I just came back from Vietnam a week ago. The traffic is much more congested than that. To cross the street, you simply just start walking nice and slow and the cars, motorcycles, and bikes will avoid you.

It still amazes me how well coordinated traffic is in so many of these East Asian countries. Notice how cross traffic is moving simultaneously in this video and each motorcycle just travels right through everything without having to weave left and right?

Way too cool how two waves of traffic come at each other and pass each other without any hits! I am sure though that in a day there atleast a few hits.

It may seem chaotic. Here in lousy europe or in fucked up america, its more common thinking that the rules protect us while driving, and of course most of the dumb humans dont give a shit about rules. But in the middle-east or as we go further east, you can see people actually look after others while on the road.
