He makes great points! I am tired of the Union bashing. Look at who the opponents of the Big 3 loan are....one example is (R) Shelby of Alabama who is in a "right to work/anti-union" state who along with some other repub politicians has given BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to foreign auto makers to build plants in their states...and those foreign companies pay health care through government subsidies. UNIONS are not the problem!!!!

I like this guy alot more then the UAW pres.

Still, he is protecting the big 3 CEOs that continue to screw up their own companies.

He acts like the workers run the companies and determine its success alone.

Hes right that universal healthcare would solve alot of their problems, but thats not their only problem.

I havent heard a single union guy give any faults of the auto industry.

They only blame everybody else.

I don't think you will find any union leader advocating for management, PARTICULARLY LEO.

The why does the UAW guy keep defending the management of the companies. He really kept saying management is fine, the workers are making great vehicles that people want and this crisis only started with the credit crunch.

He is so hard up to defend his members that he will go to any lengths, even lie when its not necessary.

You can have good workers making bad vehicles because management has been lax in areas or ignorant in others.

If unions are defending management they are wrong. Again, I doubt Leo would be in that category. But even though management screwed up, there's too much at stake to let the auto cos. go down. They make things. Wall Street doesn't. That is Leo's message, IMO.
