Oh my goodness, the drawing of Andy is wonderful!! When I see artists like you I'm just amazed. Beautiful work Gary!! I also love Mad Scientist! It's not the same, but due to the Beatles it reminds me of Roland Orzabal's Schrodinger's Cat. My fav band is TFF, and especially their Everybody Loves A Happy Ending cd ... very Beatlesque.

Thank you!! I need to do more sketching too. And what a great way to combine my YT love with art. I started running again this week too. The slow thaw is finally beginning to happen. And if I feel too lazy to go to the gym (like tonight) I allow myself to go running instead. Tonight I should run about 4 miles when all is said and done! :)

I haven't run since my second son was born. I'd be lucky if I walked 4 miles. Running is a chore.  If it would warm up I'd get the kayak out instead. That doesn't do much for the thighs though ;)

Running really is hard. I've slowly worked up to it. Even though it's thawing out right now, and I just got home with completely wet feet, it feels great to feel the sunlight on my face! :)

Kayaking sounds much more relaxing though! :)

I'm glad you liked it Andy. I'm never sure what ppl think when they see a drawing of themselves. I always do my best to capture their prescence AND personality...and with this one I think I got it.

I'm glad you liked the music. I actually had composed this one about a year ago, trying to emulate the "Revolution 9" vibe....Once I got to the editing part of this video and was looking for original music, and knowing our common Beatles connection, the choice seemed quite fitting.

Thanks Ken! Adding this to the TubeArts challenge was actually a last minute thing I did this morning (1/2 a day after the video was posted) by the suggestion of one of my subs. All i had to do was change the title, and tweek my description a bit. It seems very fitting to do something like this ABOUT the vloggerhood but with my own art and music. I'm not really in this to win it; I just want to contribute to the cause. And dammit, we need an art category!

Well thank you! When it comes to music creation, I am quite the novice. I have a feeling this experimental piece WON'T be for everybody as it really is a bit out there. But I kind of thought to myself, why not?! I'd rather have ppl think it was so-so and still mine vs. using the other non-copyrighted stuff (which is quite good) but that EVERYBODY uses.

Novice or not, you know how much you tend to fall in love with a piece of music when you're roughing out the idea for a video in your head. I guess it's then just a case of having a medium to get it out into the world. If steering clear of Incompetech leads to this level of creativity, then it's a great leap forward for you!

Creating things is done for your own benefit. If other people happen to like them, then it's a bonus.

To me, making the music (even though I'm just piecing together loops and samples) is as much a form of expression as is the drawing itself. So I guess putting both of those elements together is about as personal as it gets! :)
