This reminds me of Vacouver Canucks games where the fans cheer on the well liked goaltender, Roberto LUOngo by saying, "LOOOOOOO" The first time I heard it I thought they were booing someone, but then I found out a while later that they were in fact saying, "LOOOOOOOO"

So I can understand where the cheers for Bruce are coming from
