I'd love to see our pit enjoy a nice swim, but it will never happen. Our pit bull HATES water, worse than any cat we've had.
If she's outside and we want to water the garden, she wants to go inside the house, anywhere to get away from the water. She even hates to go outside if it's raining!
We've never mistreated, or teased, her with water so I don't understand why she hates water so much. She's been this way since we got her as a puppy.
lol what a goofy dog. how adorable he is. 1st time my pit tried to swim he sank like a rock & disappeared under water, came out sputtering. after we taught him how to swim he was a champ. you'd think dogs would swim naturally, right??
I threw Taji in the pool last summer to myhorror he had problems keeping his head above water and I had to jump in fully dressed to get him. He needs a jife jacket like that . i want to take him on the boat but I'm afraid to now.
Unfortunately Dino nor my boy Taji don't swim (ball of muscles) too good. I had to support Taji in the pool where did you get the flotation suit for Dino? great Idea.Does Dino dis embowel stuffed animals like my boy? They need supervision with toys for thier safty.
i have a dog just like deno, he hates baths but he has never gone swimming, he is 3 years & we will be going camping soon & i am gonna take my dog BOXER, i hope he loves it like your dog does & BTW does anyone know where to get a LIFE JACKET FOR DOGS IN TORONTO? btw love ur dog hes so beatiful :D
I have a question about pit bulls in general, for the most part, are they "water happy" dogs? Bcuz I would love to own one when I have a place of my own. However, I really want a dog I could swim with. So, are they? but even if they rnt, I still luv pits to pieces!
umm deno didnt like water until he was 1 year and halfs. Alot of them DO love the water, and they even do well in water sports like Dock Diving... It isnt uncommon to see pitties swimming in pools, lakes and beaches. But some wont like it at all. It took alot of coaxing to get deno to like it.
LOL. Loki is learning how to swim, too, so she's got one of those huge orange things on her. Hopefully this disgusting hot weather will last long enough for me to get some video of it. Bullydawgs are funny swimmers. :)

I have a pit mix and he LOVES swimming, he needed a life jacket the first time because he was unsure of the water, but now he jumps right in!
