@maniksk8 In the right setting, temp etc. It would not take long at all to get those numbers. Average litter is usually around 12 pups. Each rat will have a litter every 30-40 days. Breeding size about a month and half or so...
@ReptileKreations17 The wires you seen are actually hose, for the watering system. Look at Lowes if you have one near you for tubs, they have two types of concrete tubs available, but make sure you stick with one type cause they are different sized by about .5". Any other questions just ask I'll try to answer.
If they get a "chew point" they will be able to. I use different tubs for my mice being they are so much smaller, it works better in smaller tubs to keep more mice in a rack and makes life easy for them to get to the water/food. For rats in this style of tub I pop rivet a piece of metal over the nail holes in the tubs and make sure the tubs fit tight to the wire tops. That way there are no places they can start a chew point.
Hey thanks much, I've stopped producing rats all together but wanted to get these up before the racks went. Figured it might help others in developing them.
definetly, you did a great job, those are the same kind im building in a few days for my rodents. i used to produce a couple 1000 a month but dropped down since it was costing more than feeding my boas, lol now im going way way up to feed my medium size collection and to supply retail petstores,

@maniksk8 Sorry for the delay. It will take you a while to get there. Say 6 months, thats just off the top of my head.
