  • I am an Ovation fan, and it's pretty fun to watch this! This is really juicy, John ... is that TAPE on the guitar? Please explain, and thank you for posting this.

    :)

  • for anyone interested, the main parts of this can be learned here :)

    TALENT

  • Great job of Davey's very memorable Angie.... Thanks

  • very nice man!

  • i think thats an ovation. my uncle has one they sound amazing.

  • SERIOUSLY!! W

  • hang on, wasnt this by bert jansch? or did he just do a version

  • the real verson was writen by simon garfunkel

  • Simon and Garfunkel did a cover of Davey Graham's original piece. Paul and his brother did a nice duet which can be seen on YouTube, but they are not the original artists/writers, as often thought. They just happened to be more popular, so are often credited with it.

  • yes he did a version

  • Ovation?

  • it's rare to see so powerfully gifted people on youtube. outstanding.

  • Great job! You're amazing.

What kind of guitar is that?

  • Wow...Hats off to you sir..Respect.

  • amazing , i saw you play last year at my aunties birithday and i have a few of you cds ... cant stop listening

  • Nice work Sir.......this is the best cover of this wonderful track I´d ever heard...........only the original S&G version is better.

My fingerpicking is poor vs. your talent........hat off to you ;)

  • but it´s not the original...

  • to ganimed:

this song is definrtively not from s+g

  • Sure....Angie/Anji is from S&G. They both performed this classical guitar arrangement on the album "Sound of Silence" and they used parts of it as the intro in the song "Somewhere They Can't Find Me" on the same album.

It was originaly composed by Davey Graham.

  • Yep you got the gift bro.

    Nice

  • this is the best cover of this classic song on the whole of youtube, i dont know why but most other people have either got it far to fast missed out vital bits or all together ruied it i take my hat off to you sir this is one amazing bit of talent and i believe sir you are a legend amoung men =)

  • Hi Johnny- we are fans of Stephen Bishop coming to the concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic. Generally, we would not be too interested in the support act, but after hearing your material on both Youtube and your own website, we are so impressed that we are looking forward to seeing you as much as the Bish himself!! We hope the night goes well for you - look for us at the front in Row E. We are the group from a small village called Ramsbottom - high 6!! Paul, Chris and the inbreds!
