Thats a nice setup, I'm jealous of those dumbells haha those are next on my list. I also have the powertec power rack but in yellow and the lat machine is separate. Check out the vid if you'd like. Did yours come with the dip bars?
I've got the PowerTec Utility Bench you have, it is my primary piece of workout equipment, I've got the leg ext./ leg curl attachment with it, also have a key's fitness lat tower I slide down into the leg attachment slot on it and do lat pulldowns and tricep pressdowns , the rest of what I do involves using dumbbells, I've got a rack full of hexbells ranging from pairs between 5-to-75 lbs., I firmly believe in pyramiding all my sets, either going up in weight or down in weight, and the 5x5 system
Just did my first full body workout on the new setup.I only have half a bedroom for my home gym but I have my Powertec Power Rack,Powertec utility bench, olympic weight set, adjustable dumbbells, and a treadmill. Not alot of open space but I can do most everything within the rack system.Pull out the safety bars and no trouble doing dumbbell flyes, etc.I have a 8 foot ceiling and no trouple doing chinups.I cant reccomend the Powertec stuff enough.
One more comment about the Ironmaster dumbbells.Ironmaster is going to be releaseing an adjustable kettlebell that will work with the current plates that fit your dumbbell.Ive been wanting to try kettlebells for some time so that looks like more insentive to pick up that dumbbell set.Gotta keep mixing it up.
Just got back from purchaseing the Powertec power rack,Powertec utility bench, and 300 pounds of Troy olympic plates and barbell.Should be setup and ready to go in a week. How do you like your Ironmaster dumbbelss?Any problem with the locking mechanism?
Thanks for the good word.I saw one negative review in regaurds to the locking mechanism(on youtube) but everything else ive seen has been real positive. They look badass to me.Ordering them up in a couple weeks.Cheers!
nice set up. i want to get that power rack but i'm tight for space height wise in my house. it might just fit in room, but not sure if there would be enough room for pullups (maybe i can cut a whole in the ceiling for my head).
you should get a bike (mountain bike or road bike), much more fun than sitting in one spot. i have a road bike, but i live in Canada so i have to put it away for winter, but then out come the cross-county skiis.
you can do cardio with your upper body you know, you dont always have to use your legs. e.g. heavy bag, medicineball work, kettlebell, etc... cheaper than a bike aswell.
looks like you spend more time talking about your equipment that you bought rather than actually using them.
