I think if you make ross into a pirate then a warrior hes the best, he turns out better than garcia if you level him to 20 before you upgrade him from pirate because of the extra 10 levels as a rookie, he'll kick anyones ass with an iron axe!

@Glasstomten i recently sent out dozla with the dragon axe onto valter's ass but it only got me 69%. i was too afraid to execute the action. is there like a hit % bonus for ross?

@McScreamo Well, it wasn't 100%, that's for sure. It may have been between 70 and 80, and I think Ross would have survived even if he hadn't hit, unless Valter landed a crit.

@Glasstomten lol yeah what pissed me off is that i sent in cormag with the killer lance because i didn't want to chance with dozla dying and with the killer lance i saw that valter only had a 5% crit rate. and sadly he killed cormag. i might start the chapter over though. i remember getting the dragon axe from a soldier. i might try it with gerik. considering he's a hero and all. plus he might a better chance of hitting. i already promoted colm, but i might use the master seal on ross.

@McScreamo You could give the axe to Gerik. He's a hero, so he doesn't have the same strength as a berserker, meaning he might not take him in one hit, but he's considerably more bulky. And he may have a better chance of hitting. But if you have the possibility of making Ross a berserker, that is recommended.

@Glasstomten oh yeah, i promoted ross to a berserker. and i whooped valters ass with ross then finished him off with cormag. i just switched the hoplon guard around to avoid his critical hits. thanks for the help! ^^

@Glasstomten A great guy to fight Valter is, Cormag. Just equip a lovely Dragonspear and attack. :D

Although.. My Cormag succeeded with having excellent status letting him be so powerful. He's amazing like Joshua.. :,)

Just steal his shield with rogue Colm then kill him with a dragon slayer weapon with 1 or 2 hit... or send Yoshua and pray for his critical hit. : )

FE8 was my least Fav FE game, but this is one of the most memorable songs in the series.

In fact, most of the music in this game was Golden.

I know what you mean. But gameplay was also well polished too, with the introduction of being able to choose between 2 classes to promote to. And the choice of two separate quests you could go on too.

But I think the game came short in the story department. I couldn't connect with the characters like I could in FE7. I think the reason is because in FE7 characters would turn to the screen and talk to you sometimes. I felt like I was a part of their world. I'd like to see that done again. =)

FE 7 was unique compared to the other FE games, the story was deep and well explained, the gameplay was excellent, simple, fun and challenging. But I don't think we will ever see a fire emblem character talk to us ever again, FE 7 in my opinon was made to bring in fans from all over the world not just Japan.

This is my favorite song in the game too. It always reminds me of the mission where you have to save Innes. You have to go all over the damn place and enemies come from all directions, you really have to "rise above."

You sort of can, you just have to unlock him after the game. But I do see your point, I thought it would have been cool to use him during the main game. I always let Cormag kill Valter, just so he can get his revenge.

That's because Valter has the evil villain ability. No matter what logic or reasoning you use, an evil villain always has the ability to appear anywhere anytime.

Yeah, it hasn't the typical "take over the enemy country" mission plus "dark Lyon" is the 1st boss of the last chapter and the Demon King holds an apocalyptican speech when he is reborn.^^
