  • i prefer this mono version, better than the stereo mix (piano right/ guitar left/ voice drum... middle)

  • My favorite Beatles song as well. Great idea they had to keep the ending going so long! As far as I'm concerned, it could have kept going for another 20 mins haha. na na na na.... love it!

  • this song is BEA$T

  • Jesus, i love the tone Lennnon gets out of his guitar for this song

  • Paul McCartney wrote this song for Julian when John and Cynthia were in their divorce proceedings in an attempt to cheer him up. Named after John's mother Julia, Julian, john had some other nicknames for Julian, some of which include Jude, and Jules.

  • @00792756 Right. It is a very warm attention that Paul shared for Julian. And I think John agreed that Paul was absolutely warm-hearted when he wrote the song for poor little Julian.

  • One person disliked this. It must suck being deaf. :(

  • only 1 guy missed the like button.

  • in my ass

  • 2:32

    BA-NA-NA-NA NA NA NA Yeaaaah

    Hahahahaha

  • Why is there a pause button? This song is unstoppable

  • la mejor cancion pop de todos los tiempos...

  • Paul is the best!

  • The Beatles don't make mistakes, they're perfect. Well as perfect as only they can be.

Love and Peace to all the inhabitants of planet earth.

    Joe B.

  • why does he swear

  • Oh... you can hear him swear!!! XD

  • I have an awesome music video based on a beatles song. Check it out.

I edited, directed and posted it onto youtube as a 12 year old.

Type in Brennan Music Video Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

  • If you listen at about 2:58, you hear a sound from John Lennon while Paul keeps singing. It sounds like "Ohh!" at first, but it is really him saying "...chord!" You can barely hear it, but if you listen really closely, you can hear him say "Got the wrong CHORD." He says "chord" much louder than the other words. And @3:00 you can hear McCartney say "F**king hell

  • @beautyfullme94 did they record over it? kuz idk how he couldve said that and sang at the same time

  • @McLovinguitar4 They recorded different instruments and vocals parts at different times so when paul says "F**king hell" is when he was recording piano among others and vocals were at another time. then they just put the different tracks together right.

  • haha. I never noticed that he swore in this.

  • @Geoffteyyyyyyy I read that the sound engineers said it was Paul who said "f hell" because he made a mistake on the piano. They also said it was John's idea to leave it in "'Paul hit a clunker on the piano and said a naughty word,' Lennon gleefully crowed! Given that Paul was a perfectionist and was bossy about getting things perfect - i'm surprised he agreed to leave it in.

  • much better than the stereo remaster

  • but i don't really what the difference is :/

  • lol youd think theyd take out the "fucking hell" thing in the remastered version :P

  • i love the orchestra at 5:33

  • i hope this song comes onto beatles rockband soon, i love it!

  • are any of the commentators on this page native english speakers? (no offense intended).

  • i really like ringo drumming here, is simple but really enough to fullfill the song requeriment.

  • He's a master of subtlety. His "simple" drumming on songs like Come Together and Hey Jude have a great impact on the overall sound.

  • @mamflyer Ringo was a master of subtlety.

  • lol listen to paul at 2:57

  • but great song

  • That's actually John lol

  • I was comparing flac files of the stereo and mono versions to decide which one to buy, but apparently the FLAc files for mono are smaller than stereo (all the ones I've found available). Anyone knows why??

  • 4:41 epic screaming go paul

  • 6:08 Amazing screaming in Rock music, by Sir Paul McCartney.

The remastering helped alot all the songs (Stereo & Mono), and the fade out in "Hey Jude" is 7:11.

  • There's a cymbal in this song? Wow the remastering helped alot.

  • Hey, where do you get the pictures that you use in your videos for the album covers? Cause I'm uploading mine into my iPod and I want some good artwork :)

  • ahh, Wikipedia's a good site my friend :). I use that for ALL my album covers for my songs. 500x500pixels for the size of an album is perfect for iTouch, mp3's, etc. when it shows the album art.

  • How do you add album covers to your ipod?

  • @HotShotCMS me to

  • I am 56 I grew up on these guy's it would be interesting if they put Hey Jude and Revolution on the Cd's they make now as bonus song's that is where they belong ....It would also be nice if they finished releaseing the U.S. Capitol Albums (Vol. 3) Yesterday & Today, Revolver, Hey Jude and Rareties...

  • when in the song does he swear? plz tell me :)

  • about 3:00

  • what does he say

  • I think he says fuckin' hell..... but I'm not absolutely sure. Oy, my virgin ears!!

  • A few seconds before he curses, you can hear him say "Come on!" and soon after "Fucking hell!"

  • when does he say fucking hell?

  • Around 2:58

It's quiet, but it's definitely there.

  • haha i heard it, it is quiet. there so cool.

  • you can hear john swear louder in this lol

    amazing remastering.

  • damn, such an amazing song....and it was never put into any of the studio albums. wtf?!

  • The Beatles had a habit of not including singles on their studio albums, because they wanted their fans to get their money's worth out of the singles. It probably was a mistake that they left this (and Revolution) off the The White Album. I'd have replaced Revolution with Revolution 1 and made Hey Jude the closing song on the album. If they'd have done that, The White Album would have kicked even more ass than it currently does!

  • damn, the white album is beast enough as it is. that would have sealed the motherfucking deal!

  • revolution 1 as a single? no way. :D

i agree,it would kick as this was on the white album

  • maybe not for the BEATLES but most bands today wouldn't knock it back as as single.

  • sorry i thought he mean't revolution 9. lol i love revolution 9,it's a great song if you guys wanna call it a song,i think it is. but the majority of the public wouldn't think the same.

  • more a sound montage..and to the BEATLES (or really John lennon's credit) brave to put it to disc although only they could get away with it...yeah ..i like it for what it is...

  • Oh it's very scary at night, but I really love the advant garde sounding

  • This sounds great. Didn't know that Let it Be was released in mono. Wasn't stereo gaining popularity at this point. Seems like bands no longer record in this great format.

  • i wanted to have all the albums to have the Apple Logo on the side and I couldn't find a Mono masters with one, this is the Mono masters though :)

  • They didn't take out the 'Oh fuckin hell' before the breakdown? XFD

  • It gives the song some authenticity though.

  • It's Bloody Hell There A British Band

  • I much prefer this mono version.

  • The drums sound much better on the mono version.

  • great version I like alot

  • I prefur Mono Masters over the new Past Masters.

  • 1968. 13 years old. This was THE SONG at school dances, the best slow dance of all time that lasted a blissful 8:22 minutes with my main crush. Ahh, memories. :) Still the best after all of these years. Mono rocks. Thanks for posting.

  • sounds perfect than the other video thx ur cool

  • get twist and shout!!! cant wait to hear the shit*goosbumps*

  • 41 years ago this time when some people thought the Beatles were washed-up they came roaring, screaming, exploding-atom-bomb-back with this their greatest single which stayed at #1 for 9 WEEKS IN A ROW at the end of the summer in 1968. Simple aren't enough superlatives in the dictionary for this incredible piece of art. The mono version has a slightly longer fade-out than the stereo. Thanks.

  • Excelente esta version de hey jude en mono ...

  • Thankyou!! Please Please MorE !!!

  • You don't have Paperback Writer at all, do you? I'd love to hear if there's any improvement on the 1987 version.

  • thespermdonor, if i may call you that, there are Paperback Writer vids on here from vinyl 45's you may want to look up that have more punch and balance than the stereos. I haven't seen the new remasters of it here yet but check out the vinyl drops they have here.

  • Paperback Writer/Rain is up :], srry if there's a delay between songs iunno how it happened : S

  • Comment removed

  • I have never heard Get Back in mono. I have the vinyl 45, but its stereo.

  • cafewindows... Get Back in mono is on the new mono masters disc which has not been put here. Check out on here the needledrops of Get Back where people play their old mono 45s here and you'll get a good sense of it.

  • I have the mono set, but the Get Back 45 was in stereo in Canada in 1969.

I prefur the remastered single tracks as I heard them, when I bought them on vinyl. I prefur Thank You Girl in mono but Get Back in stereo.

  • these are digital remasters... just cause even the vinyl version (no remasters) had WAY better quality then the digital version we had before 9/9/2009 :)

  • MONO IS WHERE IT'S AT :D I'm waiting for my mono set to come in the mail.

  • Excellent mono remaster!
