In other words, it is naïve to expect that the pro-Kibaki/PNU and pro-Raila/ODM gangs, will only fight against each other forever. If there's no political settlement soon, at some point, the gangs will unite. Then it will become gangs of poor Kibaki and Raila supporters from Kibera, Kiambu, Dandora, and so on, together attacking, without discrimination, the homes of Kibaki and Raila middle class supporters. It happened in Congo. It can happen in Kenya.

Which begs the question, can the violent spiral ever come to Parklands or Muthaiga?

THE ANSWER LIES IN THE OTHER Congo, Congo Brazzaville. Some of the events in that central African country bear some uncanny similarities to what is happening in Kenya today

This is a true color of our nepotism and despotism. We have had it in us for such a long time and we are letting it out.

@itsapuma: you might be right, but It doesn't mater if we point fingers at countries/tribes. Fact, if a country/tribe in one region is not stable, the effects are felt far and wide. As a region, we should build institutions for 'regional stability'. Lets turn our biggest weakness to our strength.

Kenya has fallen low, and from the looks of it, nothing is going to help it from sinking to its lowest. What happened cannot be changed, for years to come Kenya will be seen as a worthless country with no hope...all this because of 2 leaders who are infact educated but are acting as if street man with no sense in them. Both men should accept of what they have done wrong, it is not too late for them to solve their issues. Violence is going to continue, the only way to stop it is if Kibaki leaves.
