So now I got to get a job doing this when I retire from being an attorney. it is not as exciting as the last time I got paid to pilot when I was flying A4s getting shot at and landing on a flat top.
I never realized that they make a dive at a line to hook it. I kind of figured they pulled a lever and it unrolled behind them at altitude or something like that.
damn that's scary...high angle of attack close to the ground...and when final approach, he's in close proximity to trees...is this why pilot is the 2nd/3rd most dangerous job in the US consistently? lol
Well you've given me another idea of what I can do. At least to help build hours. I don't really care too much what I do but I've always known I want to fly.
Yeah were I was they provide the aircraf and that's usally the way it is any where you go. But other then your commercial is a tail wheel rateing with 50 hours tail wheel time but it mostly comes down to your personality if they like you they will help you get all that right now there is a lot of pilots out there looking for work so be patient and something will come along my email is John_53_70@yahoo let me know when you get your commercial and I'll help ya get it touch with some banner guys
@1600u Thanks a lot man for the info. I take my instrument checkride this month! Studying really hard right now for it. I eventually want to fly corporate, and the banner towing looks like an absolute blast! Looks like great fun, and a great time builder!
Do you have to have your own plane? Or does the company provide them normally? How do you get into it? I'm about to get my commercial license in the next year or so, and it would be a great experience! Awesome video man!
Ahhh...the smell of fresh cut grass and salt in the air brings back memories of flying super cubs on the east coast. An experience that has no equal even after logging 6000+ hours. Great video!

How close to stall speed are you before you level off after picking up the banner? Looks like you're right close to stall speed.
bushpilot23 2 years ago
usally we were about 2 or 3 knots above stall speed when we leveled off
