year I got My L's (got my L's in December 04) Mum Has a 98 EL Falcon and Me a jolly 90 TP Magna and after watching the commercial again today I realised that the 2 cars are a magna and a falcon, Although I'm 6 months off from getting my full licence I have only been booked once (speeding 89 in a 80 zone) that was 18 months ago but despite how daft it may be it still sends the message accross to Drive Saftly

  • the pinkie waving is another aussie ad campaign about people who speed - basically saying that speeders have small dicks and are trying to compensate. there's a lot of truth to it. its on youtube. check it out. its called 'nobody thinks big of you'

  • *waves pinky at man in the commercial*

  • fail

  • Makes you think...

  • About how trucks should not be on the roads?

  • this is an awesome ad well done to all involved

  • Well done to the RTA, another unrealistic ad... Who drives that fast and doesnt look more than 6 meters in front of them? :P

The harder they try with these ads the more they're just saying the driver needs more concentration.

  • Drunk drivers, idiots that are racing, people who just naturally do it.

  • Cause he was taking a corrner at like 140km/h ... he didnt have time to stop and avoid the truck so he slammed on the braakes and swerved

  • ah im not putting the ad down at all, its very well done. But you know what, ive been a real idiot in the past and once saved myself from doing something similar after a passing lane doing 195km/h. 140km/h is not fast. My cars tires had 4 flat spots down to metal after.

  • im so happy that there are aussie youtubers.coz we aussies dont get our commercials beamed across the globe like the yanks and the brits.good work mate.

  • i like the "what happens to me now" in the Criminal Consequences ad which shows he recognises the implications of what he has caused. This is also shown by the use of body language and facial expressions which change from excitment and carelessness "tell it to somebody who cares", to his stumbling around the scene, kicking his ute and holding his head between his hands.

  • I like this advertisement

I'm using it for an essay in my final exams along with the other two for "journey"

i dont think its dumb, although the RTA might think of us as dumb, that of which im unsure...

but i think it demonstrates the consequences of careless driving farely well, with the responibility of the driver and his self awareness after the accident playing a major role on his development..

  • You better step back and see the mess that you left

Won't you tell it to somebody who cares

You better step back and see the mess that you left

Won't you tell it to somebody who cares

I'm stumblin' all the way 'cause its not such a beautiful...*CRASH*

  • rta should be spending money on fixing roads not ads

  • @S14AA that's the government's job, not the RTA

  • the ad doesn't make sense, which seems to be a common problem for RTA ads. The driver was looking ahead, and on a country road like the one depicted, he should have been able to see the truck from a mile away and slow down. If he didn't, then the ad should be about the dangers of driving while short-sighted, not 'speeding'. Sometimes I think the RTA thinks that we're really, really dumb.

  • @bnthnkn

The RTA is run by curry munchers, public transport worshiping arts students & feminists who think any male who owns a car V6 or above has a very small penis.

The RTA is a joke & a half of incompetency & has with the assistance of the 16 year Stalinist-ALP regime allowed our roads to be left to shit & spent all of the energy building the M7 & said "roads in NSW are fixed."

  • REV IT UPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • first time i saw this i thought they were advertising the car. up until the crash part that is

  • So did I.. And I was getting excited, 'casue it's Powderfinger... And then, well, yeah...

  • i think it's a bloody good ad as far as speeding ads go

  • Being from Victoria, I never got to see this ad on TV when it was aired in 2004. The song is rocking, but the ad is obviously put together on a shoe string budget, as you can see from the collision at the end.
