  • To rjlchristie - do you still have that tab? We're going to try it in the next few weeks. At one time I did have the whole tab, but now that I need it, I'm only finding a few notes. Please reply to ecmarshall at gmail dot com. Thanks tons.

  • Richy Stano is an unbelievable guitarist. For all of you who know nothing about recording, STFU and stop acting like an amateur recording should be flawless. GET A LIFE.

  • Where did those guitars come from? a pawn shop in Czechoslovakia?

  • @terrryc Richy's Klein guitar is a very expensive hand-made guitar, Mr. Joe Six-Pack.

  • that was fuckin awesome!!!!!

  • good job check out revival at killemeyers donig this

  • and check nickionick out to

  • i think its a good version

  • To all the moaners in this thread... "eeww they don't do it exactly" - get a life 'cause you certainly don't understand music. I bet Hunter and Wagner mixed it up each time they played as well.

Go check my transcription on the Ultimate-Guitar tab site if you want the fossilised notes. Otherwise, give credit to this great cover performance - it's exact where it counts and takes liberties where appropriate.

  • You're a pal...and you're right. We'll check out your tabs.

  • you mentioned you had posted a tab for it. I searched but could not find it. I am interested in the intro and Dick Wagner lead parts from RnR Animal. Love that version. Can you help me out? Thanks in advance.

  • LOU REED MUST BE GETTING SICK!!

  • Given that it's a crappy bar mix in a crappy bar, this was great. The drums are too loud and just sound bad. The organ doesn't sound right. But as far as I'm concerned, they captured the feeling of the whole thing and that's what matters. The original live recording on Rock and Roll Animal was absolute magic. I don't think Steve and the original band could do it again like that anyway. I'm glad at least someone is trying!!!

  • Nice effort, but if this was the end result of my bands way of doing this song, I wouldn't do it at all. No energy, very zombie-like. Forget it. Steve, Dick and company had a very magic and special thing going back then. It takes a real man, A double cutaway Les Paul Junior, a Hiwatt or Marshall to pull this one off. : )=

  • It is impossible to redo the original on Rock n Roll Animal. So forget it. Don't even try if you can't do it exactly as the original on this intro. Sorry I don't feel much from this.

  • this is one of the best intro's of any rock and roll tune. The version on Rock and Roll Animal is amazing!. however with that said this is a truly good version.

  • Well done guys, a very hard song to cover. The main guitarist of Cadillac does an admirable job on a marathon guitar part. Its a song I have always wanted to learn, but have never got down to doing it, as it is so hard. Though after seeing this, I think I will get a start on it, as it is THE ultimate in melodic rock guitar....... Once again well done Cadillac! I have never seen a band anywhere cover that song, let alone do it as well as you guys did.

  • i think the call themselfs sr cad now

  • To learn this lead, first, you need to learn to hear the voice of Steve's guitar...start with "Detroit, featuring Mitch Ryder" and then Alice Cooper "Welcome to My Nightmare". Steve uses very characteristic phrasings and runs...never repetitive but spend some time listening to him. You can distinguish his guitar lines from Wagner's because his guitar voice is "sweeter", even with the edge and bite; Wagner's guitar voice is rougher, more muscle than soul

  • Cadillac played in my backyard over 30 years ago, now I'm driving one (only bought it because they used a Led Zep soundtrack in the commercial).

BK and Andy look great - do you guys dye your hair? What little I've got left is all gray (4 kids will do that to you).

Nobody told me about that reunion or I would've been there. I shoulda been playing drums!

  • Shemariahu, is that you Wanda? What the hey? - Naipes

  • I was at the 1st "Rock and Roll Animal" show at the Academy of Music and the 2nd show didn't sell that well, so they invited us all to stay for it. Absolute heaven! The guitar duels during 'Oh Jim' - My God!!

Hunter w/Junior and Wagner w/Les Paul 'Recording'. Lou who?

  • Steve Hunter was the other lead....wish that was caught on film back in '73. One of the best live rock performances EVER!

  • not bad

  • Always loved that track- Steve Wagner was one of the best!

  • doncha mean dick wagner?

  • nice job, very nice job.

  • Great band with a goofy child for a singer. Cool is sometimes not acting but just doing nothing at all.

  • More dual lead on original???

Live Lou Reed Rock n Roll Animal has the 2 best Rock Guitarists in the history of the Game...
