it`s all a bit contrived I daresay. much as I love the scream, putting on a big "20th anniversary screamadelica extravaganza" instead of the first really decent album since xtrmntr seems a bit...well, silly.
My favorite album from my favorite band. 2 more sleeps till i witness bobby and co. in all their glory at big day out gold coast. pretty sure i'm gonna lose my shit if this is anything to go by.
what a great night. came down from Newcastle with my wife (who is a NY-er and has never seen them live before). great crowd, as someone else said, loads of 30/40 yr-odds acting like they're 20 again! when this was played for the 2nd time, we were all stood arm in arm. will upload some vids when i get chance. playin in n/cle in march as well!! doubt it'll live up to olympia, but i'll love finding out!
@lahmpowder It's the original version of 'Come Together', the remixed version is the one that ended up on the album. I believe it was the b-side. Unconventional? Sure was! That's what PS do best.
Awesome concert! I came from Paris to see the show. British audience is really great! Does someone know if a DVD will be released (many camera operators filmed the show) in UK?
what an amazing night and an amazing vibe! an experience that was almost spiritual!!. went on the Friday- everyone was a similar age ( late 30s/ early 40s ) and reminiscing on their youth- great sound and great atmosphere. Still sounds as fresh as it did back in '91- thanks for uploading and thanks everyone for making it a special night to remember. x
hats off to the scream team, best gig for a long long while, top show and visuals. 2cb was the order of the day, took me back to Brixton Academy on the first screamadelica tour. bit gutted it finished at 10.30 was up for a 6am drop perhaps the lads can't handle the late ones anymore, still pulled some right shapes mind x
See when the trumpets kick in....just magic.
