I agree completely. I've only heard a handful of recordings of this piece, but so far, this is the best. Like Sokolov's rendition of the 7th Sonata 3rd mvmt, this tempo is not break-neck, which gives you a chance to actually HEAR the music instead of just feeling a gust of wind.

@foonyah It's a good recording of a very difficult piece, but I really don't think it's the best. She makes obvious errors, especially at the about 3:39 near the end, and she doesn't play as fast as some others. Before I absorb dozens of flames I would like to once again reiterate that this is a good recording of a very difficult piece.
