  • I wish I can have theGame.

  • Man, you make this game look too easy....and it isnt.

  • I remember how frustrating some of those jumps were when enemies would pop out from just outside the screen and push you into the gap when you landed on them. Brings back memories though :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Yup, I remember thinking: "OK enough of Don, let's give a chance to another turtle", but in a while you figured that he's just unreplaceable :D p.s. sewers were the shit where your nerves were destroyed :D

  • LOL at Splinter at 07:11 "OH!"

  • and from the heavens slowy descents a bigass rat

  • A good and hard game mostly exept of his bad syncronized controls in some parts,it reminds me allot the radical rescue from game boy that it was maybe the hardest turtles game of all.

  • I owned this game as a child and I don't think I ever got any further than the dark levels, I am not sure. Very hard game for me back then (I was 6 or 7). Loved it though, especially the city levels and the bomb under water part. Saw the whole file, nice played. Dunno If I would have beaten it now, perhaps give it a go sometime ;-]

  • I just want to say that you can only walk over those platforms with missing "tiles" at for example at 5:25

  • It took me a LONG time to beat this game. It's not the hardest nes game ever, but it takes a lot of dying and skill to master. Keep Donatello alive at all costs!

  • I wish I'd had resources like this when I was a kid. Just to know where to go and what to do. In the eighties and nineties, all you had was Nintendo Power...if that. I did, but even with it, when you popped a game in for the first time you were pretty much at its mercy. I'm amazed I had the patience and skill to beat as many games as I did back then.

as for this game, the bomb defusing dam stage pretty much raped me and everyone I knew. So that was about it :/

  • as a kid, those jumps in the sewer pissed me the fuck OFF!

  • What gets me is I got as far as the first rope thing and couldn't get any farther because my original cartridge was messed up and wouldn't let me use the rope. I also had problems using the secondary weapons.

  • In 5:16 pew made it by an inch!

  • i dont get it when they fall on water they die

  • Was that Turtle Boss Slash or Metalhead?

  • I'm just sad that a lot of people hated that game, honestly when I was kid i loved it a lot. Even if it was hard for a kid, I could play lot of hours on that game retrying and retrying again.

  • I beat this game in 3 days on my 9th birthday :) Not hard, just use boomerrang and other powerful weapons. Play it like an rpg, use all the turtles wisely, and farm health = WIN!

  • I remember getting to splinter as a kid and thinking i was a badass, then i died right away

  • @LorcRezKaze66 how do you use the rope in this game on nes i have this game

  • those guys kicking look like Russian dancers

  • never been so far!

  • you can just walk right over the sewer blocks at 5:00,the ones that just have a small space between them, it make that level easier...

  • Damn Splinter. You coudn't have said "thanks for saving my ass" or something before you yelling for me to get the blimp? lol

  • who the hell was the shadow turtle and that robot thing when you had to rescue splinter?

  • The robot turtle has to be "Metal Head" from season 3...

  • That's Metal Head? I thought it was Slash.

  • @MaxxTheSlash Well, Slash was just mutant, not mechanic.

  • That turtle fighting before that robot showed up looked pretty mutant-like to me.

  • @MaxxTheSlash Oh, in that case...yeah...that is Slash most likely. :-)

  • nah, he is called Meka-Turtle. Created for the game. Obviously inspired by Metalhead though.

  • Almost lost it at 5:17 :p

  • i remember playing this lol

  • xD Haha! I love how splinter just floats down at 7:05 !

God dammit, if he can levitate, why the hell didn't he just levitate his rodent ass out of there when the goons showed up to capture him?

  • i had 6 when my mom bought that game

and the other one that are tmnt in manhattan i guess

    maann, those were happy days

i love watch the speed run

and the player is really good

i didnt reach that far xD

  • jesus christ all that work just for 5 missles

  • ok who were those two villains that were holding splinter hostage??

  • a lot of these villains were not even in the cartoon......i kinda wonder when this game was played in the arcade

  • By waching this I feel so old XD

I was 7 or 8 with that game

  • haha I hear ya

  • you should feel a bit nostalgic too. Need a tissue??

  • both were made by konami, true

  • Boss fight with I guess we are assuming Slash, definitely stole the music from Contra, granted made by the same company.

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty much the only thing they could have done to make this game harder would have been to make the levels timed.

  • Good luck making it through without stocking up on Kiai scrolls

  • How do you use the rope thing? Does it happen automatically or something?

  • Very good player...doesn't show off and does what was meant to be done.

  • era de lo mejor este juego aunq nunca pude terminarlo

  • Your pretty good dude. Hard ass game to beat.

  • Yea this game was hard but compared to karate kid or silver surfer this was easy as hell!

  • huh those enemies you beat at around 3:20 kind of resemble the boss of the Dojo stage of the Turtles arcade game for the NES. But maybe that's just the way I see it. Anyone else see the similarity(floating head)?

  • what a classic game

beat it in 2001...I was 15...felt so great

  • How do I play these games or should I just get a wii?

  • You buy a NES... and buy the games...

  • lol whatswith those german long armed men

  • I think the same man .I love playing retro games like this. By the way it´s nice to see young people who knows about Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles, good for you.Greetings from javoland.

  • This isn't a reply to me, right? The reply system on Youtube isn't working very well, often comments don't show up as replies.

  • Hey man, What is your favorite nes game? .By the way I think you are a good player.Greetings from Javoland.

  • Best game ever I played this when i was a small child whit pig nose :-)

My favorite was Mike and Leo

  • I saw Splinter hanging from the pole and thought "Is that a pig or someth...ohwaititssplinter."

  • I don't know why, maybe I went to the wrong building but I was never able to pass this section to combate for the master. IT SUCKED there was just this One Jump that always got me in the sewer that I couldn't do. Thanks for allowing me finnally see the rest of the game.

  • Terrible good work!

  • i wanna see someone finish this it with raph

  • is playing like Donatello better to play this game?

Cuz I swear to God this is the hardest game EVER!

  • what's the boss in stage 3. is it like mechaturtle or something?

  • There was an alien turtle on the old cartoon that was part robot named Slash. I always thought it was him.

  • i just make my way to the technodrome never beyond that :S

  • Is it just me, or is the hit detection REAL spotty in this game? Especially when you're using Don. And actually makes playing as Raph an even bigger pain in the ass at it already is.

  • Why didn't I think of getting in and out of the van??

  • jajajaja ohh danm it i remember this game

    i like more the 3

  • this part of the game was always my favorite because of the awesome music inside the buildings..... and the music of the street was always my favorite music of the whole game

  • this game was fricken hard!!!never beat it! will now!

  • I think the reason this game has gotten the reputation for being so hard is that most people played it as kids. It's not that hard, some annoying jumps and some hard enemies in the technodrome but that's pretty much it.

  • Aren't you using a game genie in this? Why don't you lose health against dark Leo?

  • Oh, you did, it showed up when the real boss arrived. Strange.

  • Not using a game genie, no :)

  • no he isnt cheating, if you turn around apon being attacked the enemy will hit your shell and you take no damage.. fun game though still love to play it.

  • I've owned this game forever and I never knew that you shell took no damage. Thanks dude.

  • It doesn't.

  • You saying you take damage either way.

  • well i was playing this game on an emulator and i tried that trick with the shell and for me it didnt work. now there could be a mumber of reasons for it.

  • That is incredibly insightful--I didn't know your shell actually gave you immunities.

  • I don't think it does. I tried that and it didn't work, so I figure it's probably a glitch or something.

  • That is probably just a glitch, the whole no damage from turning around after being attacked.

  • ur right cuz this game kicked my butt back then.

  • Yeah, that and some of these people probably tried playing it on an emulator which makes it a bit harder because the emulation controls arent that responsive for it but it is still a good game.

  • @laffer35 I disagree. I owned this game and it was one of the hardest NES games I played. The annoying jumps and the infamously unforgiving dam stage killed! And I'd have to say, I was a much better gamer at age 13 or 14 than I am now, so I don't think I would find it any easier today than I did back then. Well done, though - thanks for the playthrough!

  • At 2:19, if that's meant to be a rope (like most grappling hooks) why doesn't it catch on fire and send the player to their doom? lol

  • love the music haha i never got far on this game as a child o_0

  • Splinter looks like a pig with a middle-age coat in thta game lol

  • The guy who was playing this game was GOOD!

  • I found a game flaw that the Angry Nintendo Nerd forgot to mention: when your driveing around in the turtle van and a steam roller is coming at you, if you get out of the van, the steam roller disappears!! What a Joke!

  • The Turtles' walk a little like Simon Belmont, don't they? And behold the greatness of Master Splinter! Look at him magically floating down at 7:04!

  • The boss after Slash during the battle was Chrome Dome

  • I always liked the song

  • The music is the actull in game music. just to let you know. btw awesome vid

  • The gray turtle was slash.

  • was the grey turtle actually a robot?

  • What the heck? Why did we have to fight Leo to get Splinter back?

  • dude you used donatello a lot, I'm surprised you didn't got killed, I always used raph or mike to go through the stages and leo to kill the bosses, I only used don to get through extremely difficult situations

  • Great video! Thanks for posting

  • Wow cool. I could never find Splinter. I just keep falling in the sewers. Nice vids =).

  • cool music dude

  • lol Balloons with feet and wings!

  • a tiny bit sloppy in places but not that i could do better, sweet stuff dude thanks
