are you Messier haters kidding? He fought McSorley and did pretty good. He had a lot of great fights, this just wasn't one.

It's one thing to be strong, but you also have to know the fighting techniques.

Messier was well known as one of the strongest players in the NHL however he wasn't a very good fighter.

What WAS he thinking?
Where did he ever get the rep for being tough?
The only thing he did that was tough was to throw elbows.
