  • "Hewitt Owning Federer ", mmm. What's the score? 6-3 7-6 1-0 to federer, that's some owning. Sounds more like another straights set victory for Federer on the way. Head to head 18/8 Fed.

  • @jbat100 Actually 4 sets. Decent match. The Aussie had his chances.

  • @unowen727 hahaha yeah thats spot on but thats what I like a bout Hewitt he's a way over confident dick. The power of self belief... hasn't worked for him in a fair while though quite a fair while actually. I was about 15 or 16 when Hewitt was number 1 now I'm like 25 hahaha

  • the appropriate title should have been "hewitt wins point against federer"

  • Shot is completely legal so long as the ball bounces before you reach over the net.

  • It's Hewitt's serve and It's Deuce #7 !!!!!!!!!

  • i didn't know you could put your racket over th net

  • Well.. thats not that RARITY. . i don´t want to take anything from Rog, he is the best of all time, and i´m his fan too ... but if you don´t know .. hewitt was 7 to 2 against Rog, before he started to lose his fire, and started to lose their matches, and unfortunatelly .. to fall in the rankings ..

Btw, even losing 15 times in a row to Federer, in some moments, he offered a good fight for Federer ... even Federer had some great comments about Hewitt, after his loss in Halle 2010 final ..

  • hewitt hit the ball on feds side... illegal play my friends.... Fed should'd won it.... FED FOREVER!

  • @banhovas Since the ball bounced on hewitt's side first then bounced back over the net Hewitt is allowed to make contact on either side of the net, so long as he doesnt touch the net. Im guessing this is why some consider this a great point.

  • @banhovas

hitting the ball on the other side of the net is allowed.... its TOUCHING the net that will lose you the point

don't comment if you don't know what your talking about

  • @aalthuis shut the fuck up u little faggot... youre not allowed to touch the ball on the opposite side you asshole... the thing U CAN DO is to hit the ball on your side and then do the follow through gesture on the other court as long as u dont interfere with the other player....

  • @banhovas

if what your saying is true, which it isn't. then why was this ball not disallowed when it was so obviously over the net, in clear view of the umpire?

    i'll tell you why

    BECAUSE IT'S ALLOWED

next time you should check if your actually right before insulting others and embarrassing yourself

  • @banhovas

It the ball spins back to the other side you can hit it there.

    ,,l,,

  • @banhovas if it bounces over you can.... you just cant touch the net at all

  • @banhovas as many people already has told you.. You are WRONG!! Looking forward to the excuse..

  • Isn't that illegal since Hewitt's raquet is over the net?

  • @KoreanTechReview

no,you can lean over the net, you just can't touch the net

  • And that is why Federer BAGELED him after

  • niiiiiceeee !

  • illegal move, he crossed the net while making contact with the ball

  • @figgisblackbaby No, if the ball is coming back to the other side, you are allowed to cross the net.

  • is that cthulhu in the background?

  • Do you want to become a great match player? Go to my channel and watch world class tennis part1/2

  • So you are allowed to reach over the net??

  • @dodododa Yes, but you're not allowed to touch it.

  • @dodododa you are allowed to reach over aslong as it bounced on your side of the court first.

  • I didn´t know that can be done. I think I´ve lost 2 or 3 points in my life, because of that.

  • this was back when he was a real force on the tour, i miss those days

  • oh ownage right there!!! That was actually the shittest thing i have ever seen, he couldn't even hit it more than 1 metre.

  • uh huh pure ownage, look at the score

  • @EvoAllen maybe u should try looking at the ONE POINT.

  • Doesn't HEW's raquet get over the net?

  • it's allowed, as long as he doesn't touch the net I beliee

  • because the ball had already bounced on hewitts side, it is allowed. you cannot reach over the net to volley

  • that's right..

  • @257411 THAT IS Exactly what i thought, though look at hewitts insane rally against federer and he beats him. I HATE FEDERER.

  • @Xboxishomo how can you hate Federer....he isn't number one for any other reason than he's the best overall.

  • nice shot.

  • These are the only 30 secs ull get of hewitt owning federer

  • this was no pwnage! F uk u Federer won this game, sure it was a good shot.

  • only 1 point by hewitt...yeah...total ownage alright -.-

  • that is in no way ownage... how stupid. besides iqaze, did you happen to look at the score???

  • Federer has a 15-match winning streak against Hewitt. That's what you call ownage.

  • hhhhhahaha xD

  • Hewitt won that point, Rog couldn't get to that ball, that's just the most amazing thing i've ever seen..

  • i thought ure racket couldn't go over the net?

  • can go over as long as your feet are on ur side and the racket doesn't touch the net

  • your racket or any part of your body could be over the net, as long as nothing touches the net nor your opponent's side of the court.

you will be deemed to lose the point if you touch the ball on your opponent's side of the net BEFORE it crosses the net.

however, if the ball bounced on your side of the court, and then goes back to your opponent's side of the court, then you are allowed to hit the ball, which is what happened here.

  • This isn't Badminton.

  • thts badminton

  • Couldn't quite believe the video title, so i clicked it out of curiosity.

    Then i saw the score.

  • great own! hewitt serve! 7th Deuce! game 1 - 0 Federer, sets 2-0 Federer

  • So, what? the scores tell everything.

  • the only thing Hewitt owned was a measly point in a match while all Hewitt does is watch Federer own his arse when they play and watch Federer win slams unlike Hewitt and his 2 slams!

  • Two majors aren't that few.

It's the thitd highest number of major titles on the tour at the moment.

    1. Federer (15)

    2. Nadal (6)

    3. Hewitt (2), Safin (2)

    4. Djokovic (1), del Potro (1), Ferrero (1), Roddick (1) (don't know if there are more on the tour who won a major)

  • Gaudio won one. Thomas Johansson maybe, but he probably isn't around anymore.

  • Of course, Gaston Gaudio, French Open winner 2004. There's another French Open winner I can remember now. Moya won it in 1998. And you are right, Johansson won the Aussie Open in 2002, he didn't retire yet, but I believe he does at the end of the season. His current ranking is 625.

  • Ah Moya, how could I forget about him? 1998 does seem a long time ago though, at least for me.

And it's a shame that Johansson is retiring, although I haven't heard much about him for some time.

  • hahahahahahah , owend him what ?? look at the scoreboard are you blind 0.0! LOL

  • did hewitt win the game? or this is just his one good shot during the play. maybe he got owned federer on this shot but federer owned him on he's almost entire career..such a pity

  • Notice no1 cheered COZ HEWIT IS A FAGGIT WAT A WANK!

  • haha owned

  • has hewitt ever beaten federer? wenever i see them go at it hewitt gets his ass kicked, this guy dominated tennis in 01 and 02, and fed brushes him aside.

  • OWNED!

  • There was never a tennis match where the losing player won no point.

So of course Hewitt would eventually get some points, but in the end of that match, Federer demolished him.

  • @ProfessaBojangles1 i hope you could say that today aswell, to bad Hewitt demolished Federer in germany couple weeks ago :D

  • minifedex your dad is gay

  • he went over the net, that no point

  • He can go over the net because de ball of Federer passed the net to come back on his side and it's the only case you touch the ball on the other side of the net.

  • You can't "own" someone only by winning a point, especially if you are serving. What if Federer did not even try to return, and then it would have been an ace?

  • Misleading title here. Considering Federer hands out 2 bagel sets.

  • @dovestones this point isn't during the 2004 final, it's the semifinal a year later which ended 6-3 7-6 4-6 6-3.

    no bagel sets

  • @dovestones

If you were logical you would've figured out that if he had two bagel sets, at the least he would have won 4 sets... the scoreboard is already 2 sets to Federer...

  • @dovestones that was a year eariler

  • yea, look at the score idiot

  • lleyton hewitt ur gay go federer alll the way

  • hahahahaha, check out the score, and the tiebreak before, federers owning hewitt buddy

  • owning federer... right take a look at the score buddy

  • bad video

  • how is he owning fedderer. its just one shot, not much of a hot shot for that.but he is a good player though

  • hewett did make contact(wth racquet) shot wasnt caused by federers shot with backspin) on his side and thats all that matter unless you touch the net...hewett hasn't beat fed in years in fact hasn't came close and surely not in this match...question though...why would anyone call someone a "dumbass"...shows a lack of class and really only makes him or herself bad..

  • wtf is up wit hthe sound ?

  • Actually your aloud to swing and follow through over the net, without touching the net. That is true he hit the ball when it was already over the net to federers side. Another point, Hewitt had no chance with him, it wasn't any owning there.

  • This is wrong. You are only allowed to reach over the net if the ball lands in your court first, then jumps over to the other side.

  • no usta rules state that when the ball lands on your side of the net, as long as you make contact with the ball on your side of the net, your follow through can go through to the other side. what you said is correct too, but reffering to a different rule

  • Generally you can't reach over the net and hit the ball. But Federer's ball landed in Hewitt's side of court and bounced back to his own side becaused of heavy back spin. In this case, it's perfect leagl for Hewitt to reach over and hit a winner. It's in the rule book.

  • Yes he is!! xD

  • dumbass, you are allowed to put ur raquet past the net but ur not allowed to touch it.

  • owning??? look at the score of the game

  • he reached over the net.

    can you do that?

  • hewitt played the best he could in this match and that was only good enough for one set and one tiebreak, which he lost 7-0. federer was completely on song, had like twice as many winners as hewitt. whoever wrote the title is either joking around or is sleeping with a lleyton hewitt blow-up doll. (don't ask me where you get those)

  • "Hewitt Owning Federer"? Come now, we all know what Roger's made of. One point doesn't dictate the outcome of the entire match.

  • ohhhhh yea federer is getting owned right? That is why hewitt is down two sets? That is why federer has 11 more grand slams? That is why federer beat hewitt straight sets and two of the sets being 6-0 in a grand slam final right? Dont ever say federer got owned. Show some respect for the greatest of all time. Who gives a shit about a mediocre australian.

  • woow,take it a little less seriously

  • okay gaywad...you think I need to calm down about roger federer? Look at your name. You are the one that needs to get a life.

  • all im saying is the title was just a joke, the guy is a federer fan anyway

  • breath in and out

  • aU DUMB FUCK HEWITT WON 2 GRANDSLAMS ASSFUK DUMB SHIT GET UR FACTS RIGHT

  • Well two slams may i tell you.

  • hewitt won two and was number one. actually he was number one before federer took it off him and had that long streak at number one.

  • lol true.

  • shame to hewitt, scare of Fed smash lob!

  • are you allowed to put your racquet over the net like that??

  • Yes, as long as you don't touch the net with your racket or body it's cool.

  • actually the ball bounced on federer's court first, so thats why federer lost the point. in normal circumstances that would've been illegal...

  • Dude, are you blind. Federer hit the ball back with a lot of slice/backspin and it bounced on hewitts side and then it was bouncing back on federers side BECAUSE OF THE BACKSPIN, and hewitt just touched it to score the point, otherwise federer would've won it.

    Think before you comment.

  • yes you're right, my bad

  • get an eyes check or some ,, !

  • I find the title very disrespectful to champion players......

  • nobody owns TMF

  • I wish the 13 year olds would shut up in this video.

  • I didn't know reaching over the net was allowed lol

  • It's not...

  • It is allowed if the ball has already bounced on your side of the net. Learn the rules of tennis, noob.

  • The ball was already set to land on Federer's side of the court, learn YOUR tennis noobie.

  • "If the spin or wind brings the ball back over the net to the side of the player(s) who hit the shot, the opponent(s) may then reach over the net and play the ball. They may not touch the net or the opponent's court. This is the only situation when a player may reach over the net to play a ball. If the opponent does not play the ball and it bounces on the side of the player who hit the spin shot, that player who hit that shot wins the point." - USTA

    Learn YOUR tennis, noobie.

  • Who the hell are you??? noobie.

  • LOL, you got OWNED Kayumi, you clearly know nothing about the rules of tennis, hahaha.

  • My point was who the hell is he, as are you, to come into an arguement that has nothing to do with both of you. "LOL, you got OWNED Kayumi, you clearly know nothing about the rules of tennis, hahaha." *goofy laugh*...go back to school, will ya? :)

  • Wow, dude, you really don't know how to admit when you're wrong, do you? You said that players aren't allowed to reach over the net, but they ARE allowed if the ball has already bounced on their side of the net. GoPulpFiction even quoted from the USTA rulebook, and you're still in denial. Kayumi, you are the ultimate noob.

P.S. This is a public discussion board, so I can come into any argument I want, especially when there are noobs like you who need to be corrected.

  • Hey hey hey..! Reeellllaaaxxxxxxx, I was only messing about, but yeah I already knew that. I do play tennis, y'know. :/

  • Pfft... it's too late to back-track. You got caught out saying the wrong thing, so just accept that and move on.

  • Noooooo I already knew it, so it doesn't matter ^^

  • Federer has won 14 of their 21 meetings, and has won their last 12 matches in a row.

  • let me remind you that federer has won im guessing about 18 of their 20 meetings now tell me who is owning who

  • your allowed to lean over the net and hit the ball

  • he was allowed to reach over since the backspin made the ball bounce back over the net. he is allowed to hif it as long as he doesn't touch the net at all.

  • BAM!!

  • it should have been called a foul shot on hewitt as he made contact with the ball on rogers side of the net

  • no, u can reach over. just cant touch da net

  • Errrr.....Hewitt??? What are you doing man? The ball was already set to land on Rogers side of the court, there's not need to reach over the net and sort of drop the ball down...

  • He reached over because the ball had already bounce on his side of the net and to make sure it didn't land on his side again.

  • No he didn't it was already on Federer's side...

  • Didnt he reach over the net? hahaha.

  • did it go over the net on its own

  • Hewitt got spanked 3-0

    very rare moments ;-)))

  • Hewitt won the third set. Check your sources.

  • wow..I find really hard to believe he made a set on "the God "...

Federer owns his tennis at all ,could not lose him.

    go roger !

  • u call this hewitt winning the third set?

    (federer won: 6-0, 7-6(3), 6-0)

    hmmm

  • Hmmm, open you eyes and you'll see the scoreboard says 63 76. Therefore, can it possibly be 60 76(3) 60?

Also, the match is in 2005 and in the Semis.

  • Federer won 6:3 7:6 (when federer got to 7 pts hewitt only had 3 pts) and 6:0

and this is the 2004 finals look at feds shirt... Blue + Yellow = 2004

  • Ummm, I don't wanna argue but when Federer spanked Hewitt, he gave him 2 bagels which was in the first and third set. Clearly, there is no bagel in the first set which means it cannot be 2004 final. Check any source and you'll see this is in fact the 2005 Semi. It's not that hard to understand.

  • lol okay

not a big fan of hewitt cuz hes racist :D

  • 1.you can't expect federer to win a match by dominating ALL the points.

2.if you think dominating one point = dominating the opponent, then you better go see a doctor.

  • 1.you can't expect federer to win a match by dominating ALL the points.

2.if you think dominating one point = dominating the opponent, then you better go see a doctor.

  • lol owning federer as hes down 2 sets to 0

  • hahahahahah!!!!!if only hewitt was holding a raket when the really was played he mit just hav won the piont...and wimbldon for that matter...fucking hewitt jumping around with his little outfits..

  • lol that was wicked!!

  • Nice Touch

  • Haha perfect!

  • shit video

  • if it was ilegal the judge would call.

as long as he doesn't touch the net he can do that.

  • Illegal my ass. Some people are such idiots. What's he gonna do not hit it? Federer did own that match, but that was a nice one by Lleyton.

  • i love how everyone's saying "no, it's actually a legal shot!" blah blah... who are you arguing with? everyone says it's legal... we all know!

  • he was on federers side!

  • Technically its still legal as long as it doesn't touch the net.

  • Its not iligal unless he touched the net with his racquet or body so shut up all who think it is!! check the rules

  • this shot is legal in fact, but that's about lleyton's 5 seconds of glory in that match :)

  • lol, that is true, Federer blew his ass off the court

  • cheap shot

  • Definitely not illegal. He was fine as long as he didn't touch the net reaching for it.

  • haha

  • yeah thats absolutely legal. go lleyton!

  • there's nothing illegal about this shot. it's funny how many people think they know the rules of tennis, but they don't know this. Not only is it legal, but as somebody else already stated, it was really Hewitt's only choice- he had to at least touch the ball.

  • hahahaha That was a fair shot because it landed in his court and went back to Federer's side on it's own. If Hewitt doesn't at least reach over and touch it it's Fed's point. Other than finishing past the net after a shot this is the only time you can break the plane of the net. LOL

  • wrong shit.bull shit hewitt
