  • How did you change the flash pattern? Is it a controller or did you program it yourself?

  • federal signal pa300? i just picked one of those up for my truck

  • i have the same lightbar except i use it on my POV cuz im on a fire dept. and i was wondering how you get the takedowns to flash. mine are a steady burn and if like my takeodwns and alleys to flash.

  • What did you use for power supplies and did you have to link them or have a means of syncing them together?

  • This was a top-of-the-line lightbar not all that long ago. The Edge 9908 had 8 strobes, takedowns, alleys, and rear flashers. Then you could add a Piercer II dual strobe to the front center. CometFlash or LongBurst were the common patterns.

  • das leuchtet ja mehr als ein Weihnachtsbaum :P

  • LED sucks! Strobe???? FTW!!!!

There is something about strobe lights thats cooler than LED

  • ROTATRS FTW god bless the visibar and twinsonic!

  • leds are brighter but strobes have more a of pop

  • Awh man that sucks your two amber lights blink like a hazard I love it when they alt. back and fourth like wig wag. but great looking light bar what do you use it for?

  • I only use it for my collection.

This is one of my 3 american Lightbars.

    My other are from germany

  • The siren just doesn't sound right. I don't know if it's the brand or the mic on the camcorder, but it seems well.. off.

  • Hi, I've used a throttled Federal Signal PA-300 in this Video.

  • Looks like my old police cars lights.

    Until we switched to LED.

  • ahhh thats what im talkin bout i was looking at lights bars around the world an what kind other countries use an USA is that best one yet !!!

    I have a Carson SA-361

I just found the new siren I want!!

  • This is a Federal Signal PA-300

  • I love the PA 300 siren. I own one and it has such a cutting sound to it. Looks like your 9M is a 8 strobe setup. You should push it to 12, because that'd look stellar.

  • anybody got any of these lightbars for sale??

  • what camera did you use? most camera's can't keep up with the intensity of strobes so it looks like they either aren't flashing or the patterns usually suck ....

and i want one of those.....

  • oh.. this is an old video. I don't know which camera i've used.

But now I'll use the Casio Exilim EX-Z200. This camerea has a extra YouTube mode. And you can wacht the newest Videos in High Quality. Whatch my new Videos. For example the Hänsch DBS 2000. This one has doubleflashers. And a gread quality. Just klick on watch in high quality under the video.

  • im in colorado and as a volunteer i run red blue and a siren on my truck and most fire and police are red blue but some fire only use red

  • Funny thing about America is that each of the 50 states has different standards. Here in Washington (state) police use red/blue, fire only uses red on the actual emergency vehicles but volunteers may use green on their personal vehicles (but no sirens). Tow trucks, however, must have red. Funeral escorts have red but I heard some legislature wants to have funeral escorts and hearses use purple. Go fig.

  • here in Texas, some state cars use all white led's in the front of the light bar, and red and blue in the back of it, fire use red and white, volunteers use red or green, some have sirens, and funerals use local police or sheriff as escorts, and its cool because a city near me has installed on a couple interceptors four cameras facing each direction on top of the light bar that scans license plates to check if its stolen

  • I'm waiting to see Whelen come out with HID take-down lights, too. You can get an HID flashlight for $350 (a very important work tool I mean your pistol is $500-800 and you hope you *never* use it why not get the best flashlight since you use it all the time). I read that the HID lights are much brighter but still take less power, even though they are powered by a transformer/ballast (hence the price). Dunno of HID ballasts and bulbs can take constant blinking though, as far as life span.

  • are you allowed to have that if your a voulnteer firefighter

  • It's not allowed if you want to use this as a private person. But on a fire truck is this allowed. (in Blue/Blue)

  • Our Sheriff's Office uses these on the 2003-2005 Crown Vics. Only our BLUE is on the DRIVER side, and RED on PASSENGER. All of our 2006 + Crown Vics(intrepids, and explorers) have the new THIN LED Whelen light bars.

  • what state are you, nc doesnt allow sirens and most counties are just blue on police.

  • ?? Many Police cars have red/blue lights!! Whatch google.. for example Texas use these ones. The Siren is a Federal Signal PA300

  • is that a whelen siren??

  • No.. The Siren ist a Federal Signal PA300

  • sweet

  • That's a nice bar. Great visibility!

  • Nice lightbar!!!

  • well oh3mgeewtf ur scrub ! very much i can say

red and blue allowed to USA and to alot other countrys except greece only blue there allowed , only on ambulances allowed for red and blue for example can have whelen edge for use if they want i have ask alot people.... so dont say you Aerodynic whats hes name what to do lol..

  • huh? thats a mouthful pal.

  • well that is an Excellent and smart lightbar

whelen edge and Vector and vision lightbars are smarts both of it

  • well in most states the strict color red / blue is not allowed without a permit. simply because they are used for police purposes and or ambulances. but other colors such as amber / green / white / purple. ect. are allowed. but you also have to talk to your town clerk.

  • you do have a good point but i must point out that in the state of new jersey, green lights are strictly prohibited unless the vehicle could be used as a mobile command unit

  • Hahahaha that's awesome! So you could go driving down the autobahn with a crown vic or caprice with that lightbar on, sirens blaring? I'd go for an NYPD caprice or an NY state police camaro hehe

  • sounds illigal to me

  • it's legal only if your collecting or if your a member of a volunteer fire company in a state that allows red/blue and sirens (some states that allows sirens are required to have red/white only)

  • yeah...like central florida...i live here...all police cars have red and blue, fire is just red, and ems is red

  • same in virginia

  • is people allowed to put sirens and lights on there own vehicles?

  • Normaly it's not allowed. But in Germany, if you have a original us police car, you can let the lightbar on the roof.

  • Only if you are part of a police dept. or Vol. Fire dept.

  • yes sure mf

  • all right you was cay say are not for sale without !!

    im just asking

  • Sorry my english is not so good ;-)

  • ok calm down lol,to who you talk with !! ? lol

  • MAKE A DEMO OF THE SIREN!! :D

  • You just had TOOOOO much fun with the siren no?

  • The only thing I don't like is the fact that the flashers are not wig wag.

  • i like very much those lights and siren

  • reply me look ur comments thx m8 :))

  • Do you just collect these things? If so thats a pretty expensive hobby lol.

  • Right!

  • Cool.. Would U sell it to me?? I need that one with blue/blue lenses.. thanks

  • i like the colours of the siren so you got off ebay

  • that thing would definitly get you noticed.

  • Isnt that sound from a toy fire or police toy car????

  • NO! The siren is from a Federal Signal PA300 but with some resistance it's quietly

  • what is with the siren tones? Just wondering why you are using them?

  • i think only flashing lights are boring.

  • You need to change out the blue lenses with red and sell it to me for my POV. :)

  • Hehe.. no chance. I get this Lightbar for my collection.

    Red/Red lenses... what State??

  • Kentucky. I'm a volunteer firefighter and in a year I'll be lighting up my ride.

  • light bars are art to my eyes, the siren are music to my ears.

  • In my eyes and ears too =)

  • i cant wait to be a cop.

  • san antonio texas, sapd has the same lightbar.
