The film actually follows the "freaks" who then decide to get their own back on the pretty woman who constantly teases and makes fun of them. It's not as bad in a controversial way as people may think..

I knew someone who had a similar encounter at a festival. Unfortunately the dude was highly intoxicated and had an extremely shameful and unforgivable reaction. He punched her in the face. True story. He's never been able to live it down and it appears to be the source of his recurring nightmares. This world mostly consists of people who lack control and have some sort of empathy deficit disorder exacerbated by intoxicants.
