  • :/ thats happening to my laptop too :/ how unfortunate D:

  • if you use a external monitor and its work fine then there is no problem with video card . then most probably the problem is not with inverter nor bulb but with the filter capacitorof your LCD

  • I have the exact same problem. And it got a lot worse. It was the display. As soon as I have changed the display, the problem went away. At first I thought it was the LCD cable or the inverter. I have changed both on my own money, but turns out it wasn't that. As I said before it was a problem with the display. But I still wonder, is the display fixable?

  • Maybe you have a cracked laptop screen. It is cracked in the inside.

  • @Heathermcshow Thanks for your suggestion. It was probably a cable or connection issue. Also, I apologize for the bad language. Um.. Everything your parents tell you is because they love you. :) No idea how this video got so many hits.. I guess it's a common issue which I do not have much insight for. Some of the comments below do, however!

  • it is a problem with your lcd's cable flexible... replace it with the new one, and your problem will be solved...

  • poutz

  • My HP laptop is doing this exact thing right now... it does it like 20% of the time now and it's getting more and more frequent. I seriously hope I can fix this cause I just bought this laptop a year ago and I can't afford to replace it.

  • The problem is your screen inverter, you should replace it to fix your problem.

  • use it at a rave!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well theres your problem......... Your computers on meth!

  • i have the same problem. i have dell latutide cpx j650. when i buy it froom second had it worked fine, but i decided to repair display hinges and after 2-3 weeks this problem appeared. it's not aways flickering, but when i need to do something on laptop and the screen starts flickering ......

  • SkyNet.... Your computer has been infected by skynet!!! in one hour it will initiate nuclear bomb launch sequence hence Judgement Day!!! Get John Connor and Katherine Brewster into Crystal Peak... LOL Compare this to the infection in Terminator 3...

  • I had the same problem after 6 months of use (had no warranty) and technical service advised me that replacing the screen would be the only solution.

Thought about buying a screen assembly on Ebay, but if it is a common problem with this serie, chances are you might get another defective screen.

Really don't know what to do ...

At the moment, I using my notebook connected to an external monitor. Battery is dead anyway, so zero mobility ...

  • hello, nice video, i really need help, im getting to the point im getting desperate because of my problem, im not really into computer things, so yeah what i need help is like when i turn my computer on, mouse is there, no problem, but when i load the game empire total war, the mouse goes, i know its still there because i can highlight and click stuff, but its really hard and annoying, ive tried everithing i can think of PLEASE HELP ! :]

  • The problem comes from the LCD cable. You have to change it, I have the same issue.

  • @Stereophony02 did you fix yours successfully?

  • @marcjtdc Yes I just fixed mine an hour ago XD.

I bought the LCD Cable on Ebay.

  • Comment removed

  • I have this problem too. However, this won't happen when I set the monitor to the lowest resolution. At first I thought this is because of the screen problem, but the fact that it won't occur at 800x600, make me think it might because of other reason..

  • I got the same problem, Similar to that one. I got the Lenovo 4446 35U.

  • just go bump it on to a wall not too hard thats the way i fix my screen..

  • It got a lot of water

  • For me this turned out to be a short in the screen cable. I would try that before anyone buys a new screen. The cable usually does not come with the screen so you could end up having the same problem after you replace the screen. My vidoe HP G50 Screen flicker 023.avi shows the short curcuit. You can also get step by step repair info by going to the webpage I made listed in the video.

  • Mine looked like that until I tore it apart and tightened some screws near it's hinges and clean some crud out around that area.

  • ITS A BAD SCREEN. YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ORIGINAL SCREEN.

  • did u EVEr find out whats wrong with it? mine does that ! respond asap!

  • @supernatdan04 did you find out the problem?

  • @marcjtdc umm ther was a number of problems my series of laptop that i bought put the motherboard and video card to close together so the mother board is cookin my video card or somethin like that.. s o my video card is cracked and cooking! said it wont last another 3 months depending on my usage

  • my one's doing the same thing. If I play around with the monitor and yank it a bit it will go clear, but everytime I start it up or come back after the screensaver has been on its go back to being garbled.

  • Its the train joke program!

  • There is a loose connection between the laptop body and the LCD screen. Over time, the cable gets worn when opening and closing the laptop. It is situated underneath the top part of the computer body, (usually, the bit where all the buttons are), which, depending on make and model, can be removed relatively easily . Once you manage to do this, you will be able to see the offending cable. The least problem is that it's loose. Or, in severe cases you may need to replace it.

  • @JFredUK I know you posted this response a while back, but you really helped me out man! I just wanted to say thanks.. this was the heart of the problem and I fixed it! Thanks again!

  • If it's an HP or a Compaq it could be the video cable shorting out against the monitor mount See my video tittled "HP G50 Screen flicker" to see the sparks.

  • lol, i thought mine was bad

  • my laptops flickering and ive only had it for a few weeks.

  • Did you ever find out what the cause of this was? My laptop screen does something similar... Not that bad, but while I'm using it, sometimes the screen does that...

  • No I never found out what the cause was. I ended up removing the screen from my laptop and connecting it to a monitor, as the rest of the laptop was ok. My guess is your screen will progressively get worse. Sorry. :/

  • @scatteredx0x bad connection at the conection between motherboard and screen had this problem and everyone had different answers this was as simple as finding out where it was disconnect and connect and it stopped.

  • Yep that's basically what mine is doing now...

  • ditto

  • @XTREEMMAK did you discover the problem and fix it?

  • @marcjtdc

For me, seems like the screen had gone bad. We opened it up and checked the monitor to motherboard seating cable too and it seemed like it was firmly connected to the board. We took it out and put it back on and the problem at first seemed to have gone away....however, 2 days later, the problem came back.

Needless to say, I have a Mac Book Pro now with Windows running on the other side. Best investment evar :D
