Before I came here to America, I was one of those kids who were helped by a nice young man, just like yourself. Thinking back, I was only 10 then, but now, 6 years later, I still think back about it. It really did change my life and I would love to go back to Philippines to do what you did... so in the summer of 2010, my parents and I plan to do the same. You're an inspiration! .. .You may think what you did wasn't that much, but you've touched their little hearts. :)

hey, it's basically an egg... a duck egg... but the embryo is fertilized & pretty much fully developed. apparently, it's also an aphrodisiac.

google "balut" =) not the most appetizing thing but it really is not as bad as it sounds.

Jodee...amazing and inspiring. if only there was more people like you who want to make change in someones life. To be honest this is what I am going to college for. NOt exactly what you did but I am going into social work because I love helping kids. I also loved how you had them trace their foot. And you got them sandals. Really loved this video Jodee, you touched my heart with your act of kindness to those kids.

I have helped a couple of friends and their family over in the Philippines because I know how hard it is for some of them, but at least I got one of them back into college. I wish I was rich and could do more sometimes but I am very limited.

I've never expected to be teaching little kids..but we can't really tell..now that i am a preschool teacher. I was teaching HS studs in the Phils..they are well matured and stubborn... BUT being with little kids is challenging and fun.

I get to be childlike again. oh no... This is not second childhood! wahahahaha!
