  • I have two plates on my two cars? I checked a box on the app for two plates???

  • you own a police car, yet you disrespect the police with the donut? Several inaccuracies in your restoration, but that is a nice cruiser

  • @5minmajor22 it is not my car you idiot.. Donuts are a well known police joke.. did you just crawl out from under a rock??

  • @XboobtubeX hahahahehehe good come back. Nice song, and how appropriate. LoL

  • @Kojack3686 thank you for watching

  • Why does everyone think the thing to do is have the low band whip antenna clipped to the gutter clip? The only purpose of this clip is use in low-ceiling parking garages.

  • How neat!

  • I knew this car when it was Carl's. It wouldnt take much to make that car correct. Incorrect rims and dishes, way too many lights... that car has got a ton of potential. It's very straight and the paint and bodywork was done right. Beautiful car.

  • Adam 12 didnt have a rotator...only solid reds in the front and no reds in the grill at all...man i loved that show....and it was old when i watched it

  • mint show! im 45 and i watched it in reruns in the 70s! i still watch it fatefull each day on cable 25. RETRO T.V. i never will get sick of it, its THE best classic t.v. out on air, you cant beat the older, wiser cop, with the young rookie, its a dam good program.

  • My mom was CHP when I was in high school (early 70's). Chips were all driving late 60's Dodge Polara's with 440 c.i. and BIG Holley 4-barrel carbs. 12 Bolt Dana Rear End and Torqueflight 727 tranny. They could go faster than you would ever dare to drive them. Around 140mph they wanted to fly... Good ole days!

  • jay leno has a '66 2 door hardtop with a hemi, outstanding car for the era be it a police or civilian model,ah the wonder days of yore!

  • Hmmmm... front plate is a Maryland state crest/flag and rear plate looks like.. Pennsylvania?

  • yes....In Pa there is no front plate required. So you can mount any thing there your heart desires

  • @TechnicalEvaluation - I saw the Maryland state crest and PA plate, too.

As a lifelong Pennsylvanian and a license plate collector since 1971, it's definitely a 2004-base "visitPA.com" base plate, and the car wears a PA 08-4, or April 2008, inspection sticker on the windshield. I'm surprised the car doesn't wear a PA "Antique Vehicle" plate, which requires no inspection.

To confirm what XboobtubeX responded, Pennsylvania last used front license plates in 1951.

  • I messed up - it's a September 2008 (08-9) inspection sticker.

What's odd about PA is that, by state law, only state police are allowed to use radar. PA sheriff's deputies (and the sheriffs themselves) have almost no powers, and they can't pull you over for traffic violations.

In PA, sheriff's deputies merely transport prisoners, serve court papers and the only time they can arrest is when they have a court-issued warrant.

  • @OldsVistaCruiser

That is absoluelty not true. In PA all deputies are Act 120 certified and that means they have full police powers. You are correct however, that only the PSP is authorized electronic speed timing devices which means radar, but municipal police and deputies can use ESP,VASCAR, stopwatch and other non-elecronic methods. Please don't make the mistake of thinking that deputies don't have full police powers-they do pursuant to Act 120-same as any other municipal police officer.

  • @OldsVistaCruiser Front plates are optional in PA, you can be issued one or two, your choice

  • @5minmajor22 - Not true. I'm a lifelong PA resident and have collected license plates for over 40 years. PA hasn't issued a front plate since 1951. The only front plates issued in PA are for state-owned cars (including state-owned universities) and press photographers.

  • This is an LASD car not LAPD. Adam 12 was a LAPD car. This one dosen't have the LAPD logo on it or the unique 5 digit shop ID number on the door.

  • Is that a 318 , or a 426 wedge?

  • is that a powercall siren or a federal

  • Very nice! Is it an actual police car or a clone? I noticed that it had an AM radio in the dash (most cop cars were radio-delete optioned in those days) and the dog dish hubcaps were 1980's era ('66 Dodge hub caps were more pan-shaped with a bit of a crown to them, probably with Dodge 3-point insignia).

    Anyway, it's a great car.

FYI: Adam-12 or Adam-4 or anything does not relate to the car number, only the patrol district. 1-Adam-12 denoted: Central Division, 2-man unit, district 12.

  • thats a good thing, then the fuzz can't catch you.

  • That's one sweet looking doughnut!

  • I knew food would get your attention.
