It's a gift of God to be enjoyed on His terms. 2) Men and women were not created equal. Equal in worth and dignity but not equal in design. If she does not believe men should marry men, why should she be punished for this? She said she does not mind what other people do.
That's the rules of democracy and freedom of speech - you are allowed to speak your mind.

No she was not brave. Her opinion is shared by the majority of Americans. She even got cheered for her answer. She did NOT lose her title because of her views on gay marriage. She lost it because she was breaching her contract. Not showing up for events and being lazy. Like I said before. She is allowed her opinion, but so am I. I don't have to respect her opinion anymore than I a have to respect someones views that interracial marriage is wrong.

As a straight female reading some of these comments, it gets easier and easier for me to remmebr why I prefer the company of the gay community. SOOO much more tolerance and acceptance there than in the closet case world. Just a couple of thoughts on what you're saying: 1) Christians believe that marriage was divinely instituted, not some human invention. If so, that means it's not a right. It's a gift of God to be enjoyed on His terms. 2) Men and women were not created equal. Equal in worth and dignity but not equal in design. That whole giving birth thing that women do really knocks the "equality" idea off track.

something that was intitutionalized more than 2000 years ago by the roman empire than adopted into the 'christian' way of life is hardly something to stand on as being legitimate. and btw anyone who does the least amount of research realizes that marriage is an institution created to recognize personal property as being co-owned by a couple and cant be questioned if one of them should happen to die.

The social problem of single parenthood has nothing to do with sexual attractions of gays and lersbians.
Does a gay marriage ban turn any gay person straight? Does it make gay couples happier? Does it do anything at all other than cause pain and suffering to gays and lesbians?
