* - don't get me wrong, he's an all-time great and an utter genius who's as relevant now as when he was alive... but the material we usually get to see is a bit samey after a while. Pure genuis, but not enough of it - such is the price of dying young though. Come back Bill! We need you again!

great example of hicks as straight-up entertainer, tailoring his material for his audience. no politics, nothing too existential, just sex and getting loaded. good clean...er, filthy fun. BUT he has been doing comedy since he was 13, he didnt release Dangerous (first album) until he was around 18+ And what do you think type of jokes would little Bill have made? If you like him, youve seen some of those same (or enhanced versions of) routines.... but with Bill being a grown man..but what else would a 13-18 year old make jokes about?

I seriously doubt he would have had a fucking youtube page. Although he toured endlessly, he wasn't for the fame. He spent years doing fucking dives in podunk hellholes 300 days a year. He did comedy because he loved his job, not because of any bullshit aspiration to be famous.
