I always thought that the theme behind this movie was that because Molly's father hadn't really moved on from her mother's death that she wasn't able to, until Corrina came into the picture and pushed things in the right direction.

Because it shows just how young and vulnerable she is right now. She has no idea what is going on and all she wants is to just understand and see her mother again. It's hard to go through something like this when you are younger.

And Mr Singer told Corrina Molly Singer's mom is etheis and so am I. I don't want you telling Molly where she is at. And Corrina told Mr Singer yes Mr. Singer I'll tell Molly that her mom is in the Bathtub.That is really sad.
