  • i fuckn hate ya dumb ass music

  • Haha we watched this in class today, so happy to find it.. solely for the song (':

  • Well done ! Excellent Video !

  • Damn, this may sound stupid but we actually watched this in my class today!! x)

Just wanted to watch it again to find out the awesome song :P

  • Congratulation for your great work, i think its quite the truth, and a way to see the big picture that is way too often ignored.

  • aweseome video thanks for the upload, it`s really good that ppl are being made aware of the suffering the germans had to endure. im part german and i live in holland were ppl are still pretty anti german so i have heard a lot about how evil germans are and al that bullshit, i think anyone who sees this has to understand what drove the german people into the second world war and the crimes commited.

  • nice video with good matching music

  • best band ever!

  • i hate how ppl make a video about germany.. and always add Rammstein... Germany has more bands than just Rammstein!

  • Very good video you have done a lot of reserch only thing was that the main reason why the Kiaser abdicated was because the Allies whould not negotiate a peace unless Germany was a Republic.

  • Ok, why do you use pics which are obviously from WW2? The jeep wasn't invented back then, and Hitler's name wasn't written on any signs.

Germany was in condition to fight the war, but when USA entered the war it became too much, since USA hadn't been depleted by years of trench warfare.

Another thing, the soldiers who returned home were not armed, they had surrendered before they were allowed to go home, and they were very happy that the war was over, just like their enemies.

  • @truffyt Nit-picking rubbish commentary you oaf. The boy's done a fine job, spelling to one side...

  • @peterkar No, no he hasn't done a fine job. In fact, it's quite badly done. There's a lot of statements in that film which are anything but true, not to mention his disgraceful choise of music to it. Frankly, if I was his teacher, I would let him take that course again or have a big, fat F. Why? It's rubbish.

  • It basically amounted to the fact that in the autumn of 1918 the German soldiers did not want to fight anymore. They simply refused to go on. It had happened before, but not on such a massive scale and this time their frontline officers agreed with them.

They left the trenches in scores of thousands and marched home and there was nothing the general staff or the kaiser could do to prevent this.

  • This documentary is about WW1 ,,i wonder how some stupid morons commented about WW2 and the cold war !

  • very nice video, am of the opinion that if the US had not enered the war in 1917. the flame of war would had extinguished and the end would had been a draw. ww2 is just the result of unfinished business and france and the UK attemp to destroy its imperial rival

  • Well done; this is brilliant. I am going to show it to my students. They will appreciate the music at the very least. Thanks for being so talented and posting this.

  • great vid. some good comments here too. some parts seem difft than I remember studying, but I am partial to the canadian story. good job on post war Germany

  • I think this video is fuckin' awesome. I have a personal investment in the Great War and it's connection to future events. I agree with the author of this video, I think she summarily gives respect to the events which put Hitler in his stance. And the superlative editing don't hurt either...

  • nice video. our teacher played it for us. we are learning about the beginning of WWII. i was wondering what the name of the song was tht was playing. thanks

  • Very interesting video, thanks for making it. Great job.

  • Just imagine if Rosa Luxemburg had been the leader of Germany after the war. No Hitler, no WW2. A better world and may be the communists could have taken her as an example and not Stalin!

  • no the world probally have the tech on 1930 if no ww2

  • What tech?

  • technology like like velcro more advanced jet engines computers that kid of stuff cause the cold war made a lot of technical advancments

  • C'mon man. The technological advance isn't influenced only by war. WW2 didn't give nothing more than deaths, nuclear bombs and new imperialist powers.

  • what about going into space?and all that kind of stuff

  • Well there wouldn't be the space race between USA and USSR but there would have gone to space. May be a little later.

  • also i created the un which drasticly changed the amount of wars being fought since its creation

  • Come on. UN is influenced by USA. Also without WW2 there would be no NATO which caused so many imperialistic wars. Don't try tell me that WW2 helped the society.

  • it did technologicly also it created the internet

  • How did it create the internet? Also do you think internet is worth 65 million lifes and destruction of economic growth for countries for more than 10 years?

  • with otu the cold war america would not have created the defense system from russia just in case it attacks so they thought of radio waves but it diddnt work out so they were thinking of a differant and then it created the internet

  • "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mills

  • War is fought for what? For liberty, equality and brotherhood? No! War is fought for money. I 'll be a free man only when I will fight with my mind for a better world. Fighting a war for money doesn't make me free. Freedom isn't money, freedom is acting as an individual and not as a pawn.

  • PES TA RE ARXONTA :DDD

  • koita auta pou leei autos o altoid einai ligo paranoika.

  • eleos re ti leei o kamenos omg...

  • Are you seriously trying to tell me WW2 wasn't faught for Liberty?

  • Hahaha! You must be kidding me. May be the partizans and soldiers as individuals fought for their own liberty. WW2 was the game of the BIG men. Money the only reason war exists. All wars have an advisability. And guess what! This advisability unfortunately isn't LIBERTY. Do you think USA and UK were the liberators and the NAZIs were the bad men. Both the Allies and Axis fought for MONEY. When we will fight for liberty as a whole then we will be truely free.

  • Well that's your oppinion and you're entitled to it. That's the wonderful thing about living in a democracy, one created by those very men who fought and died for it in both World Wars. Had Hitler had succeeded you wouldn't be alive to have such an oppinion...

  • I don't disagree. Your 1st sentence is also very beautiful. But that doesn't mean that we mustn't search the truth. Because the truth is that both allies and nazis had an ideology but all if you see even in wikipedia it will surely refer to the international markets as the main reason of WW2. You can understand this by the outcome of WW2. Cold war, occupation of Germany, occupation of Japan etc. I can't prevail you if you don't want to search although I assure you WW2 was an imperialist war.

  • @sophocles888

    HELLO?

For the allies, WW2 was for LIBERATION of Europe, and end Hitler's WORLD DOMINATION dreams and save America, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world from his sadistic plans.

    BUT

For Hitler, WW2 was for WORLD DOMINATION and defense against LIBERTY OF EUROPE and the WORLD.

  • @sophocles888

ME and the WORLD are glad he failed...God must have interfered....

  • I am too. But Allies didn't fight for liberty of Europe. There was a treaty of Europe and USA which was telling that USA can't interfere in European issues. WW2 was the best chance for USA to interfere in their issues by helping Allies. Also USSR before being declared war by germans have made an pact for invading Poland. After the war there was occupation of Germany by british, american, french and soviet troops. In JApan also there was US occupation for a little. WAS THIS A WAR FOR LIBERTY?

  • what is that treaty you're talking about? can you please name it?

Those occupation you stated was called Sphere of Influence my friend...since Germany was the menace she was divided for awhile to stop her from making trouble again...

  • These Sphere of Influence was later used for Cold War! There were advisabilities. The treaty I reffered to was a policy of USA(sorry about my fault). It was called Monroe Doctrine.

  • @sophocles888

indeed it was used for Cold War, but it was not intended to be forever. somehow the USSR became the second menace after Germany because they also have their WORLD SOVIET DOMINATION agenda. and so the Cold War begun. USA left western Germany on their own after helping them rise again. You see US occupations were temporary.

  • 1961. Berlin crisis. Stand off between US and USSR tanks. There was US troops in west Germany in 1961. Also let's not see history partially. USSR didn't have a WORLD DOMINATION agenda and all these.

  • You must be one of those stupid fucking conspiracy theorists who will stand against a war on fascism and anti-semitism, claiming it to be a war over money...fuck off and die you nazi prick.

  • @BreakinGuitarz33 Oh! How did you understand I am a nazi? You must be a genious. But before you say whatever, you should search what imperialism means and if WW2 was an imperialist war? So rethink if I am a nazi conspiracy theorist before you insult me, retard. See the opinion of wise men and not only the opinion of the politicians who want you asleep and obedient.

  • @sophocles888 Money isn't the only reason wars exist, but it is certainly the only reason for which wars aren't fought; when men seek to preserve their wealth by the avoidance of armed conflict.

  • 3:12

fighting against the bastards who would elevate shitler to power

it is unfortunate that these brave revolutionaries did not overcome the fascists

  • watch back the history, Thanks for the videos.

  • lol! 3:35 there's a WWII pciture with the text:

"Das Ist Hitler und seine krieg"

    meaning:

    That's Hitler and his war!

  • rather watch this than read the text book...thanks

  • very good video, great information, however according to my textbook the famine, socialist uprisings, and soldier chaos occured in russia...

  • I think you'll find that after the first world war, there were uprisings everywhere in Europe... It wasn't just centralised to Russia... The fall out autocracy in both Germany and Russia created a power struggle...

  • 3:12 AMAZING photo.

  • Mmm Rammstein, I love them but I don't know if this music really suits the topic.

  • I think it was fitting to an extent, but it would have worked better for a video about the naval battles of WW1 if you knew the lyrics.

  • it kinda does cuz reise reise means journey journey

  • Jolly good work. Learning via YouTube...interesting

  • Hey Nice video Im studying History so this was verry useful...Great Job <=)!!!
