Now this is i assume referring to powerful people in government, however what if we are just talking about powerful people, such as Billionaires?
If these powerful people don't need to listen to the masses, then what effect does that put upon a free society?
But in a capitalist system where money makes more money, over a long enough time period, surely power will centralize to the few, power corrupts and then the whole system corrupts.
