@ 1:45, if you don't get that "false step" down against a good d-line, they'll tear you up. More feet down quicker is better. You want that quick foot down to plant.
i agree with joey. they're swimming. the hands should go no further than the hips, as tho you're reaching for guns in a holster. no need to wind up. another thing, when pulling the first step should be about a 45 degree angle. its no so much about distance so much as actually clearing your line and making sure not to run into the backfield. first step open up hands on your hips. second step fire and hands to the chest.
