Joining the ACF was one of the best decisions of my life I'm only a recruit at the moment. I encourage more girls to join I'm 1 of 4 in my detachment and there's 25 boys- kinda out numbered! But girls be prepared to give up your make up! :j

The army Cadet Force IS good, but ofcourse, you Do have to go to REGULAR sessions every week, And you will Learn alot. ' Only Rarely will you go out and about like so. - The annual camp, every year, 7 days away, is the main ONE, IT is not like this all the time.

I was in the air cadets for 1 year and left I still had not been shooting or flying and never got tested to move up. I am now in army cadets its been a year ive been shooting and obtained a marksman and moved up to one star and will be moving up again after annual and im telling you army cadets are better than air cadets in many diffrent ways so what if you get to fly a plane we stay out in the field for days on end when I was in air cadets i was in the field for 1day we never even got rifles.

If you want to join the ACF, GO FOR IT! I joined when I was 14 and I'm now 17. I wish I joined earlier! It will become one of the biggest parts and best parts of your life, I can guarantee you.

There's tonnes to do in the ACF, but the best thing is you get to do things you wouldn't normally do.

You don't have to join the Army afterwards, but many (including myself) will

Well I am a sergeant in ACF and have never done a fair bit of all that stuff... There was a guy on a motorcross bike(I have never met anyone in ACF who's had that opportunity)!!! Anyway im only 16 and reached sergrant so if you work hard you will achieve good things. I should be a staff serg in a month or two :D

But when I see vids of the UK Army Cadet Force, your like all running around in the bush with guns, we do fieldcraft but not with guns. How come you guys are allowed guns on fieldcraft exercises?
