@sopdogg is all the problems you stated in this vid will never get fixed?is it the problems existed just when you upgraded the android???for the original setting, its work properly isnt it?or even we upgrade it to 2.0,which from the official sony ercsson website, the probs will never show up,right?answer please...i'm just thinkg to but x10
@syifaqnazeri The problems for the most part have been fixed. Check the XDA Developers board for a bit more answers. I haven't used this rom in awhile.
@BlackOpsAFG Stable enough for everyday use now but still has a few issues that need to be worked out. HD recording is still not available and some apps are not showing in the marketplace. I have tested version 30 (w/o video recording) and it is stable as a rock. V42 is out but I have yet to test it.
@Wildcaty1 It's called the Ambienttime livewall paper by Sony Ericsson. For some reason it was only released in Japan. I will send you the link in a bit.
@htfc4lyftom How is it fake? The developer just switched homescreens for this release. In the next release he brought back the stock launcher. Then the developer moved onto CyanogenMod 7 where ADW is stock. I think he was just trying to get ready for the AOSP to CM7 transition.
@htfc4lyftom Also, the Xperia X10 is being added to the official CyanogenMod 7 supported devices. It's already been added to CM7 Githubs. Now that we got the bootloader unlocked it will be just a matter of time before it's recognized.
@sirlot88 If you want Gingerbread, install PC Companion and connect your phone for an update. If there is none you can check out my latest video and it will show you how to get it.
@orer6 Are you talking about the full version of Gingerbread or the full version of CyanogenMod 7? CM7 is a work in progress and there are many custom roms out there. Now for the Sony Ericsson version of Gingerbread? It is out now. I have a tutorial on how to update the X10 if you can't do it through PC Companion.
Anybody can tell me why do we need to update to 2.3? Sorry i just bought this phone, i do not clear what is it, but i see the notification need me to update to android 2.3.
I cannot access to google account on my xperia x10, anybody can help me to solve it? thank you b4 hand.
Thank you for the info. but i see in the web that if i update the new version, i will lost some program, homscreen operator will no longer supported, so i just want to make sure that after updating, my phone will still work properly or not. Yes, you're right, my phone is now on 2.1

@ssengkky In my opinion is that if you are having issues with your current firmware, flash to the newest version. It will work. Connect your phone via PC Companion to see if the new update is available for you. If it is, you will still have carrier support. For the google issues, try connecting via wifi to check to see if that works. Do you have data enabled on your phone too? Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>check Data Enabled.
@kingandreas9 When I shot the Video no. It was still on 2.1. I won one in a contest so I was using one as a play phone. I have the official gingerbread build on both of my X10s now. You should check PC Companion to see if the Gingerbread update is available to you. Otherwise, check out my latest video, it will show you how to install it. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@madvillepocket10 Hi, I will try to do a tutorial when I have a bit more time. I have a few exams and a wedding to prepare for but I will try to get a new video up soon. More than likely it will be a video on how to upgrade to the official Gingerbread by Sony Ericsson. Stay tuned for that if you are interested.
awsome dude...sorry to bug but i installed 91pandahome2 to my xperiax10 and i want the settings how they were when i first installed it. is there anyway to reset it? because i deleted some apps by accident...the ones that give you the choice to give ur apps another frame color and the option on how your apps move from one page to the other. if you can help that would literally make my day. thanks :)
@CHARMZ661 My first bet would be to go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>91Pandahome2 and clear defaults. It will probably start up fresh like you never did anything to it. If that doesn't work, just uninstall the app and reinstall.
@sopdogg youre welcome! it would be awsome if you made video tutorials on how to install updates step by step since youre really good at explaining and showing how well the xperia works.
@CHARMZ661 Definitely will do tutorials when the new gingerbread update drops. It won't be coming to the States any time soon (unless you have a unbranded/unlocked phone) so I will show everyone how to install it. Rumors are that the gingerbread update will start this weekend or next week. Stay tuned!
@kajain007 The link in the description will help you get there. I will do a tutorial once the official build comes out. It's just around the corner. Rumors are this weekend but at the earliest the beginning of August.
@UntiltedGamer916 Nice. I didn't know it was going to be out on Virgin. Pretty cool, but I thought Virgin was a CDMA company. I heard that the Play was possibly going to be on Virgin soon. What do you think of the Moto Triumph that came out the other day? Very similar to the X10.
@sopdogg that is a really nice phone similar to evo 4g with a bigger screen but its kinda to much it like HUGE. i personaly think this phone its AWESome for 2010 they should make a pro version what do you think. By the way on a scale of one to ten what is the x10i
@UntiltedGamer916 I would love to have a pro version of the Xperia X10. I had an X1 before this and it was hard to transition from a keyboard to a touch screen only device. IMO the X10 is very hard to rate. Features like 8mpxl camera, 720p recording, form factor & style would make it a 8.5. However, there are a lot of issues like lag, lack of updates & locked bootloader that are huge drawbacks. Hopefully Gingerbread will fix these issues but overall as it stands it would be a 7. Good not great.
@UntiltedGamer916 No, I want to continue to be on AT&T. I'm getting a good deal with a family plan with them. On the other hand, my roommate will be getting it soon. He wants the price to go lower before he takes the plunge.
@UntiltedGamer916 Yes I have. Pretty nice looking phone. I can already get the Xperia Arc for around that much but I am going to hold out on this generation of smartphones. By September when Apple announces and or starts selling their iPhone 5, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and many others will announce their new batch of goodies with quad core processors and Ice Cream Sandwich to boot. It's so hard to wait though. I always have upgrade fever.
@taurusxaries Hey there. There is a user by the name of Lion3494 that shows a lot of video gameplay on gingerbread if you haven't updated your phone yourself yet.
@Lucian5800 Exactly! That's what I recommended when the rom was released about 5 months ago. Today, almost all issues have been resolved. The camera shoots photos and records video in vga resolution using photoillusion. Unfortunately the camera issue won't be completely fixed until Sony Ericsson releases it's sources for the camera with the new Gingerbread update update coming soon. Can't wait for that to happen!
@grakevil1diala Yes it can. The newest 2.1 firmware also allows you to do this. My suggestion is to install the latest firmware on your device then flash to 2.2. If you want to wait, Gingerbread will be available soon. Let me know if you have any other questions.
ohh! and also if theres an application that allows me to use my finger to write notes and/or has a widget too...u know like how we use a digital pen to write notes in a PDA...any suggestions plzz
ok so i was just wondering how or through which android application (for 2.1 and 2.2) can i view all my files and folders in the similar way as in windows operating system...exaple: i have this folder full od different document files and when i put the folder in my android i cant view them in the same folder like how we view a folder nd then open it and view all the files in the folder in a windows...any suggested applications plzz ^_^
@ashtwoface I like using Astro for a file manager. As for PDA/Note writer, I am not sure. If you find a good one let me know. Sorry I wasn't too much help!
@LanXangLaoSThaBrave Not sure when 2.4 is even coming out. Rumors were that 2.4 was the same as 2.3. I don't know if Ice Cream Sandwich has been given version numbers yet. There are plenty of iterations of 2.3 already. I think there have been 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.3.2, 2.3.3 and the latest of course 2.3.4 with google talk/video chat functionality. Also, there have been plenty of betas out there that developers have been trying to port over to the X10. Hope this helps.
@themysteryman36 Hi there, easiest way to switch basebands is to flash them via flash tool. Youtube doesn't allow links in replies so I am sending you a message with a link.
@sopdogg i download it and extract it. and then i use xrecovery cleanup davik cache, battery stats, full wipe all stuff. after tat i install tat zip file.
@Nicholas911 What baseband are you on? Go to settings>about phone and look near the bottom. You need to be on baseband 2.0.52 in order for the rom to work. There is a baseband folder included within the .rar file. Use the x10flasher included in that to flash your baseband and then all should work.
@Nicholas911 Yo. Flash Baseband .52 in the folder that is the .rar file. Don't download version j005 as it is unstable. Version j004 of RC1 is pretty damn good. If you want to stay on baseband .54, try WB's TW007 Rom. It's froyo but it will work for you. Not too much of a difference between GB and Froyo for the X10.
@Nicholas911 You can find it on XDA Developers. The link in the description is a hint to where you can find it. TW007 is a highly customized Froyo rom with excellent battery life and optimization.
@blackadder1996 Word. Dual touch is better than single! I agree multi touch would be much better but due to limitations of the X10 that's all we can have.
@Jigsjigz SE announced the Gingerbread update for the X10 on March 25th. I feel your pain though. You can definitely sell it but there aren't very many phones out there with Gingerbread yet. But definitely up to you. Galaxy S II looks might fine!
@Jigsjigz Nice. You must have really good sources! Any new news I should know about? SE officially announced GB for the X10 in March when most people gave up on even getting Froyo. That's why there had been so much demand for getting custom roms on the X10. The wait for GB is almost over, let's hope that SE doesn't delay the update the way they delayed Eclair. What phone were/are you thinking about upgrading to?
@sopdogg i believe it was from SonyE on here! on there dev webpage it showed how they added dual touch but it wasent quite working properly. i was just thinking to go HTC desire or maybe if i can afford a new xperia ark (would really like the new mini pro as i like keys for touch typing)
@curtisjones123 It's a live wallpaper by Sony Ericsson called ambienttime live wallpaper. You can get it on the Docomo android market. If you are not on Docomo, to get it, you have to be rooted, download market enabler, open app, backup your default sim value, set custom value to 44010, search for the wallpaper, download and apply. Restore to your default sim value when you are done. Enjoy!
@mohdmistry It does void your warranty. However, if you flash back to stock 2.1 will anyone be able to tell if you ever flashed another rom? Nope. In the end it's a maybe, all depends on how ethical you are! If your phone is branded you will probably never see 2.3. Update is for unlocked/unbranded X10s. If so, flash away. Just make sure you can find your original carrier's rom to flash back for warranty reasons. I don't think SE will release the update until August. They suck with deadlines!
@sopdogg thats great if i can turn it back to original 2.1, is it available for download anywhere? and i really like gingerbread and how it looks "never used it".
@sopdogg I hope it is released for branded handsets too, SE have a terrible track record with updates on the X10 and I would like to think they learnt lessons and will update for all customers, if they dont they will lose a lot of buisness thats for sure. I'm due an upgrade soon but still id like to see gingerbread on the X10 and despite what some say I think its a good phone, just a shame SE aren't utilizing its true potential.
@shinzomoon I really hope so too. But if they don't there will be ways to get it. Just takes a bit of time and Gingerbread can be had. Hopefully the update comes soon so that the custom roms will be even better. What are you thinking about upgrading to?
@sopdogg Yeah I dont think I would go with a custom rom seems too much hassle for me, but im sure it isnt that difficult, we'll see. As for the upgrade I'm not sure, I have grew quite fond of Android and im anti apple, I thought about trying out a windows phone but I dont know how they would be in comparrisson with an Android so I will have to do a little more research, when I said soon its really a couple more months away lol so plenty of time.
@Yagamirich123 Hay una enlace en el descripcion. Todos los necesitas es en XDA developers. Puedes usar google translate para traducirlo. Primero root tu telephono, despues instalas Xrecovery, discargas el rom y lo pone en tarjeta de SD. Tambien, necesitas cambiar tu baseband a .52. Hay muchas cosas necesitas hacer pero es muy bueno. Yo recomiendo el ARC rom de TripNRaVer porque es muy estable. Ahorita los Gingerbread roms no tienen camera pero todo funciona en los roms de froyo.
HELLO FRIEND, BUT I HAVE THE XPERIA X10 ANDROID HAVE THE 2.1 AND THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH EL3G WHEN I CONNECT THE PHONE AFTER THE TIME TO RESTART AND WANTED TO KNOW IF THIS IS NORMAL OR IS FOR THE SOFTWARE, I wonder if upgrading to NEW FroYo 2.2 or 2.3 ME NOT HAPPEN THIS PROBLEM.
@frederickfranklis123 Sorry, I don't quite understand the question. Maybe you can message me in Spanish and I will translate it. Me Envias una mensaje en espanol. Despues, puedo traducir lo. Yo puedo leer en espanol un poco y tambien puedo usar google tranlate.
@Gagawoolalahah 2.3 isn't officially out yet. If you want to taste gingerbread, hit up the link in the description. It will tell you how to do it. You have to root your phone, install xrecovery and flash baseband .52 if you are not on it. There is a chance you may "brick" your phone, but the phone is basically unbricakable because you can repair it through PC Companion.
@mtumnene I wish I knew my friend. SE stated late Q2 or Q3. So earliest maybe in late July/August. Knowing SE, that might mean Winter or even 2012 as they failed repeatedly to make 2.1 timeframes. Hopefully they pull through this time!
@SonyDroid Yessir! If your phone is debranded, you can just connect your phone to PC companion and update your phone to the latest firmware which will include dual touch in it. If you are on AT&T, you might never see 2.1 or even the newly announced 2.3 update. so you will have to debrand it via methods found on XDA-Developers.
@sopdogg Yay thanks for answering this for me! Hate to say it though but I'm only a kid soo.. I'm not that good with tech I mean I am but not on phones that much right now I'm just using open home 6 htc sense theme. My mobile device is branded by AT&T though...I do want to know how to debrand it cause then that will make me one happy boy. lol
i got another problem that my bluetooth and wifi does not working any more, it always says ''unable to start wifi'' the same with buetooth, please help me. thank you very muoch.
@kabkilo Hey there. They both should be working in this ROM. Never tried using them both at the same time so I don't know how to fix it. What version are you on now? The newest version (14) will probably be out in a few days, maybe a fresh install will help. Sorry I ccouldn't be of much help.
@sopdogg i have a sony ericsson x10i, firmware version 2.1, aseband version 2.1.54. kernel version 2.6.29 SEMCUser@SEMCHost # 1 and build number is 2.1.A.0.435.
@kabkilo There lies the problem my friend. In order to get Gingerbread/CM7.0 to work on the X10 you have to be on baseband .52. There should be a guide on XDA on how to change it. V14 is coming out in a day or so, so you can always hold off and play with a Froyo based rom that is compatible with your baseband. Hope that helps!
@ruperroy1 Gingerbread and Froyo will improve the efficiency of your phone allowing it to get better scores in quadrant. The newest version of the Rom will be overclocked to 1.1ghz, it is not out yet though.
i read that the new gingerbread was coming only to some carriers? some posts on this. what does this mean? I'm from Canada, and got the phone from Rogers mobile. I don't understand the carrier technicalities. Will i get the update?
I am using 2.1 update 1 on my SE X10.. The official blog is saying that they are going to release 2.3.3 ... How you got the black screen in GUI ?? On the blog they are showing blue screen in GUI.. I am new to android .. Can I get such features which you are showing in video by updating ?? ... Or it is available only for Custom ROM ??
@mrprockworld It's actually a live wallpaper by Sony Ericsson that I'm using on the phone. It's called ambienttime live wallpaper. You don't have to update to get the wallpaper. You can get it on the Docomo android market. If you are not on Docomo, to get it, you have to be rooted, download market enabler, open app, backup your default sim value, set custom value to 44010, search for the wallpaper, download and apply. Restore to your default sim value when you are done.
@SmallCrak If you don't have the X10 don't buy it yet! You don't want to be locked into a two year contract when Arc is coming out (already out in some places) with a better camera & bigger screen and will already be on Gingerbread. Wait until it's cheaper! The official SE X10 gingerbread will not be available until the Summer time. But this is a "proper" gingerbread build but not by SE. It's actually 2.3.1 though. I made another video that you should check out showcasing 2.3.3 & Cyanogenmod.
@sopdogg thanks... yeh i watched yur vids. really helpful :) so all these 'gingerbread' are done by other diff companies......is that illegel ? and also if i wanted the verion 2.3.3 & Cyanogenmod...will i have to completly get rid of all the original SE stuff ?? thanks
@sopdogg helo again. :) i wathced yur vid ..2.3.3 & Cyanogenmod. and i really like it :) i would like to have it on my x 10 if i get it tht is.. so do i need to get rid of the originl SE stuff on the phone then install 2.3.3 & Cyanogenmod. ?? ...if possible can you make a video showing how to get other OS for the x10 by other developers coz that would be really helpful! :)
i would wait for the official gingerbread from sony ericsson instead of doing this i would just download adw launcher and use that for now, its almost the same thing as in looks, i actually have the honeycomb theme on my xperia x10 using adw launcher. soo yeahh i would wait lol
@RyanDG1992 Yeah, you can always wait, no problem with that at all. However, summer is a very long time! I'm hoping that the developers can iron out all the bugs so we can have it before then. When the official SE gingerbread drops then even more customization will begin!
@shivirocks20000 For my usage, it has been better than 2.1 by about a few hours. Normally on 2.1, I get about 12-16 hours on non standby time. For Gingerbread it has been around 13-18 hours. All depends on your own usage though.
@LGBONNIE Very good news coming from SE! However, it doesn't come out until Late Q2 or early Q3. What does that mean? Knowing SE, it will probably be delayed. By that time, we will already have custom Rom with all the goodies before they release it. If SE were to release it, let's say next month...BOOM...more excitement and craziness would ensue.
@kabkilo You are not alone if you have this problem. You can actually see in the 5:36 mark of this video that I try using the camera and it doesn't work. The developer has not implemented the camera functionality of this Rom yet. Supposedly in the latest version, there is a camera image but it's not capable of taking a picture yet. So progress is being made but no capture yet. Try froyo beta 4 if you want a functioning camera. There is also a camcorder fix that is now available too for it.
@swttrinni If you want to install the CM7.0/Gingerbread, you will have to flash the baseband file first. Run that and then update. Should work fine. Phone works but cameras and streaming video do not. Vers. 8a is pretty stable otherwise.
@kiranjith The link is actually in the description. It's up to CM version 7.0 now. It's still a work in progress as many people including myself have been getting the white light of death that causes a constant reboot with certain applications. Jerpelea has pinpointed a possible fix with the WLOD however the camera and video streaming is still being fixed. Almost there though!
@kiranjith I wish I knew how to develop as well but all credits go to Jerpelea and XDA-Developers. You can actually find out more about Gingerbread (Now Cyanogen Mod 7.0) in the description area. Definitely awesome and what you can find on the XDA site will help you out immensely. The link is in the description.

@ssengkky You are currently on 2.1 correct? Kind of slow right? Here are my reasons to upgrade:
Increases the efficiencies of your phone - Faster = Better
APPS2SD solves low on Memory Issues - Transfer Memory on phone to SD
Tethering Features - Have a laptop and want to you use your cell data as a hotspot
FlashPlayer - can download and use Adobe Flash
Staying current with all available apps in the Marketplace.
What's going on with your google account? Should have no issues connecting.

@UntiltedGamer916 Nice. I didn't know it was going to be out on Virgin. Pretty cool, but I thought Virgin was a CDMA company. I heard that the Play was possibly going to be on Virgin soon. What do you think of the Moto Triumph that came out the other day? Very similar to the X10.
sopdogg 7 months ago
@sopdogg that is a really nice phone similar to evo 4g with a bigger screen but its kinda to much it like HUGE. i personaly think this phone its AWESome for 2010 they should make a pro version what do you think. By the way on a scale of one to ten what is the x10i
UntiltedGamer916 7 months ago
@UntiltedGamer916 I would love to have a pro version of the Xperia X10. I had an X1 before this and it was hard to transition from a keyboard to a touch screen only device. IMO the X10 is very hard to rate. Features like 8mpxl camera, 720p recording, form factor & style would make it a 8.5. However, there are a lot of issues like lag, lack of updates & locked bootloader that are huge drawbacks. Hopefully Gingerbread will fix these issues but overall as it stands it would be a 7. Good not great.
sopdogg 7 months ago
@sopdogg Are you going to buy the Motorola Triumph ?
UntiltedGamer916 7 months ago
@UntiltedGamer916 No, I want to continue to be on AT&T. I'm getting a good deal with a family plan with them. On the other hand, my roommate will be getting it soon. He wants the price to go lower before he takes the plunge.

@sopdogg Have you heard of the huawei glory its an amazing phone from wha tthe specs say for the company criket and if you have the time search it up
UntiltedGamer916 7 months ago
@UntiltedGamer916 Yes I have. Pretty nice looking phone. I can already get the Xperia Arc for around that much but I am going to hold out on this generation of smartphones. By September when Apple announces and or starts selling their iPhone 5, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and many others will announce their new batch of goodies with quad core processors and Ice Cream Sandwich to boot. It's so hard to wait though. I always have upgrade fever.

Lucian5800 7 months ago
@Lucian5800 Exactly! That's what I recommended when the rom was released about 5 months ago. Today, almost all issues have been resolved. The camera shoots photos and records video in vga resolution using photoillusion. Unfortunately the camera issue won't be completely fixed until Sony Ericsson releases it's sources for the camera with the new Gingerbread update update coming soon. Can't wait for that to happen!

@grakevil1diala Yessir. It's actually only dual touch though.
sopdogg 7 months ago
@sopdogg but it could be used on the pictures to zoom?
grakevil1diala 7 months ago
@grakevil1diala Yes it can. The newest 2.1 firmware also allows you to do this. My suggestion is to install the latest firmware on your device then flash to 2.2. If you want to wait, Gingerbread will be available soon. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@sopdogg Oops, I meant to say 2.2 or above. The official Gingerbread firmware will be available soon...

And Iam Comfeized...How many 2.3 Are their O-o?
And Do i need a Memory Card for this?
LanXangLaoSThaBrave 8 months ago
@LanXangLaoSThaBrave Not sure when 2.4 is even coming out. Rumors were that 2.4 was the same as 2.3. I don't know if Ice Cream Sandwich has been given version numbers yet. There are plenty of iterations of 2.3 already. I think there have been 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.3.2, 2.3.3 and the latest of course 2.3.4 with google talk/video chat functionality. Also, there have been plenty of betas out there that developers have been trying to port over to the X10. Hope this helps.

Nicholas911 9 months ago
@Nicholas911 Rar file because the necessary baseband files are included. Unrar it and you should see an update zip as well.
sopdogg 9 months ago
@sopdogg how come i cannot install it successfully?
Nicholas911 8 months ago
@Nicholas911 Let me know how you are trying to install it.
sopdogg 8 months ago
@sopdogg i download it and extract it. and then i use xrecovery cleanup davik cache, battery stats, full wipe all stuff. after tat i install tat zip file.
Nicholas911 8 months ago
@Nicholas911 What baseband are you on? Go to settings>about phone and look near the bottom. You need to be on baseband 2.0.52 in order for the rom to work. There is a baseband folder included within the .rar file. Use the x10flasher included in that to flash your baseband and then all should work.
sopdogg 8 months ago
@sopdogg mine is 2.1.54
Nicholas911 8 months ago
@Nicholas911 Yo. Flash Baseband .52 in the folder that is the .rar file. Don't download version j005 as it is unstable. Version j004 of RC1 is pretty damn good. If you want to stay on baseband .54, try WB's TW007 Rom. It's froyo but it will work for you. Not too much of a difference between GB and Froyo for the X10.
Good Luck!
sopdogg 8 months ago
@sopdogg where can find TW007 Rom?what it means?
Nicholas911 8 months ago
@Nicholas911 You can find it on XDA Developers. The link in the description is a hint to where you can find it. TW007 is a highly customized Froyo rom with excellent battery life and optimization.

Jigsjigz 9 months ago
@Jigsjigz Should be the end of June. So coming shortly!
sopdogg 9 months ago
@sopdogg ARGH!!! WTF its been over 6months since they announced it... i might aswell sell it and get a better 1.
Jigsjigz 9 months ago
@Jigsjigz SE announced the Gingerbread update for the X10 on March 25th. I feel your pain though. You can definitely sell it but there aren't very many phones out there with Gingerbread yet. But definitely up to you. Galaxy S II looks might fine!
sopdogg 9 months ago
@sopdogg no way i heard about the update back last year in October 2010! been waiting ever since.
Jigsjigz 9 months ago
@Jigsjigz Nice. You must have really good sources! Any new news I should know about? SE officially announced GB for the X10 in March when most people gave up on even getting Froyo. That's why there had been so much demand for getting custom roms on the X10. The wait for GB is almost over, let's hope that SE doesn't delay the update the way they delayed Eclair. What phone were/are you thinking about upgrading to?
sopdogg 9 months ago
@sopdogg i believe it was from SonyE on here! on there dev webpage it showed how they added dual touch but it wasent quite working properly. i was just thinking to go HTC desire or maybe if i can afford a new xperia ark (would really like the new mini pro as i like keys for touch typing)
Jigsjigz 9 months ago
weird question. What wallpaper are you using?
curtisjones123 9 months ago
@curtisjones123 It's a live wallpaper by Sony Ericsson called ambienttime live wallpaper. You can get it on the Docomo android market. If you are not on Docomo, to get it, you have to be rooted, download market enabler, open app, backup your default sim value, set custom value to 44010, search for the wallpaper, download and apply. Restore to your default sim value when you are done. Enjoy!

@sopdogg Thanks!!

hey there i have 2.1 on my x10, im thinkin of gettin 2.3 by xda, or should i wait for SE , they say june or july will realease 2.3 for x10.
and if i install 2.3 from xda, will my warrenty will be void?
mohdmistry 9 months ago
@mohdmistry It does void your warranty. However, if you flash back to stock 2.1 will anyone be able to tell if you ever flashed another rom? Nope. In the end it's a maybe, all depends on how ethical you are! If your phone is branded you will probably never see 2.3. Update is for unlocked/unbranded X10s. If so, flash away. Just make sure you can find your original carrier's rom to flash back for warranty reasons. I don't think SE will release the update until August. They suck with deadlines!
sopdogg 9 months ago
@sopdogg thats great if i can turn it back to original 2.1, is it available for download anywhere? and i really like gingerbread and how it looks "never used it".
mohdmistry 9 months ago
@mohdmistry Just look for it on XDA Developers' SE X10 Forum. Should be somewhere. Good Luck!
sopdogg 9 months ago
@sopdogg I hope it is released for branded handsets too, SE have a terrible track record with updates on the X10 and I would like to think they learnt lessons and will update for all customers, if they dont they will lose a lot of buisness thats for sure. I'm due an upgrade soon but still id like to see gingerbread on the X10 and despite what some say I think its a good phone, just a shame SE aren't utilizing its true potential.
shinzomoon 9 months ago
@shinzomoon I really hope so too. But if they don't there will be ways to get it. Just takes a bit of time and Gingerbread can be had. Hopefully the update comes soon so that the custom roms will be even better. What are you thinking about upgrading to?
sopdogg 9 months ago
@sopdogg Yeah I dont think I would go with a custom rom seems too much hassle for me, but im sure it isnt that difficult, we'll see. As for the upgrade I'm not sure, I have grew quite fond of Android and im anti apple, I thought about trying out a windows phone but I dont know how they would be in comparrisson with an Android so I will have to do a little more research, when I said soon its really a couple more months away lol so plenty of time.
shinzomoon 9 months ago
hola, pero como lo instalo a mi x10?
Yagamirich123 9 months ago
@Yagamirich123 Hay una enlace en el descripcion. Todos los necesitas es en XDA developers. Puedes usar google translate para traducirlo. Primero root tu telephono, despues instalas Xrecovery, discargas el rom y lo pone en tarjeta de SD. Tambien, necesitas cambiar tu baseband a .52. Hay muchas cosas necesitas hacer pero es muy bueno. Yo recomiendo el ARC rom de TripNRaVer porque es muy estable. Ahorita los Gingerbread roms no tienen camera pero todo funciona en los roms de froyo.

@Gagawoolalahah 2.3 isn't officially out yet. If you want to taste gingerbread, hit up the link in the description. It will tell you how to do it. You have to root your phone, install xrecovery and flash baseband .52 if you are not on it. There is a chance you may "brick" your phone, but the phone is basically unbricakable because you can repair it through PC Companion.

mtumnene 10 months ago
@mtumnene I wish I knew my friend. SE stated late Q2 or Q3. So earliest maybe in late July/August. Knowing SE, that might mean Winter or even 2012 as they failed repeatedly to make 2.1 timeframes. Hopefully they pull through this time!
sopdogg 10 months ago
@sopdogg wait wait wait wait wait, this can have dual touch without having to buy another phone?
SonyDroid 10 months ago
@SonyDroid Yessir! If your phone is debranded, you can just connect your phone to PC companion and update your phone to the latest firmware which will include dual touch in it. If you are on AT&T, you might never see 2.1 or even the newly announced 2.3 update. so you will have to debrand it via methods found on XDA-Developers.
sopdogg 10 months ago
@sopdogg Yay thanks for answering this for me! Hate to say it though but I'm only a kid soo.. I'm not that good with tech I mean I am but not on phones that much right now I'm just using open home 6 htc sense theme. kabkilo 11 months ago

I made another video that you should check out showcasing 2.3.3 & Cyanogenmod.

kabkilo 11 months ago
