this was very good. the choreography was taken directly from the movie, but it looked amazing! you guys are awesome. kudos.

btw. i play Troy right now in this show. tonight is our last night of performances, so i felt the need to look of videos :P. great job!

I felt it was okay but i am doing this play at my local theatre some lines they say arent even in the script many times the girls sing they dont sing the correct notes and they are making it up how they like and it doesnt sound good they need to follow the script the males in this version is amazing i dont get why people are critcizing their costumes it doesnt matter and their choreography is much like the movie and many of the kids look like their 5 not in high school i would give it 21/2 stars

i disagree with kellztothebellz and nightninja11 . . . all the best musicals (in my opinion) are set classically, especially in terms of costume. Wicked, Les Miserables, Legally Blonde. . . . everywhere you see them theyre set in a similar fashion. . . as Munkistrap said, once something works why change it?

Because it's a stage show, not a movie. And Legally Blonde was changed extremely, the outfits ARE not exactly the same as they are in the movie, and they changed the story and everything. Yes, the outfits match the character, which they should, but they are not just the same exact clothing as in the movie. You really don't get it.

YOU GUYS, you made the show exactly like the movie! Even the outfits! That's not cool! We're making ours ORIGINAL. New dances, new looks, and WAY better singing. :)

Also, we changed the Sharpettes' names from Blossom, Violet, and Peaches to Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup! xD

you can't change anyhing in the official script or in the play unless agreed upon the original playwright or the script writer of Disney productions...

No, it IS High School Musical. It's just us being unique and original and making it even better than the original. The point of doing it on stage is that it's different and you can change it up, not to be exactly the same and just try and imitate the actors, when you clearly can't be the same as them...

I have to disagree with nightninja.. I'm playing Troy right now in High school Musical 2.. I live in Birmingham.. I also played Troy in HIgh School muiscal 1.. I know for a fact that the kids that come and see the show wanna see the movie on stage.. we have a lot of original choreography.. however.. if something works perfect once.. there's nothing wrong with using it. if it aint broke..

That's called not having any originality and playing it safe. The kids who came to see our musical ended up liking it better, because we had more complicated dancing, casted people based on their talent, not if they just looked like the characters, and the clothes were cuter than in the movie, thanks to our lovely costume designers. And I know they liked it better because our drama camp kids said they did and wished we taped it.

The whole point on shows is to MAKE IT YOUR OWN. Costuming, choreography, and the characters even. It's like you guys just watched the movie and copied. Two words

@pblproduction actually, the stage version of hsm 2 has a different script than the movie, some of the lines are similar but mostly different, and the music is different too, so they didn't change it on their own, it was already like that. I'm not trying to start some fight or something, I was just letting you know. :D

yes, i agree that it's more fun to have origional moves, it makes even more fun of the original movie with more exagerations. but i will say this was very good

Only the schools were test companies. This was a professional production.

This was done by a community theatre. The production was done so well and the kids were so talented that it is often mistaken for a professional production. No one was paid and no lives were lost in the making of this show!
