the introspective melancholy of the piano adds an element of widtfulness and shameful irony to the lyrics not evident in the original song.

What I think Lil Wayne is trying to convey his frustration at his inability to form a meaningful relationship, his being licked like a lollipop; though initially pleasurable, is symbolic of his objectification.

This is very poignant. Lil Wayne is a wonderful artist truly in tune with human emotion.

I think that the songsmith version makes it sound sad and depressing, like the guy couldn't get any and he is expressing his lament that he is lonely while her boyfriend is worthless and he feels that he is such a good man for her. And then he fantasizes about what he wishes would happen.
