2006? thats like a million years ago.....

why are ppl crying over spilled milk?

    FOCUS ON THE FUTURE!!!!

  • HKichen-why are you so persistent with your bragging? He shut his mouth up long time ago and you are still talking cock to him.

  • Doomed, singapore is doomed. Or atleast singaporeans are.

  • Nature creates ability; luck provides it with opportunity.

  • I accidentally disliked this video... Because I hate his speech.

  • PAP YOU GO DO BLOWJOB LA CHEEBYE

  • @HKichen Did you mention Male Singaporeans are suppose to serve 2 years in army and serve reservice for another few years and the employers are suppose to give mantory leave for that person. (or that poor chap is going to fork it out with his own paid/unpaid leave)

It is pretty sad to see 9/10 people in my company working are foreigners and I felt like a foreigner instead of them in my own country.

  • @jeremy84sg

I wanted to mention all these but there is too much to say.

It is a long list of why FTs should get out of Singapore.

One of which is all the good jobs are going to FTs.

Btw, I am sympathetic to male Singaporeans as they have to go through 2 years of hell.

Thank you for your sacrifice of time & effort.

But I doubt that the govt even expressed that thanks...

  • The PAP deems foreigners more useful than Singaporeans. It is so obvious!

You give them priority over us! Why must you whore over them?

If you are going to fawn over the "greener side" we aren't so foolish as to let you do so.

Are we not good enough for you? Then please GET OUT OF OUR GOVT.

Of course you will not listen cause being as greedy as you are it is unlikely for u to do so.

  • To be successful in Singapore you need a substantial amount of money to invest in yourself.

By now you should have known that. And besides, isn't that what PAP wants?

Overpay themselves and keep the people living so they can make use of them. How, tell me, is that not evil?

  • With all do respect. The liberty of choice depends on the alternatives at hand. If not PAP, who or what is a credible alternative in Singapore for PAP? Surely, PAP never sold themselves as communists, did they?

  • @weissman2000 @weissman2000 PAP used to stand for something good. Now they have forgotten their roots and avarice/greed has taken over. That explains why they love foreign trash.

They don't see the finer things in life that count.

Not even national pride. You know that they tried/attempted to get rid of Singlish?! de 1 thing Singaporeans can recognize?

Why? Cause foreigners didn't understand it.

In OUR country, foreigner adapt to us, not the other way around!

  • @HKichen

I read your frustration and see your position. Given Singapore's history, I must say that I find the words of "foreign trash" and "foreigners" a bit strange if not awkward. As my understanding of Singapore is an internationally oriented island nation with export as its main source of income, I must say that abolishing Singlish in favour of English is a blessing rather than a curse. Finally, European well-fare states are all failures. Should Singapore follow?

  • @weissman2000 It is no longer strange. Last time was last time. If what you say is true, might as well as we bother to call ourselves Singaporeans and get rid of the pick ics and passports.

Abolishing Singlish is equivalent of us ACCOMMODATING to THEIR needs.

Have you heard sth as ridiculous as this? Which place, tell me, adapts their culture to fit OUTSIDERS?

  • @weissman2000 I never said welfare states was the answer. I am not advocating for a "Sit back and Wait" society.

HOWEVER, the govt should stop being such a HYPOCRITE on their policies.

-e.g. They in place CPF and yet they keep raising the age requirements, isn't that unfair?

-Their policies are literally begging for FT to come here. This also sidelines us Singaporeans too.

-Their smugness is intolerable and they should stop extol themselves. Only FT would like them.

    Must I go on?

  • @weissman2000 My frustration stems from the sheer stupidity that I see from my POV.

Don't misunderstand and think I am from a poor family. Oh no, that's simply incorrect. My family is well-off.

    But hypocrisy is not acceptable.

At least when it comes to sth as important as how a country operates, yes, it should not be accepted.

  • @HKichen

Hihi, I dedicate my free time to expose hypocrisy and stupidity. Can you help me to understand a bit better of this "hypocrisy" that you refer to? On Bloomberg I saw an article about the dimming star of Singapore as the divide between the wealthy and the less fortunate is widening. But the first rule of economics is that there is never enough resources for all. Social hierarchy is fact and reality.

Lastly, would your POV be less valid had you been from a poor family? Hopefully not....

  • @weissman2000 Hahaha :D I am not poor I assure you. :) People don't believe judgement is fair when it comes from a biased perspective. Had I been poor, I probably would be seen as a bitter bitch who is poor and blames the govt for it, correct?

  • @weissman2000

Hypocrisy is when who do the exact opposite of what you claim to do.

The government demonstrates this in many ways.

For e.g. Having TOO MUCH FT in our country.

Do they honestly believe that these FT will stay because of patriotism? their motive is $

This worsens INFLATION. Study economics and wise up.

  • @HKichen

Moreover, I m a bit puzzled whether you understand the word "inflation". In one of your emotional exposition you said:"....For e.g. Having TOO MUCH FT in our country. Do they honestly believe that these FT will stay because of patriotism? their motive is $. This worsens INFLATION. Study economics and wise up." Assuming FT stands for "foreign trash", it seems that your logics claim that low wage FT workers drive up the local prices? A bit harsh criticism for the weak, isn't it?

  • @weissman2000

Hey idiot, inflation is drive by too many $ after too many goods.

Having more people in Singapore, what do you think?

Obviously, there would be more need for housing, food, transport etc.

Naturally, prices will rise due to increases in AD (total demand)

LEARN ECONOMICS I AM NOT SO NICE AS TO SPOON-FEED YOU INFORMATION.

  • @HKichen

Calling you a moron is an insult to all the morons in this world!

If you know what drives inflation, then should the government set a minimum wage to increase labour costs?

If you are smart, then you sure have a talent hiding it! Hahahahaha.........

  • @weissman2000 HEy, welcome me back I just completed my Olevels! :D

Anyway smartass, do you know the composition of the inflation?

Most of it is attributed by housing and transport...

That means it is NOT goods and services that are the main concern here!

Housing prices are controlled by the govt as they allowed it to be that way. Do you know that their excuse for keeping prices high is so that current houseowners will not lose out. So newlyweds don't matter?

Transport is thanks to SBS and SMRT

  • @weissman2000

Hey genius, take effort to read up and know how inflation is tabulated.

It is not merely goods and services smartass. :D

  • @weissman2000

Another thing, did you know that SG had NO minimum wage?

Do they want to drive Singaporeans to the poor house?

Tell me, which employer wants to pay more for labour?

FT have an unfair advantage being

-Their COL is lower in their hometown. They can simply get lots of money here and go home a rich man.

-Employers are not mandated to pay a 20% extra (Singaporean labour need CPF payment)

Employers are deterred from hiring Singapore labour as they have to shell out another 20% of $.

  • @weissman2000

How is this advantageous to Singaporeans?

How is inflation and the aforementioned things helpful towards Singaporeans?

If you can beat my logic, I salute you. ;-D

  • @HKichen

Just to hit the ball into the back of the net: I believe you are saying "Singpore is for Singaporians, get out FT", right? Needless to say what kind of emotions your view may stir up and it's not pretty! Given Singapore is still a exporting economy of manufactured goods: the price must be right, the existence of the economy is vital and thus advantageous to every Singaporian. Hence, in the bigger picture, your view is limited in bennefiting all. Consequently it must be rejected!

  • @weissman2000

Hahaha, don't be stupid. FT can come in, just not in the swarming throngs that the government so happily floods the place. You know that Singaporeans in singapore are only about 2.2 million.

Our population size is a whooping 6 million.

Even if Singapore is an exporting country, it need not rely so much on foreign workers.

What link is there? How is it that foreigners are cheaper to begin with?

    Your argument assumes too much.

    *continuing my argument

  • @weissman2000

If you say FT are cheaper, you must look at WHY.

WHY? Because of our HIGH COST OF LIVING.

Many FTs come here because our money is manifold times more in their own currency.

Are you saying it is Singaporeans fault for asking for a higher salary than an FT?

Sorry man, but that is just wrong.

FTs have unfair advantages such as

    - no CPF (firms more willing to hire 4 cheaper) -Lower cost of living

    -No family obligations here

WHY HIGH COST OF LIVING? Well, you should ask the govt.

  • @weissman2000 Yes, social hierarchy I understand.

But another role of the ROLE OF GOVERNMENT is to reduce the disparity of the rich and the poor, is it not?

How are the govt policies in place are addressing this role? :D

    More like the opposite!

You know, property prices are through the roof right?

Whose failure was it to ensure that it remained affordable. You guessed it! PAP lah.

They ALLOWED FT to inflate the market.

Thanks to them, future generation are going to be weighed down with debt.

  • @weissman2000 Oh sorry if I fed you the wrong info about the CPF.

According to my SS textbook, the employer is mandated to contribute 13% of the person's income in a Singaporean worker's CPF.

I am NOT making this up. Ask Curriculum Planning & Development Division, MOE, Singapore if you don't believe me.

  • @HKichen

hmmm....clearly I hit a nerve somewhere. But just to reply on your condescending remark of "study economics and wise up", I must say your comments are just one big paradox. Firstly, you talk about foreigners stealing jobs while keeping the wage down. These foreigners have a more competitive edge because they don't live in Singapore and don't collect pension scheme. Then, you talk about foreigners inflate the housing market in Singapore. Curious logic.

  • @weissman2000

    Don't worry about offending me.

    I am not easily offended.

There is no paradox in my comments, it is simply due to the fact that

you lack the knowledge to understand what I am saying.

It is like I said "Study economics & wise up"

Do it. Then you can stop trying to fail at arguing with me.

Maybe by then you would join me in. You would finally see the "light" of this whole situation.

    going against the PAP.

  • @HKichen

Hmmm, after a week you sound like a holy man preaching a religion. Maybe when you understand what "economics" entails, you might see your wrongs. It takes a man of great wisdom to admit to his imperfections, of course, a women may lack that ability as rational logical argumentation is inherently absent in a women! Hysteria full of paradox is often the norm. Thank you for proving that!

  • @weissman2000

Religion or no religion has no bearing whatsoever.

This is a fact that many Singaporeans live hand-to-mouth.

You have simply brushed me off with poor excuses of reasons why the PAP is good.

Instead of proofing, you simply talk about my manners!

I have plenty of instances of how the PAP is bad.

Yet many people like you refuse to see the truth.

That's understandable since you have been brainwashed by the PAP throughout your lifetime.

People like you, simply cannot understand.

  • @weissman2000

I admitted that not all FT have to get out. I prefer FTs who do the jobs Singaporeans don't want, that I accept.

Plus, it is as if your argument is rock solid.Hardly when you spend half the time talking about my manners.

If you want to prove a point, back it up with evidence.

Let's end the one-sided argument. It is clear you have no good evidence to support any claim that PAP is good. There is no point to argue with a man who refuses to see his own imperfections. look @ yourself.

  • @HKichen

Haha, I am not the one who sounds like a fascist wannabe with a condescending tone. You have to be blind NOT to see what PAP has done for Singapore. Even a blind person can taste the fruits that PAP has given Singapore. Given the fact that PAP was the ruling party in Singapore for more than four decades should be obvious to a person from a "well-off" Singaporean family. Unless you are accusing PAP of stuffing the ballot boxes, I suggest you to take it easy: your behaviour is unhealthy!

  • @weissman2000 There are more than 1 way to sneak in unfair advantages.

Be creative & I'm sure u will be able to come up with some. Oh wait, maybe u have none.

U give PAP too much credit for everything.

U make it sound like >50% of the work was theirs. It takes 2 hands to clap as u should already know.

We Singaporeans had to bear with their ludicrous policies for them to be proud of anything! If it weren't for us, there is nothing to brag about. Our blood & tears went into everything we have.

  • @HKichen

    Wow, how creative are you!

BS walks, result talks. Obviously you lack the intelligence to understand what I am talking about. Go ahead and be who you are. The Italian fascists didn't end well, the German Nazis suffered the same fate. See the trend?

Be generous to others in order to receive generosity. Do not do to others things you do not desire yourself! Learn to live and let live. Be prosperous in humility.

  • @weissman2000

Hey genius, I am from a premier autonomous school in Singapore.

That means, the PAP government thinks that my intelligence is quite high.

If I am as stupid as u think, I would never have made it this far.

What lousy neighbourhood school you went to?

  • @weissman2000 Just so you know, I got L1R5 Raw Score of 7.

    My english is A1.

I simply wanted to brag to you. :)

  • in 'the business times weekend edition of nov 7-8, 2009', this pm lhl said 'many opportunities for ( singapore-born ) grads who return home' can fulfil their dreams in singapore.,

in truth today many discovered they returned to a nightmare that their 'opportunities' were all usurped by his pap government in favour of foreigners some of whom stole away singaporeans' jobs with fake degrees, et.al .

many of these foreigners were even heavily subsidised for housing, tuition fees etc.

  • @alyuful You are totally correct, my good sir! :D Join me in the roast of PAP.

Hopefully, it will come some time soon.

  • this man's 'sorry' is not genuine in ge 2011.

no sooner did he say 'sorry' did he break his promises all over and over again.

this is barely within 3 months after the ge 2011.

  • Thieves

  • U ask the same thing, that's why I told u the same thing oso. There are people not from the PAP do make sure that they did not corrupt just like the ex-Taiwan President did. So their salary are on watch, make sure they won't take the government salary and use it in their family.

Yes,I agree that they should not earn too much. But at least they never neglected the needy by giving them help. I told u this liao.

  • @abc8437 Their "attention" that they give to the poor, in my perspective is pathetic. Really.

Yeah, you told me "liao" but you obviously don't see the point that their help can barely meet what they truly need in life to be a success. How can Singapore claim that it is meritocratic when much of your future depends on your parents' income? Please, this is a joke, a really bad joke. (What a blatant lie the govt is to say they have done ENOUGH) please really? Education so bad need to rely on tutors

  • @HKichen Is in your perspective only. Not the poor perspective. How pathetic?

Qn : Don't give them food to eat?

Ans : They give them voucher to buy food.

What they need the government had give them liao except for those WANT.

NEEDS : Things that need to have to live (eg. food, housing)

WANTS : Things that don't need also can live. But not a luxury life.

Since they are poor liao, that is confirm that they probably won't have a luxury life. Have Mercedes Car? Condominium to live?

  • @abc8437 THEIR HELP IS PATHETIC AND INSUFFICIENT. INSUFFICIENT = BAD BAD BAD

Which part do you not get? I noted ur bloody point but it is inconclusive as it such a miniscule effort on the govt.

For the last time, to be successful in SG YOU NEED MONEY. Why you think almost all RJC/RI/RGS ppl are all majority from extremely well-off families? Did you know that? Or are you that dumb? I am just being honest here as your arguments hold little water.

  • @HKichen Who say INSUFFICIENT? INSUFFICIENT is you ownself say one. Have you ever see if the poor did not have a single money to buy food to eat,and the government still don't care? If really there is then you can sue the government. I never say all RJC/RI/RGS ppl are well-off families.

SUMMARY : THE GOVERNMENT HAD GIVE THE POOR THE THINGS THAT THEY NEED IN ORDER TO LIVE.

    That's all.

  • @abc8437 ignorant as can be

  • @abc8437 GO TO w w w.p h y s i c s . c o m .s g / n e ws.htm

Go there and see the light or at least have some damn awareness of what the real state of affairs in SG.

This govt ain't perfect. In fact, far from it. They simply replace corruption with overpaying themselves publicly. They also give a shitty education that if u want to make sth good out of urself, you ought to pay through the nose for multiple tutors. (Where you think KIASU comes from? It was caused by the stupid govt policies)

  • @HKichen Did you know that not all sources all reliable. For example ONLY,some site say the population in Singapore is 4 million plus and some say is 5 million population plus up to date. You must know which people say is reliable.

  • @abc8437 I am quoting from ChannelNewsAsia, do you have better stats? Regardless, we have enough of foreigners taking advantage of our land. Probably sth you will never understand since you are a bootlicker of the PAP govt.

  • @HKichen - stupid oppostion ball sucker, oppostion is good? SCREW YOU. think they can do a better job? SCREW YOU, got it. want to vote for the oppostion ? SCREW YOU

  • @rockyboy467 I did not stick my neck out for the opposition. I simply saw INJUSTICE in what the PAP did.

That was enough of an incentive to HATE PAP.

  • Comment removed

  • @HKichen The physics.com.sg webiste is not reliable want lol. Anybody can create a own story

  • @abc8437 Oh as if PAP site is any better PAP.

:P Any disgusting govt can do the same.

And obviously, you will forever be a lacky for PAP. I wonder if you get paid to shine their shoes.

Some ppl like you are beyond help. Tsk tsk.

So naive and so stupid ppl like you are. Believing in what is a lie all this while.

There is nothing more we can discuss as you are beyond redemption.

  • Jobs, Jobs and Blowjobs.

  • I believe that in future, more and more MNC will go to setup their asia base in china, not singapore,Current singaporean youth are no longer hard working any more, that is dangerous,if singapore does not have great people, what will it have?in mordern world, location is not they key factor any more comparing with market, labour source and profit.

  • the job goes to foreigners is because no singaporeans want to do.

  • do something for your peoples to handle your POWERS and stand strongly with FOLKS.

or do something more and more to lose what you handing.

most of folks have no much thing to be lost any more.

    you got choices.

  • bunch of pathetic armchair critic. u guys only talk and make baseless comment, i bet most of you are lazy and self pity.. that is why the foreign are taking over.

  • hey guys, do search for ' A song for Nicole Seah ' many thanks!

  • Lousy leader!

  • Long Live Singapore !!! Hope you do a better job this time Sir.

  • 疯狂的猴子说废话。请退出。新加坡人真的不喜欢你和你疯狂的政策。哑螺母 !

  • Here is the HONEST MISTAKE man! wooo hooO! hahaha!

  • We, normal Singaporeans, spend majority of our life paying for housing while Members of Government can easily get it few Landed houses with their annual pay plus bonus....

  • You are ALL disgusting....

Faces of all liars. How gross....

Overpaying yourselves when you do so very little is the equivalent of misusage of taxpayers' money. Should you get jailed for it? NO. You have enough cronies to CYA (cover your asses). I hope WP shows you down and wipe that disgusting arrogant smug of yours off.

Singaporeans who still believe in PAP I think are either very stupid or just in denial. The success we have is due to our great location, not because of PAP.

  • @HKichen PAP is a political party which serves its OWN interests. What makes you think they want us to have freedom when they are more than happy to hog the cookie jar? Helping themselves to higher pay?! Why not I be as greedy and disgusting and simply hop on the bandwagon of bandits in broad daylight?

  • @HKichen dont agree that the success is due to the location.... Indonesia have lots of island next to singapore, for example batam, but the economic there is very bad, the place is not well developed.

  • @ArekKaya

I forgot to mention that SG has something else that other places don't have. Since we have hardly any rivers that have HIGH erosion, this has allowed Singapore to have DEEP waters for big boats to dock and come to port in Singapore. Other countries have to dig up the sediments on the sea floor on a regular basis to make it less shallow to allow ships in. This process is called Dredging which is expensive by most standards.

  • @ArekKaya By the way, since Singapore has so little unlike batam and Indonesia which are swimming in natural resources. I figure that with little natural resources and land, you have little room to finagle/connive your way to cheat the people of their money. It is pretty obvious as if you do corruption in SG, we will have absolutely nothing. Well, at least being a human capital based country is not all bad even though the most of us suffer/slog for our ricebowl.

  • @HKichen this is their salary. the problem lies with PAP is that they earn too much compare to other country. but they didn't cheat our money. they just charge tax high only

  • @abc8437 Misusage of funds = "cheating" our money

It is just how you perceive it to be. But one thing is for sure, we are footing the bill.

@Mofomoffin, you couldn't be more accurate. Spot on, my man.

  • @HKichen they are doing the right thing. what misusage?

  • @abc8437 Misusage is paying themselves so well for so little work on their part.

And you are wrong my friend, there are plenty of HIGH PAYING JOBS going to ang mohs/PRC ppl etc. WHY? Cause PAP ask them to

PAP obviously does not care whether Singaporeans suffer or not/whether we want to emigrate or not, they just want more foreigners for more economic growth to give themselves bigger/fatter bonuses at the end of the year.

Is my logic flawed? No, not really. For Greed, PAP will do anything.

  • @HKichen Did u noe that is we Singaporeans ownself don't want to do the job. If Singaporeans want to do then the foreigners will be kick out. If Singaporeans do the same job, then same amount of salary will be given to Singaporeans as well. Is Singaporeans ownself dun want to do,so who to blame? Only we all Singaporeans to blame. Didn't u noe that Ministry of Manpower will make sure that the first to fired is the foreigners if Singaporeans want to do the job and the vacancies is full.

  • @HKichen PAP only overpaying themselves, but they never misusage. For example,if we buy a thing and pay for 7% GST,we noe that the 7% GST will go to the government salary. Since is the government salary, they can use it for Singapore development. But for the Taiwan Ex-President Chen Shiu Bian, people pay for the GST and the GST go to government salary. But Chen Shiu Bian take the money and use it not for country development but use it for his family. This is called corruption, and this is miusage

  • @HKichen those who believe in WP are stupid idiot. Did u noe that the ex-worker's paty is labour front and labour front don't even help singapore transform from colonial rule to urban area. so did they help singapore a lot. u ask those ppl that have more experience than u,i think they will noe wat PAP had done for singapore.

  • @abc8437 Haha, my friend. There is more than meets the eye. Obviously, PAP, like any political body, ALWAYS act in self interest. Why would WP/LF should bother to help their cause? Same for PAP, do you honestly believe that they will help WP/LF to boost their own causes? NO, that will never happen.

PAP is riding on the fact that they were the ONLY unquestioned leaders of this country. This was due to the fact that the poor have little say and man, were there lots of poor ppl in the 1960s.

  • @HKichen Why u think that PAP won't help. U r just simply bias against PAP. If the LF will really do a good job, then why they still leave Singapore to bleed and die.

  • @abc8437 Don't be stupid. PAP IS NOT LETTING WP DO WHAT IS REQUIRED ANYWAY. Most of the constituencies are controlled by PAP. If you are unhappy, you should hate PAP for it. :)

  • @HKichen Don't think PAP won most of the constituencies means PAP not letting WP do what is required. And u should know why PAP won most of the seats if u r a Singaporeans.

  • @abc8437 Biased? Me? Not really, I am just seeing what PAP for done for singaporeans

    1) Increased Cost of Living

    2) Increased Competition for Jobs due to foreign talents or should I say fake talents

    3) Making life hard for Singaporeans (They claim it is necessary yet income gap is increasing)

Many other bad decisions they made...tsk tsk...

If you are interested, find out for yourself. I will not spoon feed you further.

  • @HKichen As I say

    1) Increased Cost of Living - ppl can apply for financial help

    2) Increased Competition for Jobs due to foreign talents or should I say fake talents - is Singaporeans ownself dun wan to do the job. And they will fired the foreigner if Singaporean wants to do.

    3) Making life hard for Singaporeans (They claim it is necessary yet income gap is increasing) - ppl can apply for financial help oso.

Can this problem be solve? Yes,those are the way.

  • @abc8437

    1) Financial help - To what extent may I ask? :-) Elaborate and prove that there is plenty of help. If so, then why do temples have to pay out of their own pockets to give free food? What does the govt do? Sit on their fat asses and stay ignorant?

    2) This point does not apply to ALL jobs, yes? Many good, well-paying jobs are going to many foreigners. The government tries to say that unemployment has fallen. but the jobs that Singaporeans are being employed in can barely meet the COL

  • @HKichen 1) As long as the people will not starve to death. Government do give them voucher to buy food. As the voucher they give, they will make sure is enough. Government will make sure that they will not starve to death. So what's wrong?

    2) I already said those well-paying jobs,Singaporean don't want to do. If Singaporean don't want to do,then who do? If ask foreigner do then,Singaporean will complain. Den how?

  • @abc8437

    3) Really? You simply brush off the issue, saying that " Ya ya the govt is doing sth about it"

Clearly, they are NOT. You don't even have any proof whatsoever/example to quote. Govt treat FT almost the same as SG ppl. FT have the advantage of having no need for employer to pay them 15% CPF contribution (SG ppl need as govt made it compulsory) AND their COL back home is less than what we have here AND they have no family obligations. (can you blame SG ppl for being less dedicated?)

  • @HKichen u can go to Community Development Council (CDC) to apply for financial help if u say i no proof. Have u wonder why a NTUC voucher is for. And it is for the low income people. U dun even noe what is CPF and come here and bull shit. CPF money are from the part of the person's monthly salary, the person can get CPF money once they retire. And not a single of the person's CPF money are given to governement. If a person accumulate $200,000 in total den the person get back $200,000 once retire

  • @abc8437 NTUC voucher? Pfft. FYI, they make it up in other ways like having pricier items as compared to other brands of supermarkets. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself. The newspapers said it some time ago. And you know that NTUC is a governmentally run body (or at least when it first started), right? They are still using tax payers money for goods that are sold for profit.

CDC financial help? ELABORATE CLEARLY that is is SIGNIFICANT enough for me to consider it as a valid point.

  • @HKichen Hey sorry la. The tax we pay is go to government salary. This is the rule, just like other country oso. So what's wrong? NTUC is only a partner of government but not totally government control. The secretary-general is PAP member but his secretary-general role is not a role of government. The secretary-general had two jobs, one is be government and one is be secretary-general. His government salary cannot use it for his secretary-general job for buying goods. For ur info.

  • @abc8437 Wow. What you say is a total repeat of George Orwell Book Animal Farm. Keep them alive on the bear minimum and keep the rest for themselves. How noble.

Oh really? What proof do you have to say that " His government salary cannot use it for his secretary-general job for buying goods." The salient point is that he has been overpaid. Which part do you not get? Or do you normally earn millions a year? You get bonuses equivalent of more than 1 year's of work? Really? That's hard to believe.

  • @abc8437 Oh I know about CPF :) it is in the textbook. It states that "Employers have to pay SINGAPOREANS 13% to their CPF per month"

IF YOU WERE AN EMPLOYER, wouldn't you love to save cost? FT don't need to have this mandatory requirement. This is a disincentive for employers to HIRE them at all.

Some money is better than NO money.

Get my drift? Don't talk about CPF when you don't even have a job! :D

  • @HKichen For your info,we can choose to put how much in the CPF. U will noe if u are a boss as u need to help ur employee to put into their CPF account. As for ur textbook info, the things had changed.

  • @abc8437 Then why is there a need for an age requirement in the first place?

For all you know, it could be a PONZI scheme. I mean, even if they lost money after invested our money, they can say nope we won't let you withdraw anything until you hit __years old. Just make sure you have enough dough coming in and you won't get caught.

    How convenient, isn't it?

Since CPF is government controlled, there is no way I can be sure if this is true or not. Neither can u prove that this possibility is 0.

  • @abc8437 Cmon if they gave out a significant no. of vouchers, then why ppl still need to get free food from temple? (It is crowded plus the food is nothing great. I smelt the vegetable stew. ew)

NTUC probably stingy and profit oriented, just like all the other policies/organizations that the govt has set up. NGOs are NGOs. They are doing the REAL charity work. I've seen it and volunteered myself. But sadly, I have yet to see any true genuine help from this PAP govt. How utterly disappointing.

  • @HKichen People they get food from temple is because is near their house compared to NTUC,they need to travel a long distance. How u noe the PAP never help? U didn't even noe PAP do help them.

  • @abc8437 Ha. Just look at the urban poor and it is clear the help is barely what SG is capable of. If they can make Sentosa real estate to be worth multi-millions, why can't they do more to help? Greedy duh

Try living on PAP for financial help. I will give a good laugh seeing you struggle. One of my uncles (whom were not so lucky as my dad) had to ask for financial help from my dad. Why would he need to do so if the PAP was so effective with their pathetic measures to help the poor?

  • @HKichen PAP will help does low-income families. Your uncle oso can go for help if he had low salary.

  • @HKichen I admit that they should let people take their money even if they have not reach 55 years old. If they really need money before 55 years old, they can apply for financial help. As i say, financial help means give voucher, electricity bill rebate until they can afford. Since the people have food to eat, water to drink, electric bill rebate, water bill rebate, place to live. So is their life come out with problem?

  • @HKichen u can go to polyclinic to see all the charges for singapore citizens, permanent residents and foreigners. Are they all the same? No. Singapore citizens pay the least, followed by permanent residents and foreigners

  • @abc8437 We know LOTS of things that PAP has done. But it was not for free, so I see no reason why we should feel grateful. They should be grateful to US for listening to their policies.

Moreover, PAP recently has fucked Singaporeans up by imposing some very idiotic policies. Like the foreigner immigration policy. Only after the GE did PAP wake up a little and clamp down on the issuing of passes for immigrants to come here to work. Must send PAP a strong message to smell the coffee

  • @abc8437 I wonder, are you truly aware of the sacrifices Singaporean make to fit the policies of PAP? If you knew better, you would know that many are struggling to make ends meet.

You probably never chi ku (eat hardship) and do not understand. There is no substitute for experience.

Though I am a upper-middle class 16 yr old girl, I know and feel the pain people in Singapore go through. Some are really nice people that deserve better lives than they have now.

  • @HKichen How can you only say negative things about PAP? If you really do,then u r juz bias against PAP. And u r more likely helping the WP. PAP will help those people who know they are facing problem. I think u r aware of this. If they are poor, they can go CDC to apply for financial help. If they refuse to help, den start to complain. It's ok. Did u know that many people had apply for this help.

  • @HKichen Workers Party Huat Ah Huat! (Y)

  • @boon933 If u say Worker's Party Huat. Then give me your reason?

  • @HKichen

  • @Williamho19810214 Anything you would like to add? :)

  • @HKichen PAP AND FOREIGNERS SHOULD GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY

  • @bachak1 Correct, good sir. It is very sad that another PAP's bootlicker got voted in as president on saturday. It was a sad sad sunday, it was so cloudy. Perhaps it is an omen for what shitty times we have ahead of us.

  • @HKichen It was not exactly bad, it was actually a warning to the PAP members, Mr Tony tan was only able attain 35% of the nation's entire votes. This is a huge setback for the PAP members, as most of the votes were given to the opposition. This would make the PAP more wary about what they should do in the future, I can't wait for the next Election, it is going to be different this time round.

  • @nooberlishes Bad enough that only about 30% are against PAP. 70% still believe that the PAP will help us.

I am looking forward to the next election as by then, I hit 21! I can then vote PAP outta here! Or at least hopefully in my constituency.

  • @HKichen dude only 7?........u really are stupid.......

These are dreams that the gov had commited themselves to do.

They might not have achieved all of them but at least they did their best

Stfu yr only a teenager lmao u know nothing of what the gov does to improve singapore

  • u c this erp gantry . . .pay-and-pay again but the problem cant be resolve

  • PAP thought that they can justify the rising income inequality by printing GDP GROWTH figures very BIG. It thought it could suppress all dissent by keeping a tight lid on media freedom.

For many years, it worked. But the dissent has built up, without the PAP realising, because it had closed off the feedback channels. Now YOUTUBE and the OPPOSITION has cut open the bag and all the water has come gushing out.

  • I am voting against the PAP because of how they have grossly neglected the needy, disabled, homeless, the aged, the sick who cannot afford healthcare, the mentally ill, the abused and suffocated Singapore of its soul in the pursuit of money and self-interest. They are greedy and have completely lost their conscience. I want a first world parliament.

  • @mofomoffin Look, it's the law of the market, and health care is relatively cheap.

  • @mofomoffin Why don't you donate then?

  • Do you think the foreigners will stay and defend this country if Singapore were to be attacked by other countries?. No,they will flee, this is not their land.

  • Vote PAP out of parliament because they have ill treated us. Do your own research to find out more.

  • every developed countries have the same problems with imported foreign workers. This is no longer an issue. If you want to reduce foreign dependent, it is only up to us the citizens to fight for it. Don't think you have a degree or masters meaning you are better off. sorry nowadays it becomes like you are holding an O level cert. most impt no worry to start low in terms of pay or job status. if you are good meaning you will soon be better off than others

  • • Pls think twice if u agree to e Ang Moh to scrap the lunch break for stock brokers, there will be another few thousand brokers vote against PAP. If not now, it will be 5 years later.

  • • The Ang Moh guy that SGX has hired is to make mil of $ for himself before he leaves Spore or may be he will be fired soon after spending $ 20 mil for e fail venture with Aussie Stk Eex. We are the Asian ppl, we dun/ cant swallow cold sandwiches from Monday to Friday. U expect the few thousand brokers work without any social life just because someone has to answer his bosses to justify his fat pay cheque & bonuses

  • • As what the ppl have been saying, if the govt has decided something, its decision has been made, any feedback from the concerned communities will have no used.

    • Pls find & read out the resentments the broker communities felt about this proposal before u ve to make another apology.

  • • U will tell us, come give us feedback & we will help u, our door is always opened for any ideas. Yes, u r right your door is always not locked but the fact is it is always closed. .

  • • Now, to think of it, the broker community may guess it right that the postpone was due to this coming election, so there wont create angst amongst the brokers before this election.

  • Dear Mr Prime Minister,

I ve a question to ask u. It was earlier on that SGX has announced that it will scrap e lunch break for all stock brokers, and it had later announced that this proposal has been postponed due to some reasons.

  • 87-0 come 8 May?

  • I'm Australian most Australians see Singapore as a great place to work but we know this upsets Singaporeans as we also worry here of foreign workers.

  • Sometimes I really wonder whether govt is putting too much effort in branding Singapore for foreigners to appreciate and admire that they have neglected the people at home.

  • Pretty much they failed badly. Not gonna bear with em for another 5 years. Brace yourself and stop being a follower. Don't be afraid the changes. It's gonna be ok. :)

  • Capable Singaporeans ARE getting jobs that suit their strength. Instead of whining that foreigners "stole" the jobs, why not face the competition by nurturing your own competencies? By growing up in the country, having great education, Singaporeans are having huge advantages compared to new-comers already. Despite such advantages, why companies like to hire foreigners? PAP is right. Globalization is inevitable. Stay stagnant will only kill the nation.

  • Now he apologize, too late!

  • vote this pm lhl out for all his undelvered promises !

    vote pap out !

  • Dear Singaporean,

VOTE wise for a good government!

HOW TO VOTE FOR A good GOVERNMENT explained.

  • A good government is one that is truthful enough to let the citizens know:

1] The status quo of the financial reserve so that the citizens will know whether the ruling government is doing a good job or not! For if the citizens are ignorant of the status quo of the reserve, then Singapore is at risk of facing collapse anytime as the ruling government is running Singapore like a World Business Corporation. For when its business[WBC] fails, Singapore will be financially bankrupt!

  • 2] The assets of all MPs. When the assets of the MPs are made known, then we will know whether they would be good MP to govern or not as then Singaporean would be certain that there would be no conflict of interests - that is, their vested interests in public listed companies conflicting with the interests of the Citizens - their interests in ONLY caring for themselves more than caring for the interests of Singaporean.

SINGAPOREAN. BE WISE & VOTE WITH KNOWLEDGE THAT COMES WITH UNDERSTANDING.

  • DUDE HSIENNY-LOONGGY, YOU ARE IN CLOUD NINE, LAD.

YOUR PARTY IS CRUMBLING MISERABLE IN THE TORNADO (SINGAPOREAN ROAR) - YET YOU PRETEND TO NAIL YOUR PATHETIC WINDOW IN A WIND OF 500KPH. ARE YOU STUPIDER THAN WE EVER THOUGHT...THE ROLLER COASTER RIDE IS OVER, OLD LAD LOO LEE, ITS OVER. PAP IS FINISHED. KAPUT!

  • Comment removed

  • The last words were so LOL.

Pledged to create jobs for Singaporeans? BAH! One hundred and thirteen thousand jobs- A large portion went to Foreigners. Now, the foreigners aren't the problem. It's the opportunities the PAP makes for Foreigners to take over our jobs that cause the problems. We won't mind foreigners, we only care when they start taking over our country. PAP begone! Enter, FAP: The Foreigner's Action Party.

  • Screw the PAP..
