  • comodo and malwarebytes will demolish viruses

  • @MrNoobWarrior right... okay then

  • @SuperFuur Don't insult this guys reviews. DUH he has clients. He just left for three friggin hours tending to one.

  • lol "Hacker.com" That's like naming a virus virus.dll or something.

  • el problemas es que no todos los usuarios saben ocupar al 100 un antivirus no hay como un antivirus que te lo hago todo solo

  • Спасибо помогло

  • is this free?

  • @cooler401 Yha it is free

  • yeah i kis 2010 and i was running vmware and i went to a website on it and i got a message from kaspersky something like this a change was blocked to vmware.exe i'm like wow kis is awesome

  • theres a aware also know as a Trojan called Trojan vundo are something it just wont be removed because it multiples then spired like wildfire

  • For Prevention, Comodo w/Defense + is practically Unbeatable. The new version 4.0 w/Sandbox is Awesome. However, no version of Comodo has ever been great at detection and removal of a highly or even moderately infected PC. Inexcusable. Both in my own experience as well as Matt's reviews, Comodo's On-Demand performance is average or below. Matt's Adaware AE vid was based on Adaware cleaning up a machine Comodo has JUST cleaned. Adaware found 183 MORE threats. Unacceptable.

  • @Idolpurist But most of the stuff ad-aware found was adware and some small traces of rogues. And comodo's website says nowhere that they remove adware.

  • @Idolpurist And adware isn't usually that bad, anyway. Unless you're getting redirected.

  • how come it keeps trying to termate the svchost.exe in the firewall

  • @650038haig

it does it for me as well o_o

  • I heard that COMODO's anti-virus isn't that good. I mean I have CIS, but I haven't noticed a virus to speak of. I would go back to Avast, which is the best, but I'm sick of the registration which gets long in the tooth.

  • No if you get the new one it has the most powerful antiivirus with antispyware and now has a sandbox comodo is you best bet for antivirus and firewall

  • @banstaman COMODO's antivirus is one of the best around in my opinion. I've heard the same thing, but from personal experience, it's great. Every time I scan with COMODO, it ALWAYS finds malware that I didn't even know existed on my pc. So to say COMODO's antivirus is bad, would almost be wrong. Not to kick dirt on your opinion.

  • @MultiEggboy Don't get me wrong I have used it for a long time now, I just never compared it to any other AVs. Each full scan returns either one or no infection at all, but I'm not sure either if CIS-collectively has worked well or it's just not being detected.

  • CIS works fantastic....Thanks to Melih AbdulHayoglu, CEO of Comodo Group. Keep up the good work!!!

Oh!! I almost forgot........Nice Video, mrizos.

  • Is it slowing down the PC?

  • Comodo IS is really the best security suite on the market!it's true that it has many false positives detections but you can submit the file to their LAB and after 4,6 hours(maximum)the false positive is fixed! we really expect an awesome CIS 4 !

    Good luck COMODO ;) !

  • The free version for comodo internet security was the best i've had ever used so far, it still does false detection but you tell me, which av has 0% false detection? NONE. even my previous kaspersky and norton f,up sometimes that i gave up for freeware :P

  • SVINDLA HVISK!

  • lol

  • SVINDLA SMUGGLER!

  • WTF!?!

  • RETARD!

  • shut tha fuck up

  • shut tha fuck up ROLFCOPTER!

  • L.O.L Laugh All Night

    ROFLMAO

  • has so many fake detections when you set it from low to medium protection..really sick with so many fake alerts!

  • ur the best

  • is this better than eset smart security? I am wanting to know before i buy the internet security pro edition

  • Yea, it is better. I would consider this almost as good as zone alarm. Because, this is not a resource hog.

  • just use the free version!

  • very good and its free :P:P:P

  • isn't comodo free now??

  • there is paid and free verison

  • is this better than avast professional? windows firewall is good enough if u can b calm and try to take care of your pc, does it consumes alot in memory??

  • COMODO is awesome

  • WTF 32 mins?! o0*

    nice 5/5

  • malwarebytes pro + comodo free = pro protection

  • Yea. I got both of them.lol

  • Mcafee fucked up my pc i had to have someone move it as is would not delete of my pc i was recommend to use Avast as a good free anti virus do you think its any good

  • Hi. I've had Avast 4.8 Home for almost 20 months and it has Never let a single threat thru! It's fantastic. As for Mcafee, I jus got this new PC recently, and it had Mcafee on it and I uninstalled it easily. Mcafee USED to be HARD to get off a PC. Now it's supposed to be easy. Right Click it and try the Uninstaller. OR, go under "start", find Mcafee and right click on it there. You will have NO trouble with Avast Home. It protects you in so many ways. Good Luck.

  • COMODO(D+)+ Avira antivirus= Best security!!!

  • i have comodo but it keeps findng virus called heur or something help mee.

  • 32:45 min? Mrizos, how to?

  • i really appreciate your videos, they are helpful and informative.

  • it is a rogue. It's supposed to act like a firewall and you can only allow changes not block them. and it part of the zlob family

  • can I have Comodo Internet Security 3.8 with avira?

  • Comment removed

  • yeah i god the same question......i have Avira, CIS, Threafire, and Advanced System Care Pro. do any of these interfere with each other?

  • avira, CiS and threatfire are the same so they will conflict with eachother

  • are you sure? because i only got CIS firewall. i didn't get the whole package. and i read that threatfire boosts any antivirus program without conflicting with it. and Avira doesn't have a firewall.

  • hang on. U chose just comodo's firewall then u got threatfire (which is a behaviour blocker and an antivius) and then u got avira 9. threatfire and avira will conflict

  • well it hasnt warned me yet of any problems between them.. well isnt a computer much safer if it has a firewall other the windows firewall (comodo)? a spyware/malware blocker (threatfire), and an antivirus (avira)? im pretty sure that none of these programs do the same thing.

  • Avira is antivirus, CIS is firewall, threatfire is antimalware which u can use along side an av, advance systemcare pro well that just cleans ur pc and does a quick malware scan just dont do 2 or more scans at the same time.

  • so its fine to have all these programs right? im just making sure.

  • yep

  • im pretty sure you'r right. other dumber people were telling me that they would interfere.

  • if you put the detections/infections into the quarantine should i remove it from the quarantine area or just remove it as soon as the scan is over and if you remove it from quarantine is it the same as removing at after scan?

  • Great video, never thought I'd ever watch a 30 minute youtube video, but it was worth it.

  • How much RAM is used by CIS on this virtual machine?

Also, may you tell me the amount of Memory is used in this virtual box?

    Thanks :)

  • Well I can tell you how much RAM CIS uses, Less than 15MB.

    Avast used about 60-100

    Mcafee uses 100+

    Norton 2009 uses 12MB

    Avira uses 16MB at least.

Kaspersky internet security 2010 uses 9MB

PC tools internet security uses 30MB.

    Hope that helped!

I recommend: Kaspersky Internet security 2010.

  • how did u get that list?

  • I tested all those antivirus in virtualbox and added how much total RAM they used after a fresh reboot, putted it on notepad then tried another one (after uninstalling the one before)

  • hey matt you know how comodo has firewall does that mean you need to turn off your windows firewall in the sercuirty center??

    please comment me back/reply

Thanks! And Great vid i just got this Program!

  • Yea

  • i cleaned over 40000 virus on my aunt's computer there was tons of fakealert and it was locked up like hell she downloaded like 10000 song with limewire i got paid 300$ to remove 40000 virus =D

  • Holy shit couldn't;t she just have downloaded malwarebytes? It would have fucked em all But you gotta use SUPERantispyware and COMODO with it!

  • dont forget the Web Of Trust addon that mrizos reviewed a while back

  • does comodo have an anti-rootkit thing???

  • dude this fucked up. the suite makes me crazy. every thing is suspicious for this suite???

i have norton internet security and rdefender at mximum security. i have no viruses on my computer. i even used kapersky online scan. and i sacaned the the files that comodo detected as a malicious programs(it even said that there was a virus on hp aplication(its a hard disk where hp stored files to...its like a buckup of the initial n original of the files when you buy it)

    no virus found

    DZTT SUCK?

  • Defense+ kicks ass vs Fake av's and other crap. It blocked a trojan from traveling around my home network - Which SUPERantispyware (got the PRO on all my computers) Removed for me =). Pretty much: My security setup

    1.firefox

    2.web of trust

    3.COMODO Firewall

    4.Avira antivirus free

    5.SUPERantispyware PRO

    6. Malwarebytes anti-malware free

7.Advanced system care pro (Sucks when it comes to removing spyware though!)

    yea....

  • there is no way you need 3 lines of defense.. thats just overkill there probaly conflicting wirth eachother...

  • i just have firefox, web of trust and comodo. thats it (can any1 tell me if thats enuff or to little)

  • you really dont even need web of trust.. comodo can pretty much pick up anything..

  • add malware bytes antimalware and them you will be good always have an anti malware!!! also you don't have to pay for malwarebytes i don't recommend paying for it actually so if you use malwarebytes don't buy it

  • download malwarebytes + avira av free

    disable av engine in comodo.

  • I got Version 3.9 of Comodo Internet Security. Its pretty good. The only thing that worries me is how long it takes before they release an update.

  • I used this software all the time, and It's anti virus/ anti spyware works better then AVG 8.5, It detected 3 adware and AVG detected nothing.

  • comodo rules!!!!!

  • comdom internet security yeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • No, not at the time... but i just deleted as much as i can out of the programs folder.. then reinstalled the program. When i reinstalled it.. in the start menu it had a COMODO folder with an uninstall option.. but after going through all of that.. in the end i actually wanted to keep COMODO. Lawl

    TheRealPCHintsNTips

  • Please help me! i cant uninstall this program.. please help!

  • can you just use the defence + and firewall and use another anitvirus and spyware

  • yea during install it gives you options of installing firewall and antivirus. Just uncheck the antivirus.

  • So is SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, Comodo, and avast a good combo?

  • u shouldn't run Comodo & avast at the same time. Using 2 anti virus can have conflicts, just use Comodo & Malwarebytes. Also use Firefox.

  • he can only if he turns off the anti virus

  • avira av should replace avast.

  • Great video.

I've just started using Comodo so I found this video very helpful - especially as I haven't got round to reading the manual!

  • "-- it's a firewall, one of the best out there" That's not true.

I have had problems with some hacker or something.. when I used Comodo firewall I always got message "New network zone detected" or something like that. After a while I couldn't start any .exe files and I didn't have internet connection. I had to reformat.

The security settings in Comodo were set to very high.

Now I use Notron Internet security and I don't have any problems.

  • You do know there is a box which gives you the option for Comodo to not detect new networks. If you didn't spot it then you may of not configured it properly. If you do, I believe it becomes one of the best suites out there. However, its AV needs time to develop. In the mean time, I use CIS, AVira Antivir, Superantispyware and malwarebytes and a wide assortment of other tools that help me not access bad sites.

  • Ok, thanks for help. I'll try that some day.

  • how about a video of McAfee SiteAdvisor or the one in AVG

  • try control key when u are clicking items, it works for every program I've used

  • what happened to the 10 minute limit he use to have ?

  • I cant believe I send 30minutes + Watching this but I need a new Av :)

Thanks alot Mrizos ur the best

  • boring??? this is awsome so helpful!!

  • Plz review avg internet security 8.5 its the best...way better then 8.0 now it has AVG ID protection it also detects malware. plz Review it

  • cool Review

  • hey matt can u review an antivirus called paretalogic antivirus plus (if u know them, u know they make regcure)

  • As far as I know paretologic makes rogue products...

  • Thanks, always appreciated!

  • thanks!

  • thank you!

  • Good review, good image/sound.

You only forgot to go trough the program confugurations on the review as you did in your others reviews !

  • Thanks! Yeah, I forgot those.

  • thanks matt, actually i think avira free+comodo firewall would be a very good combination.I think, for using comodo firewall,u should be smart.

  • Excellent... thanks for taking the time putting these together.

Have you had any problems with conflicts with CCleaner or even iolo System Mechanic? I would love to hear your take on the new System Mechanic 8.5 that was recently released.

  • Nope, never heard of any conflicts yet. I've never tried System Mechanic but I'm pretty sure they are just using the Kaspersky engine.

  • Commod's Paid one scanner is a LOT better than the free one, I will say that..

  • Matt, why was the Defense+ in "Clean PC Mode"!? At 5:09 you said that the computer was clean, but it wasn't. I'm not saying that your review is flawed, but I think you would've gotten popups from D+ about malware trying to run (like File X.exe attempting to use Internet Explorer to connect, etc.) if D+ was in Safe/Paranoid Mode. It might've made the review go faster if you could just deny the D+ popups. Still, a good review.

  • Good suggestion, however it didn't make a difference. I tried that last night.

  • Wow just tried Comodo Internet Security and it rocks :P It's extreme light on system resources :D Eset Smart Security used around 285/1246 mb. Comodo uses 225/1246 mb :)

Even the scanning doesn't slow down the computer as much as other AV's I tried.

Also it asks questions about applications I run to make sure they are not malicious. I'm using it right now and I'm very positive so far :P

  • would you say this is better or worse than ESET SS??

    nice vid :D

  • I think the Defense+ module makes it more powerful than NOD32 against unknown viruses, or viruses it can't detect. You just search up the path where the infected file is located and add it to the blocked files list of Defense+. Now the malware can't run nor do any damage. Also a full system scan takes 12 minutes here lol.

  • To many false positives with Comodo! I've install, it scanned my PC and guess what..17 viruses found! LOL! I've uninstall it, install KIS and no viruses found! KIS is really the best!

bitdefender and norton also have a big rate of false positives and when you think that those are not really too customizable your trusted apps will disappear by magic! :(

  • OMFG Look at 02:19 in the bottom right hand corner.....now that's some serious virus issues!

I know that u do this on purpose, but I've never seen that many on ur test PC b4!!

  • you might think i'm stupid.. but what is a rootkit?

  • Rootkit is basically a virus which is hidden from most antivirus programs. The best way to remove of these are HIPS (Behaviour Based Antivirus).

Great review mrizos, switched to this from NOD32, so much better!

  • Comment removed

  • not a stupid question..

  • I have a question.

Mac claimed that they do not have virus/malwares on their system, is that true?

If it is, then why dont we just switch to mac to prevent all this problems at once?

  • that question is really hard to answer since macs are not DOS based system they're Unix based, what this means is that the amount of viruses compared to a windows system is nearly nonexistent but no OS is 100% safe but a mac will rarely get a virus. dunno if this really answers your question but hope it helps

  • I'm been a Mac owner for 3 years now, and currently use Leopard. Macs don't get viruses but, they can get trojans. There are a handful of trojans for OS X but, it's nothing compared to all the malware on Windows. I run Norton AV on my Mac, mainly to prevent me from spreading Windows malware to my family/friends.

  • If macs ever become as popular as pc's you will see more viruses. The world is completely dominated by Microsoft, so they do not waste their time targeting macs. Seeing as apple only comprises a very small percentage of the world's computers they infect more people by infecting PC owners. I have own several of both, and it is not a quality issue. The only big problem I have with macs is they are way overpriced, they are not worth what you pay for them by any standard.

  • do not switch to mac becoz >80% usefully software paid/free is exclusive for window only unless u only want to sever net or download some basic software...

  • Man! after watched all your Review I want to download everything...

  • I feel the same way when I test some stuff.

  • The Quarantine provides a safe location on your computer where items can be isolated while you decide what action you want to take on them. Basically trapping suspicious virus/malware into somewhere safe so that u can delete/add to ijnore list/sent for analysis...

  • if i get this do i need, super antispyware, malwarebytes and avira from the last video?

  • u still need super antispyware, malwarebytes but avira is optional if u've this CIS & btw, u also need spywareblaster to block all the tracking cookies & sites since IE/FF never give u a block list although they got blocking feature...

  • ie= internet explore

    ff= fire fox.

    right?

  • right & becareful of the fake one...

  • Correct.

  • yup

  • Well, I would keep Super Antispyware and Malwarebytes for the extra protection. Avira however, must be removed because it's a antivirus. CIS already has a built-in antivirus.

  • is that a real comp?

  • That's an Virtual Machine

  • hot do you reboot please to a video

  • great review matt!

looks like comodo is a awesome product!

    5/5

  • thanks man!

  • Even though it has potential, comparison with other security products isn't exactly 1:1.

Because what you do here is blocking files that were not detected at all to a DENY list.

I'm not going to say that's not fair but it's not comparable either. You know what you're doing, someone else will just block real svchost.exe and logonui.exe and simply kill their Windows in the process.

Because CIS detection itself is not all that hot yet either...

  • True, you do have to know what you're doing with Defense+

  • i have 20...LOL

  • Lord6Blackheart - he has become a partner, so he can have long vidoes.

a partner can have adds on vidoes, long vidoes, and other things...and u have to aply to it, and they will choose to accept it of deny it depending on how popular ur channel is.

  • LOL great review...even though it was long :D

im surprised that this is a very good FREE program, with antivirus and firewall.

And also when programs were blocked by defence plus, are they removed in the scan, or are there still in the system, but just blocked???

  • they are still on the system until I remove them by clicking delete file.

  • hihi 33 minutes!! cool..cup o coffee-sundaymoanin' &the comodomovie..ride on ; )

  • Sweet :P

  • yet another great review :) and tbh i think this one long video beats several parts and i think a key to this kinda job it patience!!!!

  • thanks man.

  • This looks good but there must be a catch

why would they give it away for free?

  • you're very right!!

  • yes i am LOL

  • The only catch is no support from COMODO on their free product, I think.

  • Nope. You can get all the support that you need..

  • They sell a lot of other services.

  • ah i was wondering how they could just give away it for free

  • its call maketing(to make their product more popular) or no one will test/trust their product...
