Yep. I also found that the particular cheat involved would freeze the game if enacted before the fight begins--that's why you see Lucca and Marle at first.

I always wondered why Geyser wasn't part of his Techs when you recruit Magus. I know Lavos drained him of his powers, that's why you have to acquire Dark Bomb, Magic Wall, Black Hole, Dark Mist, and Dark Matter too, but what about Geyser?

I've wondered the same. Geyser looks like it utilizes the "darkfire" in Magus' lair; maybe he can't normally cast it because he doesn't normally have that fuel source.

That's likely correct, also loses his barrier change magic because of The Masamune - it's why he asks what did they do to the Masamune (oh just go back in time and get the original power source from it!) since he knows coming from the past that the Masamune wouldn't have much power left in 600 AD.

Sure!

1. Open any savestate with Magus in character slot 1. Go to Truce 1000 AD.

2. Enter this PAR code, which resets game events: 7F000089

3. Enter the Truce Market, then enter these codes: C0102CDA, C09B47FF

4. Walk around in circles for a bit. You'll eventually appear in a wall in Magus' Castle. Walk thru the wall to an exit at the left. Enter it, then turn the codes from (3) off.

5. Get to Magus. When you see the line "Frog: MAGUS!!", enter these codes: 7E2981EE, 7E2982EE.
